Just to let everyone know all Gameloft Games for the Xperia Play are £1 for 24 hours!!!! Get em while their cheap.

Could i buy them now and wait until i get my xperia play and then put them on it?

My handset isn't loading the 'nopuk.netsizeonline.com' site which enables you to download the relevant files.

Getting exactly the same problem.

Worked for me used wifi to download and standard browser, paid with paypal and downloaded from there.
it was on yesterday by the way as well, figured id buy all the games except bloody UNO while they were cheap

It was working earlier this morning as I bought Spiderman & Star Battalion, Can't access the site now though
GameLoft are producing the best games so far, where is Sony

Busy changing their credit card details

For the past few hours the site hasn't worked. I managed to start to download the APK for a game before I was having problems, however it failed.
I can now access the site again, but all games are showing as £3. What's going on? I assume the offer has finished, but I wasn't able to take advantage of it because the website wasn't working... :-(

Also worked fine for me, have an account, so just a simple login and one click buy :-D Got three games...

Their Support is disgraceful, I have been emailing them daily for the past 2 weeks with zero replies.
I had bought 3 games before I flashed my phone, then lost them & have been emailing support for fresh download links but they are ignoring me. For anyone else with same problem, I figured out a workaround - the initial small file that you download got saved to my SD card under the download folder of my Dolphin browser. I just installed from there & it let me download the 200Mb portion & all is working again.

I bough 9 Games while there £1 haha, i cant get modern combat 2 to work though, it launches the first time to download the data but then force closes, i mite try deleting it and installing again

Lol, I bought splinter cell yesterday.... wondered why it was only £1

Rom integrated ad blocking...

Im running chris41g(?)s modded stock, and I was wondering if there was a way that I could integrate the awesome adblocking of the big roms myself... messing with i GUESS putting together my own rom, and this is the one thing of all I am missing the most. I guess I am getting old, just want a simple rom theme-wise, but love the tweaks... anyone wanna help? Trade secret? If its something relatively simple like using 7zip and changing a value, or something to adb push, I can do it... just dont know what method you use, and would love to be able to just do it myself. Gonna hit up chris to throw it in his rom, but id like to do it myself too... any help would be appreciated!

You could include adfree app in the system/app location of the ROM. OR, you can use K0nane's method (which I am even unsure how it works.) ha

I just put the hosts file from Adfree Android in /system/etc/.

How would I go about that? sorry... should I just drag and drop this hosts file in /system... ? And how do I get the hosts file? Install the app and pull the file off the SD?

Ive been all about the gears of war 3 beta atm,I just wish I could play like I want to,its down to about 4 hours on the weekend,and about 3 total during the work week. I even had to buy a used 360,my original one got the red ring,but it was an original 360 day one launch unit,so it sucked; Wish I could afford an elite,ohwell.

Im surprised a launch 360 made it that long.. that was one tough xbox. Yeah i have an OG 60 gig (now 320 7200rpm) PS3, from right after the blu drives got fixed... people say I should expect the ylod soon, but Im insane about my gear, most of it is in a server rack. I really need to get back into fallout vegas though, if they made a fallout mmorpg that played like the real game, I would never leave the house.
Anyways, thanks for the time on the adblocking... will try soon...

I put a zip to include adblocking in the op of my rom... its better than adfee because it doesn't block words with friends lol

sorry to be so dumb but can someone please give step by step instructions of how to block ads in games? I am using Ad Free and it does not work on any game I have installed.

did you open ad free so it can request super user permissions and download the latest host file? Usually have to reboot once afterwards. Works fine for me.

yes... and that still does not work. i found this CWM flashable file called EC05 AdBlock which does work. I cant remember from whom i got this file on XDA due to being drunk. if someone could please let me know to whom i should give proper credit it would be much appreciated.

though it is kinda annoying seeing the .. error loading page errors...
itd be pretty cool if someone would compile a real trimmed down apache or other webserver that only serves up a blank image when being accessed, have it only listen on localhost, and point everything back to localhost (i guess thats done already), to get blank spots, instead of 'error loading'

Asphalt wont open? Gamesave?

