1. Depends on your settings. You can check where it is installed under settings --> applications --> manage apps --> click the one you want to check.
Yes you can remove the apk from the SD
2. Only system apps are stored in system/app. User apps are stored in /data. You can uninstall apps in setting --> apps --> manage apps --> "click the app you want" --> uninstall
3. If you are running out of memory then yes. But it is not needed. I never put my apps on SD because it is slower than internal memory...

ei i install flashdash onto my sd card but the system memory decrease...why?
Sometimes the app allocates some files to the main memory so that it can be standby even when the PPC is turned off. Some time just a lot of log or temp files.
BTW:If you install CAB files, use CabInstaller to specify the location to Card.
Cheers,
Tian
My phone is beginning to repeatedly give me a low storage warning.
Was just wondering if there are any solutions or things you can recommend. Perhaps transfer everything from the phone storage to my 16gb storage card?
Or things that can be deleted without doing damage?
Look forward to your reply!
Theres a couple quick things that come to mind
Ensure camera photots are saved on memory card (done in camera settings)
Make sure Opera cache is on Storage card (there is info on how to do this on the forum)
Try not to use Marketplace as it defaul installs apps to device (unable to change default)
If you do use marketplace ensure you move the apps using FileManager (or equivalant)
Ensure all apps (except system updates) are installed on Storage Card
Delete cabs from device after installation
Ensure all music/files/photos are stored on storage card
did anyone find a way to store e-mails on microSD (not attachments) ?

Top man! That's good advice there. Is there any other things that need the default save location changed?

i have 119 MB left
go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications. Go to Market and uninstall updates and clear cache. Then from the same menu, uninstall the app that isn't working, if it is currently installed.

well i download like 4 apps then it wont let me download ANY apps
ur storage space is full, how big is ur SD card? what about internal memory free space?
I don't have any options to install apps. Apps will be installed automatically after download. Please help.
I think the app has to support it and then you go to manage apps and pick the app and press move to SD card
check app2sd on market
I think there is a setting in Spare part that will allowed that to be fixed, also, a apps manager (can't remember which 1, will help as it seems to have a default setting for all apps downloaded to be installed to SD...
sorry, cannot be of much help as I am in the office now and that my NAND built had died on me.
Regards
I use App2Sd (can manually move certain apps to sd) together with SpareParts (where I set default to install apps to external memory), but you can also try Move2SD Enabler from the Market.
lots of thanks guys
Also titanium backup pro version can forcibly move apps to SD, though this can have some undesired results, it can help save a few extra MB, and the app can always be moved back to phone if a problem arises...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893620&highlight=spare+parts-update1&page=103
Uninstall Spare parts, Download and Install spare parts-update1
Move2SD Enabler works perfect, you can move "ALL" your Apps to SD. After installed Move2SD Enabler, must activate it, then you can use Apps2SD to move the Apps.
Hello,
I was searching for a way to put large games like (asphalt 8, nova3, and any other games) on sd card on my rooted samsung galaxy s4 because the internal storage is very low and about to be full.
First i tried to use the file manager i have sent the odd file and the apk(which in the data folder) but the game didn't work, it was searching for required files and asked to download them.
Then i tried many apps which need root acces on my device to send the games on sd card but i got the same problem...
Is there are any way to send the game on sd card and make it work there?
Thanks.
try app2sd...it is on play store ?
I have already tried it but it send the apk file only i want app or any way to send the apk and the odd to the sd card and make it work there.
This depends on what rom you're using.
You could try Folder Mount
Actually all these apps aren't useful i can already use any file manager to send the game files to the sd card but the problem is when i add the game to sd card when i open the game it dont find the game's files.
And about which rom am i using i didn't get it and how to know my rom?
I use the xposed module Obb2SD, so all my games are moved to SD card then the Obb files are also moved onto the SD card.
I am using a custom Rom.

If you are using the stock samsung rom then you just have to go to Manage apps and find the game you want to move and the press "Move to sd card".
Moving the apps manually will not work.
Folder Mount will move the app data to the sd card and trick the system into thinking it's on the internal storage.
I have just used folder mount by sending the game files (the folder in the data and its folder in the odd) but the game won't find their files
Did you get the phone new? Did you flash any custom rom on it or is it the stock samsung firmware that comes with the phone?
The only thing i have done with my phoned is rooting it with a custom recovery, there is no any custom roms im just using just the stock rom.
Then the rom should have the option to move apps to sd.
I know that my stock 4.4.2 samsung firmware had that option.
Go to settings > apps > downloaded, and tap any app you want to move. There should be an option "move to sd card" or something like that.
