Hi all!
While using Root Explorer I came across two folders, /data/local/tmp/ and /data/drm/tmp/ which have the apk files of the programs I have on my phone. As far as I know the essential apks are in the /data/app/ folder, so is it safe to delete the contents of the first two folders?
Thanks in advance!
Yes, I do this all the time You must know that /data/drm/tmp seems symlinked to /data/local/tmp, so when you delete the apks in one folder, the other ones should disappear, too, but I'm not sure honestly...but you can delete them safely
Thanks a lot
I recently installed freex10 2.2 and data2sd and now when i try to add apps to my apps folder on my pc they are not showing up in the file manager on my phone? also if i delete an app from the folder they do not disappear from my phone? is there a way to do it using xrecovery? thanks
So my dad accidentally deleted the folders and files in file manager. His tablet works fine, he uses it to browse so doesn't download anything, but I want the files there for peace of mind.
How can I get all the original files back? Dont really want to reset the tablet as it has got his apps and so on which I don't want reinstall. If that's the only option though then I will reset it.
I do have the same tablet myself so if that helps then please let me know.
So he uninstalled the file manager? Or deleted something else?
If it's on yours, you can copy and transfer with no issue.
If he just uninstalled the filemanager or deleted an aspect somehow, copy over directly, or install a different file browser like ES.
File manager is still there but my dad must have gone on it and pressed delete, select all, and delete again. So there are no files in file manager, or any folders, apart from maybe 1 or 2.
It shouldn't affect anything then, but if you like just go into your file manager and copy all the folders, then you can put them in anther folder, which you copy and empty in his filemanager directory. Its simple cut and paste really
I put the new root on my M the other day. I went into ES File Explorer and found the system apps folder and deleted everything I didn't want (didn't delete anything important). But after that I noticed that some of the apps I deleted were still on the phone. I realized that I forgot to look in the vendor apps folder. IT ISN'T THERE! lol! Can anyone tell me where I can find the vendor apps folder? If there even is one?
lol honestly safest thing would have been to remove via titanium backup.. I just froze everything. I'm sure you could remove that way too and make sure all the other files attached would have been removed.
Hi all

1) Anyone know what is this "mei" folder in DCIM folder?

I googled and didn't find any answer and solution to this.
Thanks in advance.

Use root explorer, find the dcim folder. Inside there find the mei folder. Inside mei folder create a file and name it .nomedia now that folder or any files won't show in gallery. Or delete the mei folder from dcim with root explorer not via gallery

Thanks but i am not saying that there is pictures inside. I said the mei folder keeps appearing. Its always empty. I always delete the folder using es explorer not gallery but it will reappear again.

Then it must be down to an app that's using storage permission to create that folder. Try to find the app and disable permissions or delete
I have the same too, but that folder is not a big deal... If you deleted the "mei" folder, it will reappear again when you open LINE app...
