Hi.
Sometimes when I unplug power charger or disconnect USB cable from phone, battery icon still showing charging status, even Battery Status app showing charging state. Only powering off/on device restore correct state of battery icon. Next time when this state occur I will try to record small video and post it here.
Does anyone has the same problem as I have?
Cheers.
I had this happen on my Samsung Focus once. I turned off and back on to fix.

Omnia 7 with Mango RTM officially installed, working perfectly was recently let to sit idle while I was using my Focus, and the battery drained over time.
Today, I wanted to charge it, but plugging in the USB did not power the phone on. I even changed cables, and also used my PC to charge it - but for the life of me, it wouldn't turn on. I even let it sit with the charging cable in it for a while.
I also took the battery out and only plugged the cable, still nothing.
Is the phone dead? Can anything be done to revive it - it was a flawless phone and there were no issues as such. I would appreciate any help.
Update: I plugged in the USB jig which powered the phone on, but now it's in the download mode. Powering it down and and trying to restart it again I am hitting a dead end. It's not powering on. Anyway to restart the phone without removing battery?
Update 2: I remembered from the past trying to update the ROM, that it fails and restarts the phone. So, while in the download mode, I started the ROM updater from Samsung and ran through the normal update process. It failed and restarted the phone - now I see a big white battery charging icon on the front screen. So hopefully this will be ok - and I will update the progress.
But this is quite disturbing as to what steps I had to take to power it on. Imagine if I didn't have the USB jig.
Update 3: After showing the battery icon for about 5-10 minutes, the phone restarted itself and booted normally. It's now charging and hopefully all will be ok. I'll make sure I don't let the battery die again.
I have an Omnia 7 and the battery wont just charge in the phone. It charges with an external charger though. When I connect the charger, it shows that it is charging by virtue of the icon in the top right corner but in actual fact, the battery doesn't charge and finally, goes off totally.
As if that isn't enough, when I remove the charger from the device, the notification tone keeps beeping as if I am connecting and disconnecting the device continuously even when I have no tone set for notifications. Am confused as to whether it is a software or a hardware problem. I have the feeling it is the Micro-USB port on the phone that has developed a problem. Please any help?
Thanks.
Try removing the Battery for a minute. Should resolve the problem totaly. If not, your battery is probably damaged.
I've got the same problem, but my battery is fine, after charging, phone making beep noise, like plag in plag out, sometimes it stop itself. Can say for sure, it starts after i done update 3.02.12. also phone sometimes turn "off" "on" itself.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Hi,
I've a strange problem with my N7. Today it completely turned off because the battery was 0%. As I noticed that I plugged it in to charge. Since then it continuously reboots but doesn't charge at all. I'm still stuck at 0% battery.
I tried different mUSB cables but that did not help.
When it reboots, I can see the lockscreen with the info that the device is charging but after a few seconds it just turns off (without the notification "Device shuts down" or sth like that).
I also noticed a buzzing sound while the N7 is plugged in....
Ok, good news. After another restart I quickly activated the airplane mode and after one reboot it finally showed 2% battery. I have no idea why it charges with airplane mode one, but I am that's back alive...
Steps to reproduce
- plug in to recharge and allow device to go to sleep mode
- after sufficient time has passed to ensure that the device would have fully charged, press the power button to turn on. Optimally unplug the charger at the same time.
- device comes on, shows low battery indicator and turns off automatically
- turn the device back on. Starts up normally. You will see that the battery is fully charged now.
Can anybody tell me how to solve it? Thanks very much!
Hi
Suddenly when powered off, I saw that when I plug in the charger, the battery icon pops up in the middle (as expected) the charging icon comes and that's it. It just shows a empty battery with a lightning icon. The weird part here is that i'm unable to turn the phone on the normal way and if I unplug the charger (even for minutes) the empty battery icon stays on and still can't turn on.
The only way to turn the phone on is home+power+vol down and when in download mode, choose cancel then restart.
I'm rooted on a custom rom, but haven't really changed anything.. Tried formatting and reinstalling everything.. Not seem to fix it.
Any ideas?
No problems on mine. Turned it off, plugged it in, got the battery icon with the percent of charge and three dots moving up from the bottom of the screen to the battery image. Pressed the power button for a couple of seconds, and it powered up like normal. I'd raise it with your ROM developer.
