Unable to root Xperia Play 2.3.4 - Xperia Play General

I updated Android to V2.3.4 and of course it lost root.
I made sure to download all the Android SDK updates.
My model is R800A.
USB Debugging is enabled, so it unknown sources. Bootloader is locked and cant be unlocked. I checked the sony erricson website, it says it cant be unlocked.
But neither SuperOneClick or Doom's methods are working.
Both of them just seem to freeze on the part: "daemon started sucessfully"
Then nothing happends.
Is anyone able to help?

Ok fixed it.
I guess i had to reboot after updating the USB Drivers.
After doing this superoneclick worked.

[Q] Problems after root

Hello
After rooting my xperia play. I now cannot install apps at all. Market downloads the app then gives the error download unsuscesfull. Tried from market.android.com but phone not on there any more. I have reset my phone cleared data from all apps reflashed root update (do get an error saying 1 bad block) error started after I installed busybox and hard reset.
Can anyone help?
Did you unlock bootloader and rooted and the same time?
reason I ask is that I noticed that after I unlocked the bootloader my handset disappeared from market.android.com and didn't show again for several hours. Once it showed again I was able to download apps etc.
I had no issue after root but I did unlock the bootloader the day Sony Ericsson released it.
na i unlocked the bootloader as soon as i came out

[Q] Rooting/Unrooting problems

Ok, so ages ago I fooled around with my GT-I9506 S4 and rooted it.
Then I 'unrooted' it or so I thought.
I went to install a tap and go bank payment app on my phone and it refused to install saying my device was rooted.
I ran Root Checker and it said my phone was not rooted.
I went in to system settings and hit update and it refused, saying 'your device has been modified'.
So I have several questions,
1. How do I well and truly unroot my phone?
I'm downloading a stock firmware from Sammobile, should I just use Odin and do a complete reinstall?
2. Or instead, I see Xposed http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer seemingly can help you defeat root detection when installing handy apps.
Thing is I've tried connecting my S4 to my Win 7 PC which has the lastest Samsung usb drivers installed but it won't detect so I can't transfer APKs.
Grrrrrr. Oh, and Kies doesn't work either. ****ing Samsung, I can't believe how badly supported their phones are.
Both options would work.

Galaxy Tab SM-T335

Have recently got this tablet from Vodafone. Am trying to root it but for some reason it just wont let me. I have made sure USB Debugging is enabled and followed various guides using Odin 3.0.9. To no avail. On odin it finds the device no problem but when the rooting process starts it just hangs and hangs. Anyone have any ideas?

It's Vodafone branded so probably your bootloader will be locked.
Has someone the DBT firmware with 4 tiles? About Frija i became only the 1 Tile FW
Vodafone shouldn't have any locks in bootloader or something like that. So... Just install TWRP for millet and install Magisk through it.

Not receiving OTAs and can't side load 7.1.1 OTA

Hi all,
I enrolled into the Android Beta program when 7.0 stable was released so that I would receive the OTA earlier and as soon as I received it I un-enrolled. Since then I have not been receiving OTAs and my Security Patch level is August 2016. Checking for updates says my device is up to date. I decided to side load the 7.1.1 OTA to my device so that I would have the latest Android version and security patch and hopefully this would fix my OTA issue too.
I'm running macOS 10.12.1 and I downloaded the OTA file from Google's site and installed ADB for Mac using a Terminal command from xda. My phone is recognised in Terminal if I run adb devices when it is fully booted and in Photo Transfer mode, but when I put my phone in Recovery mode and select install from ADB and then run the command again my phone is no longer recognised. I try running adb sideload <OTA Filename.zip> but I get error: no devices found. USB debugging is enabled and my cable is high quality and supports data transfer, so it's neither of those things.
I don't want to do a factory reset because I don't want to lose my data, and I have wiped the partition cache too which also hasn't worked. I've looked for a long time but can't seem to find a solution but figured some clever being on here might be able to help me. Any suggestions?

I'm going to assume you are completely stock with no root or custom recovery. Have you tried re-enrolling in the Beta and rebooting? You may get a new OTA after enrolling. Sounds like you may also not have the correct drivers installed to properly use the LATEST version of ADB/Fastboot. Sorry I can't help you with a Mac, but there are also several toolkits for PC that automate this for you. NRT by Wugfresh, and Skipsoft to name two.

I contacted Google and they said the only solution was to perform a factory reset. I didn't want to do that so I just enrolled into the beta again, received the 7.1.1 update and then un-enrolled. Not sure if I'll have the same problem going forward but if I do then I guess I'll have to do a factory reset
Thanks for your help!

ZC550KL Woes - Unable to Root - Z010D - Fastboot Not Working

Hello Everyone,
I am having lots of issues with rooting my ZC550KL. Used both the Asus Utility Unlocking tool (The APK does not install even though the unknown sources option has been enabled) and the Fastboot hangs while looking for a connected device. I have had used the Google USB Driver on Windows and the Phone is recognised, also tried this on Linux and still no luck..
Can someone help me with any other fresh Ideas on how I can get this sorted? I have had used the latest Update from Asus and updated to marshmallow. Also not sure if I can downgrade back to 5.0.2 which was the original Firmware this phone was shipped with.
Really appreciate any feedback.
After a few hours of digging, I've ended up flashing the stock Lollipop Image and now I am finally rooted..
