Mobile network not available error!
I use original rom, i did not change anything on the phone...
For last 2 days, after i turn on phone, it says emergancy calls only and i cant receive or send any messages or calls...
How can i solve this problem?
(My sim operator is Vodafone and i am from Turkey.)
I had this problem with the official rom Beta2, and I installed a miui rom and I got rid of that elhamdulillah...
But miui rom did not create any other problems?
My Vodafone sim card works on another phones when i put into them and another sim cards work on my phone; but my Vodafone sim card dont work with myHuawei u8800 no more ! This started 2 days ago.
Vodafone cant explain that, they told me to change sim card.
I can see my imei number, my phone number, signal (-76 dbm) but it can connect to network.
"Selected netwrodk (VOdafone TR 'G) unavailable"
gives that error.
Please help..
I had the same problem. You just need to go to settings>wireless and networks>Mobile networks(the last one) and then network operator(the last one).
Wait for a while and then everything should go.
AFter that i choose Vodafone 2g but it says unable to connect
That's very weird. Did you have an error when you tried to get infos on the phone?
I mean on setting>Infone>status
I used to get an error on com.android.phone
I can see imei, my phone number, signal but - 78 dbm. But network unavailable and roaming out of service.
my sim card works on other phones ajnd other sim cards work on my u8800. That is so weird .S

Don't need to play with those codes straightaway. Go to Settings- Wireless and Networks- Mobile Networks- Network mode, and set Auto or Gsm mode.
Do a Soft Reset and do this.

no i test with 4 sim card
Did the phone work when purchased .
Did it only stop working when you change sim card .
If so that points to one of three problems .
One faulty sim card try another sim card .Test sim card in another phone .
Two the phone has no mobile details entered for the network enter manual APN settings .You enter all the network settings in Settings- Wireless and Networks- Mobile Networks APN settings etc .Network operator etc .
If the phone does not work then its faulty return to seller/service centre .
Though might be worth cleaning the sim card slot first .
You can also try a factory reset ( wipes all data ) .

I have the Desire Z with the following info :
Android 2.2
firmware 1.83.415.2
Baseband 12.28e.60.140fu_26.04.02.17_M2
My problem goes like this, if I turn mobile internet off and then turn it on again it doesn't work it shows H icon and then disappears and then shows failed in the settings. To have it work, I have to turn off the mobile, remove the sim card, insert the sim card again and start the phone.
Any idea ?

I would start by getting a new simcard from your carrier, hopefully they'll replace it for free

So I had an issue with the mobile data and fixed it.
Now I have the following problem:
When i'm trying to do a short dial with a "*" before the number (For Instance *131) , I'm getting this message :"Connection problem or invalid MMi code". Is there a way to fix/bypass it?

(My phone is a sprint Samsung s4, unlocked, stock rom, with a mobile data available using international (local) sim card abroad)

When using my Amaysim branded sim card on stock OS on my L3 it will show up correctly as Amaysim as my carrier.
but when I use a custom rom, any custom rom I've tried it will show up as Yes Optus which is the reseller/owner of the physical cellular network.
For some reason even though it doesn't show as Amaysim I can still send receive phone calls and text, but I can't add APN settings as it will not save and they're are no Default apn settings either.
This same sim card will work with proper settings and carrier on the same phone in Stock Os. This same phone data will work with custom roms if I use a different sim such as a Telstra one. Apns can be changed and there are defaults when I use the telstra sim card.
very unusual problem on this phone.

Hello guys, I have a problem. Last week my phone was giving a sim error (sim card is not detected or sim card removed.) I bought the same sim but now I can't use sim and ril. If I call somebody, it says mobile network not available. Imei is okey, I can see him but I can't use data. My operator is Vodafone TR. I didn't face to problem about imei (it isn't clone imei) I tried to libsec-ril.so, modems, another roms but it isn't working now. I tried *#*#4636#*#* but it didn't work. If I install stock rom or stock based custom roms, sim and data work. And I want to say something about apns. When I look apn, sometimes hidden. I created new apn and save, it wouldn't save. Please help me (sorry for my English)
