For some reason over the past couple of weeks the in call volume has gotten lower. When turned all the way up it sounds like it is at half volume. This happens on both inbound and outbound calls. This is a stock D720. Any ideas?

Hi, for the second time now I've had this problem where my ring volume somehow adjusts itself so I can barely hear it.
A little over a month ago, I hard reset the phone, loaded apps like MS Voice Command, and Battery Pack Pro. My phone was fine for about 3 weeks, then all of a sudden my ring volume just got really low.l
I hard reset again 2 weeks ago, and loaded my usual apps. Everything was fine again, now my phone just rang and the ring volume was low again!!!!!!
Is it Voice Command that's doing this? I have my phone volume set to max but I can't change the volume back. Is there a regedit for this?
I'm having the same issue with my phone now. Ring volume is extremely low. I can never hear it when its in my pocket. Yes i do have the "system" volume at max, the "phone" volume is maxed out too.
All was going fine till yesterday when I was calling my mom and talking with her the volume of the speaker of my K-JAM suddenly drops down. I increased the volume during the call but no improvement, I was hardly hearing her so I used the hands free for the later call. After that I hard reset the K-JAM and tried a test call but still same. Now some people are also complaining about noise during the call.
Any suggestions or work around ?
That's not about cracking sounds... Actually I think there's another thread regarding this behavior (maybe with 1.43), but I can't find it.
Anyways, when I received an incoming call (and using the earpiece) and the volume is already set to its maximum I noticed that the actual volume is weaker than what it supposed to be. so I started to play with the volume rocker down and back up to maximum set - and suddenly, I could hear my client louder and clearer.
I haven't tried it with outgoing calls, but it is the situation each time I receive an incoming call. I have to play with the rocker in order to get the right volume intensity.
Have you noticed that as well?...
Am I the only one?! is my device faulty?!
I still have the problem of when i make or receive a call the volume is so so loud even at the min setting.
But today when i was on the phone with my ear drums nearly bleeding....i had another call beeping through (call waiting) and noticed that straight away the volume of the call that i was on decreased to a sensibly level!!
Once i finished the call, i thought it may have been a one off so i dialled another number and then got someone to phone me while i was on the call and yet again the volume somehow dropped to a sensibly level.
Any ideas guys?
If only i could always have the volume like this, this handset would be perfect.
This also happens if your on the phone and get an SMS, HTC have admitted the volume problem is a "known issue" but there is so far no results of them having fixed it.

Incall volume has always been a problem on this device and I think there is another thread related to this issue. It has been noticed that when you are on a call, the volume, evn though on the lowest level is usually way too loud and uncomfortable for the ears.
This might help you as it works for me: while on a call, I increase the volume to max and turn it back down to lowest level. you will straightaway notice that the volume has reduced cosiderably. This has been my "short term" solution until the issue is resolved. Hope that helps.
I have SIP calls (VoWiFI) enabled on my OP5 running rooted OOS. After a while (some seconds up to one minute so far) there is a loud, almost deafening sort of buzzing sound, drowning out every sound from the call peer. After it started, it doesn't seem to vanish, at least not for the next 30 seconds or so.
I have call recording set up on my PC, it's been working fine there for over a year now.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
The issue seems to be related to the phone speaker
I have this same problem, and it is temporarily solved by changing the sound output to the speaker, and then returning again to the phone speaker, but usually the buzzing returns.
