@walie-duski
Have you seen this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1417849
I guess after downgrading your bootloader, you can use DFT custom ROM. What I'm not sure about is whether it is valid for branded phones like mine or not. Anyway you may use any of the custom ROMS found here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427904

I'm thinking of upgrading my Rom as it's unlikely o2 Ireland will do it any time soon. I have 1.43.206.4 WWE on my phone. I was thinking of sticking with the official HTC rom's ....could someone advise me as to which version should I install...most stable etc.
I really appreciate any help. I was going to install it using SSPL_RUU...would this be the best way?
Cheers
Tony
I would advise to run http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784
HSPL would be a better option in my humble opinion, that way u wont need to SSPL each time if u wanna swap ROMs and/or update versions.
U can always revert back to stock without voiding ur warranty by flashing stock ROM from SD card if needed
Hello folks,
I just have a simple question which I can't answer myself and I couldn't find an answer in short time here either.
My Touch HD is restarting all the time and I intend to send it back to my provider (o2 Germany). Now I tried to restore the ROM to stock.
The Bootloader shows the following:
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.54.0000
MicroP-Blackstone (LED) v6
When I got this phone I had a 1.14 ROM installed, but O2 Germany provides a 1.57.xxx ROM on their homepage. I believe that this new ROM bases on the 1.54.000 SPL Bootloader.
So my question is: Does this information lead to the fact that I used custom ROMs or could this be manufacturer default?
Greetings and thanks in advance,
Benjamin
Have you thought about the possability of before sending the device back to the store, flashing a stock ROM? I am sorry about your specific question, I dont have that detailed know-how your looking for, but here is the link to the HTC Support page with the lates EU stock ROM.
I hope that someone else can answer your Q or that flashing a stock rom could be a work-around for you.
hi, one question, recently aquired an Htc Legend from Spain and unlocked it because i use a Orange service, and after so many rom`s on this forum, i just prefer ro root it to the official one the one with, posibility for an oficial froyo update, the unbranded untampered out of the htc factory with htc sense, any ideea witch one that might be, i know i`m a newbie at this but i cant seem ti locate it alone using serch
Sorry but what is it that you're asking?
He's asking for the latest official HTC ROM that's unbranded and untampered, as he can't find it through the search function.
is it this?

This is nearly stock, but rooted and unbranded ROM. Not sure if this one gets FOTA though.
seee, this is what i`m talking about isn`t there a clean rom for the legend the one that works 100% as it should not, the rom that comes with the legend that you buy from htc not a service operator, the more i read on each rom people say that this one is for faster web, upgradable but no sense, works perfect but no gps suport, these are the trates of a custom one,
I really apreciate the effort but that isn`t the one i`m looking for, saw that one thow.
If i root my phone will it affect the posibility of an update to Froyo OTA?
Ah, so you want the latest official ROM without rooting?
Well, if you're currently on a firmware lower than 2.03 then go grab the RUU for that ROM on shipped ROMs
Thank-you finally some enlightment
hi,
do you have any suggestions how to get rid of Vodafone welcome screen when booting my desire Z?
This is my first android, so I'm totally not sure, with WM 6.5, it was easy, getting hold of new stock HTC rom or cooked rom like energy, flashing it on the phone and job done.
Is there any place where I can get hold of stock HTC sense rom for desire Z?
like shipped-roms.com/shipped/Vision
I'm bit concerned, because it says T-Mobile US...
any help and suggestions are appreciated.
thanks
There are splash screen images in the zip files for the ROMs, so I presume that you can replace them easily. I don't know the correct procedure, but if you flash as complete ROM then I imagine that'll do the job.
Talking of complete ROMs, the standard European ROM is on this forum, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=822908 . That's an RUU, but you can run it and then extract the zip file and flash that directly if you want.
However, you need to be careful about ROM versions if you have S-OFF. If you don't have S-OFF, then it won't let you flash an earlier ROM normally, so you need to follow the "debranding" guide (not very well-named IMHO) to flash an earlier ROM. If you do have S-OFF then you must follow the debranding guide, because if you try to flash an earlier ROM from HBOOT and have S-OFF you will probably brick your phone.
If you're flashing a later ROM version then everything should be fine.
I've managed to flash the ROM from the link you provided on my Z using the gold card method.
wonderful. so much better without the Vodafone logo. Thanks a lot.
I'm brand new to this, but i want to unlock my windows phone so i can put custom apps and themes and so on on it. I'm currently running the latest update and running the mango build, i was wondering, how do i unlock my phone, i've been searching and searching and i think i may have to downgrade my phone, i'd like help with this however incase i do anything wrong or if i use the wrong programmes to do this. Help would be appreciated.
You have to flash this thing called HSPL to your Trophy. The instructions are all here!
The HSPL allows custom roms on your device, but it doesn't unlock it. After you flash HSPL, you then have to install a custom rom that comes with an unlock (most roms do). Good luck!
