I just tried ROM:
[23.JAN.12] [cLK][MAGLDR] Android 2.3.3 Sense 2.1 NAND (Desire HD 2.50.405.2)
and i cannot run wifi hotspot functionality.When hotspot is started it reboots phone (soft restart), after that hotspot cannot be started (error) until hardware retart is done.
then all over again
I tried with wireless thether versions 2.0.6 and 2.0.7, no luck.
with 2.06 lapotp connects but cannot get internet acces (limited conectivity).
any advices ?
I started this thred only because 10 post rule, normally i would post into ROM's thread
any help would be appreciated.
btw. ROM looks and feels very very nice - expect problem described.

I cannot get Wifi to work, I can see networks but cannot connect: message cannot connect to network.
Mine laptop connects without an issue
Can anyone share any light on the matter, as i cannot post any question to developers thread.

Hi,
I noticed after upgrading to the official HTC Hero ROM for Europe 2.73.405.5 that i'm not able to turn on the wifi adapter. The message i get in the wireless control panel is "unable to start Wi-Fi". I don't use any application for wifi control. There is also no MAC address assigned in the phone information to the adapter.
I was working before with the MCR 2.2.
Could it be from a back up application which i installed to restore the data from the previous ROM?
The ROM is also rooted with flashrec.
Appreciate if you could please share me some tips how to turn the wifi adapter.

some times mobile networks have no connection !
WiFi cant found any network but other phones can !
speed od EDGE connection is very slow !

Are you running custom ROM or stock Rom?
If you running custom rom I would recommend changing your Radio and Ril. If you got OTA update from your carrier months back. People had trouble with wifi n later on they released another ota fix for wifi. If you haven't rooted your phone yet n feel flying free go to Dev section of DHD. It'll tell you every step what to do.
Can't get much help if running stock rom because you are chained lol.its the reality.

I had the same problem 4 months ago...
I delete all the usuary apps (it must be that someone had conflict with the rom :S) and when I restart the DHD, the mobile connection works good
P.D. Then I install all the apps again and no problems

i have moved my rom from cm7 to stock rom (RUU...exe)
now i am not getting wifi connection from my laptop, but i can get wifi connection from any router device from anybody...
please tell me the process to fix it

Try to update the radio. Worked for me.

I have just recently switched to Tezet's CM10 from german Vodafone Stock Android. A couple of my previous issues are now gone and kudos go to Tezet for that but I have now a different problem:
For the moment my only possibility to connect to internet is through an ad-hoc connection with my laptop's wifi (through Connectify). It was no problem on the previous ROM but now my ad-hoc network is not found when scanning for networks. I have read a little, and there were fixes for CM10 but for completely different smartphones. There is also a solution for Windows 7 but I'm running on Vista.
Has anyone been using ad-hoc connections on Tezet's CM10 or had any experience with that? Or maybe You could suggest a fix that would be "safe" for this port. I'm trying to be careful with applying mods and fixes 'cuz I'm new to this whole Android stuff.
Would be grateful for any response.
