I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my user name is original_ganjaman. I have been assigned to moderate this forum.
My goal is to keep this forum as clean and easy to find what you need as quickly as possible. I ask you to help me by posting in the correct sections.
Please only post ROM Development, Hacks, Mods, Fixes and Tutorials in the development section, all questions go in general. This prevents the development section getting clogged up by irrelevant posts.

I would like to propose that all redundant threads I.E. Those stating the same piece of news/announcement or asking the same question again and again and again in separate threads be instantly and without warning locked by an admin with the words "Please read the forum or use the search facility".
If they have done so then they can say at the beginning of their thread "I have used search and read the forum but..."
Please vote for or against
we are doing that already
but is not easy to keep track of thousands of post per day....
duplicated, triplicated, pentaplicated posts are usually locked or merged
but even so it's amazing the amount of new dupes people can create after we clean them up every day

My apologies. I haven't been here in a while since I've moved on from the phone, but I saw him post about it and thought to check to see if you guys had been given the heads up about it. I looked through the first few pages of both the development sections and this section and didn't see anything. I never thought to look at the stickies. I never do, because they're out of the way when you're using the XDA app.
I'm sorry for clogging things up, I just wanted to help.

As I see it and understand there's different sections, section to talk about developing and section to talk about general crap so I don't see the problem.
