Just found this:
http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/show/offer/htcdiamond?WT.ac=ACSPPMO_3R
In this flash animation changing the tabs in manila comes with an other effect.
Is it a new ROM?
(sorry if lame)
I think that is just an old version of manila being shown there, as far as I know the animation effects were reduced because of the high overheads and therefore to speed up the response of the Diamond.
yeah, its the old slow version...
i know someone who still has that on his phone
I see... thanks
I thought it was something new... never mind
wow, i forgot how cool that looks. i remember seeing that in April and i had to buy this phone... to bad that animation and the 00:00 and flip to current time at home screen is gone too.
will forever be missed
You can install this version if u want. And i cant say i lags so much. U can dload it here http://rapidshare.com/files/168002454/manila.cab.html

in old TF3D versions, every time you returned to home, initially the clock would display 00:00 and flip to the current time.

Is that cab for just the time appearing as 00:00 when returning to the Home screen?
Or is it the TF3D that the OP requested?
I only want the time to show 00:00 then flick to the current time.

but who wants to run an old version? not me. we are just discussing the fact that is has been discontinued. thats all
Well we dont want an older version but we want the feature of it. Im sure it can be incorporated now since the custom roms speed TF3D quite a bit it may not even be that laggy, or just have it as a setting in TF3D config for those that do want it.
How do we find out what files are needed to make this happen
I vote for this to
yea I to would love that feature actually have asked for herg to use it in his fuze flip clock cabs but he said he didnt know how to...but yea to get that feature back would be kick ass!! I actually have a file that if used with Manila customizer gives you that effect an even makes the tf more smoother like a glide effect not skip

Ok guys, hold on to your boxers 'cause Santa has just dropped in...
If you want:
1. Original Manila (full animation), download "tlr-manila.cab".
2. T-Mobile theme on original Manila: tlr-manila-tmobile.cab
3. Optimized+fade animation+slider effect: tlr-Manila-38.cab
Note: I have been using #3 for 4 months so far, and its VERY stable, light, and the animations are stylish enough.

I'm trying to install #3 but the progress bar moves extremely slowly and near the end, it fails saying that it doesn't have sufficient permissions
After that, my home screen is empty except for the tabs on the bottom

I'm not sure I would use the term "very stable". Stable maybe. But very, I don't think so. The 3 main issues I have are delay when waking from sleep, screen freezes and it occasionally not charging past a certain percentage.
Those are big enough issues that would keep me from calling it very stable. I barely am calling it stable with those issues and that's the best setup I've gotten after trying at least half a dozen Android ROM variants.
From my experience that is.

well i would call it stable. and the thing regarding charging was a battery driver being not fully written. it was only improved not too long ago

if you would bother to go look in development threads and not in the discussion threads im sure it would be easy to find it
I'd say that some of the latest builds I've used are just as if not more stable than WM; in that I've experienced less crashes and freezes.

I`d switch to NAND right away if I could. Running an OS from the SD card is like running Windows 7 from your USB drive. Right now, Android System has used 66% of my battery and I find that a damn lot for an OS. If it`d be running from NAND, it would for sure use less battery, as it wouldn`t be necessary for Android to read and write on the SD card all the time.
Regarding the OP`s questions... I dunno about colour depth, but yes, both the "Power off" and "Reboot" options will be fully functional once NAND Android kicks in.

Alarm doesn't work on any android phone when it's powered off, so HD2 won't do it either. Off is off, use plane mode if you don't want to be disturbed at night.

I did the same went back to a custom rom with android loading from sd card. I've done the CWM and it ran very good but I just prefer the ability to go back to win mob if I ever need to.
for me the guys done a great job on this (beta) build which is awesome but it seems very drab and plain compared to all the other builds that this great phone can have on it.

QFE, we should all go to the Android forum to say how it is bloated (for me at least) and how much WP7 beats it to the ground.
But we won't, will we, we are gentlemen!

i guess its all about personal preference. i have WP7 on my HD2. simply put its clean, fast and amazing. battery consumption seems to be very good. though android is still the best in terms of flexibility/ease of use. i wouldn't sacrifice the OS for a mere battery percentage.
Install HTC Battery Tool and it will tell you the exact remaining battery along with all info you may ever want to know about your battery and much more

2-3 days? Damn. I used to get 2.5 days while on Wolfbreak. But on MIUI I get max 1 day. I have to charge next morning with 20% remaining battery. I am on alexander MIUI.
I keep my 2G internet on every day. Approx 5mb internet is used.
These days I dont use set cpu coz I hate lagging and this rom gives excellent performance.
Is this only for miui? Not stock?
I got force close when try upload a video to Youtube from gallery

oodie rom rocks even if the last one have some bugs .-) theme doesnt apply and when you go in setting display to do the brightness fix it gets stuck and than continues repeating the bootlogo.

Baseband version: 2.1.7.1
Kernel version: 2.6.29-00054-g5f01537 [email protected]#1

will it work on my device ?

My "normal" use includes, but is not limited to:
1. 30 minute listening to music every day (to and from work)
2. whatever calls I get (usually around 2-3 per day), I try not to call from my mobile.
3. No internet/bluetooth/3g/WiFi/Tampering with the device longer than 10 minutes per day unless urgently needed!
4. 4 daily alarms
5. No Viber, but full widgets on 4 pages, and always memory resident: Battery Mix, ADW Launcher, Android Assistant, Autokiller Memory Optimizer, Prey, Vibration Notifier, Where's my droid. Of course some apps are killing some others, but usually that's my list. My phone is usually not battery abused, but sometimes it gets more than abused (especially when I use the GPS)!!
I was using Cyanogen MOD ZMOD 003 and have switched to VMOD 5.1 (no 6.0 yet!), no overclocking, smartass v2, brightness to 0 and my battery is a 2600 MAh from e-bay.
Oh, and I call your BS BS!!! And if you want more proof, just tell me what you need to believe it.

OR never EVER had your phone's signal GMS drop below 2 bars for longer than 5 hours while trying to get news off the internet using the built in stock browser and 3G.
Even with current "hyper active, ultra slim or slick roms" this can still be a issue.
BUT i can assure you using the wi-fi in a good hot spot works very well.

I tried to side load the ota and it errors at package.zip. copied it over to twrp and when I try to flash it it says it's meant for a flounder while I have a volantis device. I unlocked the boot loader, used CFroot, and flashed twrp after using the factory images for the previous release.

I'm going to assume you haven't investigated what is causing your wakelocks. because that is abnormal drain time for any device. you are on lollipop, running old KitKat and donut software most likely . there are a number of free LP compatible wake lock analyzing options out there. solve your problems (in turn, help others with same issue), or consider going back to a pager.

Yeah I'm aware of such software and using it on my 1+1. However I wanted to at least try to use my Nexus 9 as "normal user" would do for the first time. Browsing still drains ridiculous amount of battery however I confirm that it is now much better on R build. And heating is much less.

I got tired of waiting for Google to issue a working OTA for those of us stuck on LRX21L so I flashed the LRX21R factory image. I'm very happy with it and am glad I took plunge. Noticeable improvements on smoothness. Device still gets hots at times but its improved IMO.
FYI.. I tried following googles instruction for flashing the image. It didn't work.. It crapped out on the SYSTEM.IMG.
Manually flashing each of the IMG files went fine though and all is now working great.
Lastly,
I'd like to point out the the device restore feature worked much better than I had hoped. It even managed to keep app data settings on a couple of apps (that don't have sign in accounts).
