I'm trying to upload a video, not watch one. Also you wouldn't need Adobe flash to watch YouTube.
But don't worry, I figured out another way, just use my YouTube mobile email to send vids to and upload then from there using email.
Thanks for your help anyway.

found adobe/macromedia flash player 7

Sorry if this is old news but I've been looking for something to play flash on my XDA for a while but I couldn't find a mention in any forums, so I tracked this down on the adobe site
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/downloads/player.html
again sorry if it's old news but you never know someone else may have been looking for the same thing
Edit reason - realised people may skip this if they thought I was looking for a copy rather than I'd found one, also attached the file just in case it disappears from the adobe site
won't play
i've downloaded the flash player and installed it..but i still can't watch videos from youtube??? any suggestions on how i might fix this???

You're right! I was looking for this. Many thanks.
Actually for watching youtube videos flashplayer 7 is not enough, because, if I am right, the video streaming feature (which is used by every video site) has been introduced only in flashplayer 9.
Hi,
This tool will help you to enable flash support into your Opera browser: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4255967&postcount=21

App to download flash videos to phone?

I'm looking for an app that will download flash videos to the phone. Anyone know of any?
Any help is very much appreciated. TIA
are you looking for a certain site? there is W.V.D. that will download some flash video sites i a few formats
Cool thanks. That's exactly what I was looking for. I also discovered pocket downloader from that thread. I think it integrates with Opera, so i can go to any flash video website and download those vids. I'm gonna give that a shot too.

Skyfire browser is good for flash content but not for flash video. It works, it's just soooo slow for video.
Youtubeplay
Youtubeplay cab available on XDA works well. It searches all youtube videos, you can download vids in flash format and get even mp3 out of it.

Youtube videos from the Browser (Opera n etc)

Hey guys, I wanna know if i can play youtube videos in the youtube app after i click on a video on the browser..Like the Ipod.
Basically when i click on the youtube video/link in the Internet browser (Opera) how can i make the video play in youtube app automatically without viewing it on the web browser itself...
Sorry for my bad english
Thanks.
bump....any help ?
2 ways... 1.... make IE your default browser and it will load the mobile version of the youtube site. When you click the video, it will open the youtube app to play or option 2.... Click the link, into opera you go... Change tjhe youtube link that is loaded by adding an "m" in front of youtube. So it should read... www.m.youtube.com.(remainder of the provided link) then it will properly load the mobile youtube link. Click the video and the youtube app will launch.
Cool it worked...Thanks alot for ur help

Ya, like dial-up circa 1995 slow.
i tried going to failtube with ie, it works a lot better than skyfire as far as quality is concerned. in opera, you can do the same by turning on "plug-ins" under the options --> advanced (or something to that end). it works sometimes, other times it doesn't. beats me why.

yeah, the youtube app works great but have some inconvenient like we cannot change the volume
Can't you just change the volume normally? I don't even have to exit the app. Seems to work for me. Anyways the youtube app works well, video quality is great.