I can't get asphalt to open on my xperia play. This is the second Gameloft game that wont open for me. BAckstab wouldn't open but I didn't really mind I would fix it later but now Asphalt 6 wont open. Is it possible I could backup the gamesave so when I reset the phone I can continue where I left off. I am really far into the game.

I have rooted and I can see data/data and I did find the asphalt section but from there on wht do I save?

Your root method, did it clear the data partition? I've seen many threads that warn of loss of data when rooting.

Scratch that. They are on your SD card! in SD:\gameloft\games\ OR SD:\games\com.gameloft.android.GAND.GloftAsp6.asphalt6
So pretty much back up your entire SD card before you reset your phone and you'll be good

nova 3 wont install?

ok weird problem with nova 3 .apk everytime i try to install nova 3 it says insufficient space available but other .apks are installing fine like modern c3?

Do you have the space for it?
If so and you have tried multiple installs try using astro file manager the go into android folder/data/I think it says gameloft.data.Na3 or something like that delete the folder uninstall the app try to reinstall if that won't work you may need to factory rest wipe all internal data or contact gameloft.

bit of vital info i let out there lol yeah i have 22gb free internal and 4gb free ext'
i found other people having the problem cleared they're dalvik cache and success...i did crap a little when it came up "optimizing apps" lol my a500 is my only "actual" ics device all the others are modded to appear ics
but yeah clearing the dalvik allowed me to install without fuss, but the game just black screens and says checking license, then loops and loops and loops......dunno im happy with sas 3

My galaxy note and a500 had this problem I actually had to go into the APK itself and hack it to correct compatibility issues.. but I can't teach that here nor will I condone it for the others and there obvious purposes but on my brothers Asus you can do what I said factory rest of course back up your loved apps ditch the others make sure you uncheck nova 3 don't save anything it should work after a FULL DATA WIPE

yea i tried the same with a "no compatibilities" version of the .apk but still the same?

Like I said you might need to do a back up of your apps but not anything nova 3 related then factory reset and full data wipe this should do it or wait for game loft to update but they might not do that they don't like the Android system as much as ios

That's fine most people here feel the same way but unfortunately iPhone has better app support not on everything but definitely iOS .. I'm sure they will change their views but when not a clue maybe when google really decides to make android a Motorola base exclusively used OS...

its like xbox and ps3 ps3 is way better than xbox like in our case android is ps3 i-Sh*t is xbox..in starting every developer made games just for xbox but now ps3 has more games

Ok,the obb is for unofical apps thath are not from google play, simply download the 1800 mb via phone ,wifi!

Remember if you swapped memory
I have the swap memory script running on my tab so when it asked me where to store it I had to say internal sd ( which is mapped to my external )
Remember this if you have your memory swapped.

Yup, when I went back to stock, I just pointed it to the right place, it had my save games and all on the SD card.

Thanks for the tip on 50% off Bard's Tale...I think. :laugh: Was one of my favs in the early days of Amiga. Wow, downloading the assets is ridiculous, either 1.8gb or 3.5gb. First, I tried downloading the HD assets and the d/l bombed, tried again but it seems like it was stuck on 4% forever. Am now in the process of downloading the SD assets and it seems to be going faster. Obviously, I wanted to play with HD but just don't have the patience for the download.
Hopefully, the game is worth it, because the asset d/l time clearly negates the 15 minutes you have to get an easy refund.

Has anyone tried the HD version on the p3110, does it work smoothly?
I have downloaded it from the German Play Store. However, I would prefer an all English version, i.e. including menu and subtitles. Is there a way to accomplish this, e.g. in some config file or through an alternative download? Thanks!

Isnt there anything in game regarding language???
Check setting menu and try all option if you do not know German!!!

I am German, but i still prefer the English version. For the sound there is an option to switch between German and English but not for menu and subtitles.

Okay, I've tried it myself and it seems to be working just fine. I guess it's rather a question if one has enough space available. I really love this game!
