Pastorbenets rom gps issue - Continuum General

I can't comment in development so hopefully someone can help me here. I installed the rom linked in pastorbenets thread and now my gps doesn't work properly. Any ideas?

Push the gps conf file in the dev database stickied. There is a tut that ciscogee made that tells you how.

Also, under Settings>Location & security... make sure you have VZW and Google location services checked.

If you read through the thread, you will find there is an EC05 version that has been posted by k0nane (not in the OP though).
It is only an apk though, so you will either need to create your own flashable zip, or use adb or root explorer to replace your existing one
That didn't work for me and many others even though some got it to work

If you are still odexed, you have to delete the old apk and old odex

I have tried a half a doesn't ways to fix this call log problem and all have failed (thru my stupidity of course) - since I am Odexed and not one post said that you must delete the .odex file after you copy over the new .apk file in the system/app directory - even if you flashed it with a new .zip files that are out there, it does not delete the .odex if it still there.
That will stop the fix from working. I guess it was assumed that you would delte the .odex file also.
I went through a little trouble myself and that's just what I figured out that made it work. Clear text from old call log(optional). Delete the old apk and odex, copy the new one, reboot. Worked for me. Used the apk k0nane posted in the themes/apps section near the end of the thread, the one for ec05.

yup, that did it for me - if I hadn't been persistant and found your post, I was about to give up and live with it - but it now works as it should! thanks again!
this call log problems seems so stupid i can only come to the conclusion that samsung did it on purpose to annoy us. maybe samsung john did it
Got it now, thanks chris41g

Has that been modified for your phone already??

Yep, just needs compiled
That's not enough source.. that only has a few .mk files and the ui.c
I assume you want me to pull cyanogenmod source then overwrite with your modded files and compile...

Over in the sidekick forums we have received some help and have a good start. Very close to having a fully working recovery. If you wanna swing by there and check on the progress, or provide help that's great.
As for right now, I am going to consider this thread closed.
Thanks for all the help and responses.

Yea, that was my thread I believe. The server I had them on mysteriously lost all my files. I will ask someone to post the files. I know Pete has some posted but it was brought to my attention that he changed some things so they are not technically stock.

That is the one to use for sure Love it!
Why is that thread only posted in the GSM section? You should split them, or copy and paste it in the 4G side too.

I've just been lazy, and I originally started that thread before xda split the Dev section.
I'll start a thread in the NS4G section soon.

[Q] Can't install apps?

I just recently restored my phone to stock and then rooted it again, after that I installed PA 3.5 (MAY 12)
Now I am trying to install several apps that I have on my SD card, I get to the screen where it prompts me to install them, but I absolutely cannot press the install button. I did check the installation from unknown sources on. Has anyone else had this issue? I tried factory resetting the phone but it didn't help, I know its a common issue as I used to have it on my sii but it would get fixed by just reflashing the rom. In this case nothing seems to help.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
It could be an issue with the new feature halo in the new PA builds. Try disabling it then installing the app.
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
Try copy the apk (s) to another folder & try again

The solution was already posted above yours in case you didn't notice. Read the thread before you post please.

I'm pretty sure the OP was looking for suggestions. Sometimes the littlest things will make difference. And before you go off on me, the post above his says "it could be" and "try" this. The OP never came back and stated this resolved his issue.
