[Q] an I run my nook OC'd using a stock nook that is rooted?

I have a rooted nook running 1.01 stock version.
I have setcpu on the nook, but it only shows 800 MHZ as as fast I can set it.
Could you guys suggest something that I would need to do to get it OC'd?
Or would I need to load CM7 for me to be able to do this?
No you don't need to have CM7 to enjoy Overclocked goodness. You will however need to flash a FROYO OC Kernel From Dal you can find the information you need in this thread.

[Q] Overclock Kernel WITH MultiRom

Hello,
I saw that there are kernels for the Nexus 7 making it able to overclock to 2Ghz
I dont really need the 2Ghz but 1.8Ghz is more then enough.
Is there a Kernel that allows CPU to 1.8Ghz and support MultiRom ?
Or is anyone working on it yet?

as far as i can tell no kernel do over clocking more then 1.7 Ghz and you have to individually read the kernel discription inorder to determine their computability with ur preferred rom.
And please post questions in Q&A section.
I don't think that's possible.

It is possible to overclock to 1.8 GHz but looks like that only works with Android 4.1... 4.2 and up cause bootloops. You should still be able to overclock to about 1.6 GHz. However, even I am using MultiROM. I don't think you will be able to have MultiROM with a kernel which would let you overclock since it makes changes to the kernel for booting more that one system. I want to overclock too. :crying: Anyone help? Maybe manually editing the elite or motley kernel should let you do that.
You can OC to 1.6GHz and still have multirom on a number of kernels including oxydo, M-Kernel, faux etc.
Finally!

Just realised, the main thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2011403) has links to custom kernels. Motley takes you to 1.6. Anyone know how to take it beyond that?

What overclock are you running? What is considered safe?

So, ever since installing arrrghhh's kernel on a stock deodexed rom I have been running my Razr M on the lulzactive governor @ 384 - 1728.
Device seems stable and not hot to the touch. Very snappy.
So, what are you running at?

Games crashing on 2012 kindle fire HD7 roms

I'm loving my $40 kindle fire (I got really lucky on cowboom) however I've flashed IOAP, AOKP TATE, and OMNI to my kindle fire HD and I've had the same issue each time. My games crash on each rom. Is there a stable rom?
The two games I've tested are Jet Set Radio and Threes.
I tried to flash CM 10.2 directly from their site but naturally that didn't work either. The flash failed in recovery. Any recommendations?
Can you give me the links to the games? I will test inside AOKP.
Sent from my Kindle Fire HD running AOKP

They're both paid games.
