I got my nexus s 4g with the same intention I've had with all my androids..root,flash custom rom, custom kernel, n have perfection on my phone. Well how surprised do u think i was when i got the phone n fell in love with the stock rom. Holy crap is the stock rom basically flawless...lol

Same here bro, same here!
Same, I don't see too much to complain about on stock. It's light, responsive and fairly stable. I'll root it eventually of course though. I'm sure there are too many under-the-hood options that I'll be dying without before long
My only complaint seems to be random data drop outs. Is that a known issue or wtf is going on lol

Same thing for me. Have had the phone since a few days after release and no real urge to root or do anything else.

Nexus s 4g is plagued with all sorts of data issues. Its what the alleged ota is suppose to fix. As far as the stock rom, I almost always run stock with a matrix kernel. I like bln amd voodoo color.

I totally agree with you guys, stock is rock solid on this phone. But voodoo sound and color really add to the hardware aspect of the Nexus S.

Yes but OEM unlock wipes your phone. That's why I did it not long after I got my phone even though I kept it stock for a while.

I fixed that for you a while back
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103126
That's if you flash a stock deodex rom for the ns or ns4g just flash that on top and you'll have the toggles in place

No theme engine yet, as of now it is identical to my Droid builds but I am thinking of adding the theme engine for final release.

Yep, fastest ROM I've tried, but one little thing, can you please bring back the Castor notification? I'm very used to it.
Thanks for all you hard work, get wll.
P.D. Also if it posible, the topbar power controls.
Nice ROM loving it, super fast, app trey zoom really fast like that.......one little issue i see is that the my facebook contacts picture doesnt appear in the stock SMS app it comes up everywhere else but just not in the SMS app.
Just flashed. This is my kind of rom, super fast. I am going to try running at 800mhz tomorrow (suggested by Pete) and check the battery life. So far so good.

Been running this for a week or so and its been my daily driver. Tested a few others in that week and always came back to this. Very smooth at 800 but I use 1200 mostly just because I can and battery life is very good. Thanx for your efforts Pete!

I dunno about other people here, but I'm loving the ICS animations that are built into it. I've seen other phones get them working for cm7, and Joelz even has them on Prime XL 3D, but I was wondering if anybody that knows how to do that can possibly make them for our cm7? Preferably for Nightly #258, the last one that's been up for quite a while now
I can post a framework-res.apk that I've been running on 258 with the transition animations

That would be awesome, thank you
Here you go.
All you have to do is go into recovery, mounts and storage->mount system
Then on your computer:
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
Reboot your phone, and your animations should now work.
Edit: make sure your do adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk ./ so that you have a copy of your old one in case it doesn't work. I think that's the right one though.
I vote to have this for miui

Hi guys
Someone shared a copy of the Moto RAZR launcher.
I installed it, looks awesome but needs a bit of tweaking.
Not sure if one can modify it to work 100% with the Atrix, but it basically gives you the original Motorola ICS feel?
Link plz

I really wonder what take them so long to bring ICS to any of their device since they don't even theme it that much. All the icons are stock ICS !

Yes..u must flash another kernel to make this rom boot..AOSP or CM Kernel will work
any mirror?
is too slow!!!
Played around with it for a bit last night. Really like changing status bar icon color without using a theme, and changing ui modes without reboot.

any word on getting a ns4g port? I gave it a quick shot the other night and I couldn't get it to boot. It was prior to the posts regarding flashing a new kernel, however. But since I'm already stretched thin working on 3 other roms I wouldn't mind passing this on to another dev
