In addition, this update seems just for Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note international version. Meanwhile, the operator version of both devices will get update Android 4.0 ICS in different time, like Galaxy Note for AT&T that’s reported to get it on February 19th.
Update Android 4.0 ICS will brings something interested for Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note. According to the reports, it will improve the functionality and user interface, even though still using Samsung TouchWiz UI. So, be patient to wait Android 4.0 ICS for your Galaxy S II or Galaxy Note.

Wow, that's some really bad English on that site. And some misinformation too, as the 19th February is the release date for the AT&T Galaxy Note, not the day it will recieve the ICS update.

I'm not sure if you all noticed or not, but the Samsung Epic 4G didn't get updated to Android 2.2 on December 26th like one rumor claimed it would. Sprint promised that the upgrade would come "ASAP," and now another rumor has appeared that claims to know exactly when that is. According to a source speaking with Android Central, the Epic will finally be bumped up to build EA17 of Froyo on February 21st. However, the Epic's not the only Galaxy S that'll be getting a nice surprise this month, claims the site. They say that all of you Fascinate owners should "keep your calendars clear on or about Feb. 22."
Considering all of the rumors and delays that have surrounded the Galaxy S Froyo updates, it's tough to believe anything new we hear on the situation, but this newest bit of speculation seems like it could be right on. After all, T-Mobile's Vibrant finally got updated to Android 2.2 late last month, and U.S. Cellular's Mesmerize is due to see the upgrade soon. We'll just have to cross our fingers (and our toes) and hope. Do you all think that we'll finally see two more Galaxy S Froyo updates later this month?
These threads are so getting old. If I wanted news I would go to engadget or like sites myself. BTW I seem to be running froyo already.
good day.
Thank you for posting first in the wrong section, then posting a duplicate thread again, in the correct section. You could have just waited for a mod to come along and move it instead...
He is literally doing this to spam his website links, I would think this should be a ban.
So this evening I was browsing my Facebook when I noticed a comment made by Samsung Mobile. Here is their post:
"What is 10.1 inches of Android 3.0 Honeycomb delight? Only a few days away from launch! Sign up NOW for the LATEST info - http://pub.vitrue.com/HNs"
Here is a direct link to the page:
https://www.facebook.com/SamsungMobileUSA
Hopefully we will get some more information about price, etc. Would also like to know if Best Buy will be selling tablet on launch. (Sure they will, but would like confirmation)
I didn't see this posted anywhere on the forums including AndroidCentral.... hope this helps!
Well, nevermind I guess. When I read that post, I interpreted "few days" as just three or four days. I understand the launch date was supposedly confirmed for June 8th, but that's a little more then a "few days" .... would have been better worded as a couple of weeks.
Was hoping this was referencing to an early launch date.

Well this might effect the official launch of the 10.1 and 8.9 and other samsung galaxy items
Read here --- http://crave.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/apple-forces-samsung-to-hand-over-galaxy-prototypes-in-legal-spat-50003870/?tag=mncol;txt
I think there is a zero chance of Apple being able to postpone Samsung's product launch.
Though Samsung could delay their own launch if they don't have 3.1 quite ready or are trying to get TouchWiz on at the last minute or something or some other last minute tweak. Kinda worried they canceled the May 24th event.

I think if we manage to get a copy of the ROM loaded on Galaxy Note 10.1, we would have a good version of ICS for our Note.
Hardware is exactly the same!

No phone functionality though, which likely limits it's usefulness!
That being said, I would lay odds on the fact that the Note 10.1 ICS ROM is based on the Note 5.3's ICS ROM anyway, so it's unlikely any leaked version would be any more stable than those we already have.

Dave

True, indeed.
Could be great to see full tablet mode on note 5,3

Certainly it would help ROM development but what we really need is a more stable ROM for our own devices and kernel sources!

Probably bluetooth headset?
I would rather they keep the voice calling feature available rather than disabled.
Hi All...I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but...
According to a Sony Representative, he said that our phone [ Xperia SP ] won't be receiving the much awaited "KitKat" Update
you can check it out for yourself right here

Note: That translates to "I got confirmation from Sony that the Xperia SP won't be receiving the Kitkat update"
This is one of the reasons why I am getting the Z1c I mean Sony always forgets the Non-Flagship phones
I mean look the Galaxy Nexus has a KitKat Update!!! and ours doesn't?
already posted
Already posted and you have to believe that we can't trust these man. I remember one of them said that we will have Xperia Windows Phone almost year ago and till now, SONY still don't use Windows Phone OS.

Direct quote from the article listed in OP
"Once such thread from 18 February 2014 was asking about the availability of the Android 4.4 KitKat"
That was weeks ago. It's still listed under investigation, so honestly, I wouldn't put too much weight on this post. That was almost 2 months ago and no official word. Yes, that person later said that he/she got "confirmation", but from who? If it were true, the websites would be updated.
We'd all be best to stop speculation and rumors to wait until Sony's press officially says something through their proper channels, not an AMA on some random site.
Yeah it was written on april 1st lol

I don't mind if we don't get Kitkat, but i wish they at least fix install lag in 4.3.

If this notice is true it will be a shame for Samsung's side. They want to put many smartphones and tablets in the market but they can't update all so they invent stories like these. All my android's equipments are Samsung but Tab Pro will be the last equipment from this brand! And i bealive that are more people thinking like me.

I am also never getting another samsung device...if they tease their customers like this. They must just hate repeat buyers. But really, it they did release the update, it would be throttled down to encourage sales of the newer tabs. This is what I believe they did with kk. Why else would the tab s have no lag, and ours have lag on every screen change with the same hardware? Dirty tricks! I am done.
Device Support 3 years. We have to get at least something
http://www.youmobile.org/blogs/entr...-1-Lollipop-Update-is-coming-by-Early-Q3-2015
Q3-Q4))
From another chart I've seen, the first batch of Samsung tab getting M will be the Tab A. Yes, not the new 4:3 "flagship" Tab S2, not the older flagships Tab S and TabPRO, not our PRO 8.4 which has a Qualcomm SoC and should be easier to maintain, but the lowly Tab A!
I wonder what had gotten into Samsung these days...

[WARNING: XDA Premium 4.0.13+ lacks Signature function - do not update]
I really don't understand them. It's much more easier have 10 devices and update them than have like 100 devices and TRY to update them. It's a shame!
I am not surprised with lack of Samsung devices selling. First Samsung is expensive, Second they just promises about updates and Third KNOX sux!
These is the main reasons to me to abandon Samsung!
