A Big Thank You - Nexus S General

I just sold my Nexus S 4G so before I say adieu I wanted to give a huge thanks to all the developers that made my Nexus run so great. Without the fantastic developers here the Nexus would have been just another phone.
Thank You!!!

A big THANKS to the devs

I've had my fascinate for about a year and 1/2 now and the only reason I've loved it is because of the great devs we've had over the years. I'm talking about you jt1134, stephen, adrynalyne, weblexa, and of course nitsuj17. You all have truly made my experience a fascinating one. Sorry if I've forgotten anyone from the many builds I've used but I really appreciate all of you.
I just per-ordered the galaxy S3 so that I can maintain my unlimited data on a 4G phone so I will be saying goodbye to the fascinate community. You guys have been great and I really cannot thank you enough. Even though this phone came out ages ago it's been one of the best and still is in my opinion solely because of you guys.
don't worry, most of us are coming with you lol

Thx and goodbye

Just bought a SGS3 and sold my Atrix for 180€.
The reason is that with the new company in 2 years I'm going to save 200€ with a fully supported device, unlike Atrix.
I would like to thank everyone, in particular TopoGigi for his great rom.
Bye bye guys!
:good:
I'll be joining you in March

I think we should open a thread dedicated to "goodbyes".

Good luck my friend, hope you enjoy your new toys.
Mate you under credit yourself as my work on Mokee was minuscule in comparison to what you and saadislam brought to the table. Together I am proud to have worked as a team to give willy his Mokee your new port was the break that Mokee needed and excelled from. High five back at you. Thanks for everything.

thanks slymobi, my Desire X just came today and it is great phone, it reminds me on Willy

Thank you so much xda!

I recently joined in on tinkering with my phone and I have to say this has been really fun. I've been holding back for a year in fear that I wasn't capable, but with the community out there, there was never a shortage of information to help guide me through the long murky quest (for a noob) to unlock my boot loader and root my phone. It's a shame it took me this long to join in on the fun seeing as how the atrix seems to be on the tail end of it's life. Though it's a healthy one though. I will probably jump ship to the SGS4 as it releases but I'm going to enjoy a good solid month with my new found freedom. No more motoblur!
Free at last!... Free at last, thank God almighty! We are free at last!

Jump ship from MotoBlur to Touchwiz? I would've thought the logical choice was a Nexus device. Anyway, congrats, but beware, the SGS4 might not be properly supported by the Hacksung team/CM because they are fed up with how bad Samsung has been towards the dev community.

Thanks for the heads up. The HTC One is really enticing too. But my gripe is with the camera resolution and most of all, the integrated battery. I absolutely love the build though. But I need to an LTE device. Otherwise, I'd consider sticking with my atrix.

Just do yourself a favor, whatever you end up buying, check beforehand on how healthy the dev community is, or you might regret it in the long run. The way I see it, the most "dev friendly" 2013 device so far is the Xperia Z.

Bye Bye Guys :(

I bought a Nexus 4 and I wanted to say bye to you!
My Nexus S is still alive after 25 months of rom flashing addiction. ..
I'm leaving this forum with Ligux and Marmite on my baby.
I will never forget & regret that I bought the Nexus S..
Thank you all for helping and building roms.
Cheers
Julian
I smell treason. Your now sentenced to 5 years in building ROMs for the Nexus S & Nexus S 4G + 5 more year in building kernels too just for buying the Nexus 4. Hehehe. Have fun on the Nexus 4 side.
Same transformation with me, today I changed my phone Nexus s for the Nexus 4. I'm really sorry that I have changed the Nexus s but we have to move along with something better, and in deed it is way better phone. Thanks goes to the developers an the all community here on Nexus s page.
bon chance!
another one bits the dust!
i think my wife may be swapping over to a Nexus5 whenever it comes out!
Moved on a while ago but I still love this device. Currently in use as mp3 player but this may be one of the best androids of all time.

I can relate with that. I don't use it as mp3 player but for development purposes and I still love the hardware design...I think it is also that it was my first android phone but I really like it and intent to keep it "alive" as long as it can
