[Q] GPS Signal loss when data connection is on - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hello,
I have a strange issue with my HD2.
If I turn on data connection on, I can't get a steady GPS fix. I loose it all the time during several minutes.
If I turn off data connection, I don't loose GPS signal, but I can't use Google Navigation, Waze, ABonEntendeur... and all other tools which needs data connection.
I'm using Tytung's GPS libraries (V2.1 RPC) on a Runnymede version.
I'm using the marc's 0.1.8 kernel with MagLoader
I tried and turned on Wifi, Data and GPS. As long as I was connected to Wifi hotpost, I didn't loose the GPS signal. I went outdoor, I lost Wifi signal, data connection turned on, I lost GPS signal and didn't get it anymore !
Where should I start from to troubleshoot that issue ?

Same here, with TBD Sense 3.5 and also with Dorimanx latest CM7.2 ROM.
Issue seems to be unfixed atm.

I finally installed a Cyanogen 9 ROM...

[Q] Disconnect from weak wifi signal without disabling radio?

First, I apologize if this question has been covered before. I've searched extensively but sometimes I miss the obvious.
I'm trying to find a way to have my phone automatically disconnect itself from my router when the signal is weak without turning off the wifi radio. I've found apps that automatically turn off the radio when the signal is weak, then intermittently turn it back on to see if the signal has improved, but this isn't exactly what I'm looking for.
There are certain areas in my house (and backyard) where my phone still sees the router, but the signal is so poor the 3G is actually (significantly) faster. But Android doesn't switch you over to 3G until the wifi signal is actually lost.
I know if you leave the range of your router but leave the radio on, the 3G takes over automatically and the wifi radio runs in the background, silently searching for a connection. So is there any way to use this functionality to tell your phone to disconnect the wifi automatically if the signal is incredibly weak (but still connected)?
My first thought was to set up a Tasker profile of some kind, but I haven't had any luck. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately connecting/disconnecting wifi using Tasker is not possible.
when I owed droid X I had the same issue, I flashed custom baseband and it helped

CM9 and GPS

I'm having an issue with any application using the GPS in the new CM9 mod, it seems the GPS connects for a few minutes, but then it loses connection and searches for a GPS signal for a few minutes before it finds me again. This constantly happens even after a re-install, restart, etc. it does the same thing.

[Q] No connection after standby

I'm using AOKP ICS 4.0.4, fresh install after full wipe.
Phone was charging over night, wifi and bluetooth disabled. When waking up from standby, I no longer had service. -105dB signal strength and no provider found. Bluetooth, GPS and Wifi did still work, but no mobile connection.
Powersafe mode was active and configured to switch to 2G only. Deep sleep mode was active, since Wifi and bluetooth had been disabled.
A reboot did solve the problem temporarily, but the problem shouldn't have occurred in the first place.
I never had an issue like this with any of the previous roms (all 2.2 / 2.3), although non of them had working deep sleep mode, so it might be related to it.
I'm living at the edge of HDSPA reception, so the phone will frequently switch between HDSPA, 2G and no net at all, like every time someone using the same provider walks by. It might have lost connection to provider while in standby and probably got stuck when waking up.

[Q] Data not working, GPS trying to get a lock

I'm having an issue that just sprung up today. My mobile data is not working but shows as connected (under About Phone -> Status it shows as connected to HSPA and has an IP address). In addition, the phone is constantly searching for a GPS lock even after a fresh reboot. If I walk outside so that the phone can get a GPS lock data starts working for a short time, but once I'm back inside (still 5 bars of signal) data stops working again. It is not signal related as if I disable GPS and go outside the phone still does not work.
I am on T-Mobile and have tried the SIM in another phone which is able to connect with no issues. Any idea what could be going on that the phone is unable to use mobile data if I do not have a GPS lock? SMS/voice works fine at all times.
Edit: Also, the signal indicator will occasionally turn blue like it has a connection to Google services, but I still cannot access any web pages or get to any e-mail that is not already cached.

GPS signal lost when mobile data is enabled

HTC ONE M8
Custom ROM android 9 lineage OS 16.0
I have noticed problems with the GPS on my device. Google Maps and Waze many times the GPS signal drops and can not determine the location.
In my test I could find that the GPS problem happens when the Mobile Data are active. Just disabling mobile data and GPS back to work with good accuracy and even on rainy days.
If I connected to WiFi and mobile data is disabled GPS working normally.
I researched on the Internet and can not find a solution to the problem. Already restored the network connections and even restored the factory settings.
Please help me... What is the problem ?
