Hi, can someone please help with this?
I flashed tezets cyanogenmod which booted fine then the mod for tezet rom by endless 7 which made the phone get stuck in a bootloop, so then I flashed the uk sbf but still ends up in a bootloop and when x+power button is pressed and the logo with exclamation mark comes up, pressing the @ key wont do anything such as go to recovery to wipe cache or data.
So I cant really think of anything else to do :/
In exclamation, try to press both vol + and - instead @
In Froyo it is the @
In GB it is the Vol + and - at the same time.
Btw way, i saw somewhere that u will need the 70.13 bootloader for GB and everywhere is written, that u need to flash GB after u was once at GB but i don't know exactly if this is also with modded rom that way. So would try to flash 2.3.4 UK SBF and than wipe out trough recovery by pressing voll + and - than go to wipe out and confirm with power button as "ok".
tell us if it worked.
The rom was 2.3.4 UK and now works because of factory reset and wipe data, got into recovery fine with the volume keys, thanks heaps guys

after RSD Lite, my phone stuck at Motorola logo with blur
tried pull off and pulling on the batery with power and volume up, it got back to bootloader screen
try aother RSD Power, it is still the same
Progress till 100 persen, but the phone stucked at motorola blur logo
any solution, guys?
thanks
What were you trying to flash?
I try to upgrade to froyo.
it stuck after RSD Lite step
Well first, is your phone rooted? Secondly, what stock version did you have?
I think I can get you up and running with Froyo
you may try to install your original version/build number sbf. if its work, maybe you can try flash froyo ROM again. then when you finished restore custom ROM all you have to do is go to bootloader then flash boot/devtree only sbf.. dont pull usb connection. but if RSD want you to turn phone manually then you need to press power button even though your phone at booting state..
i got the same problem, everything was working fine before i done it a couple times but then i used miui and my phone battery died and it wouldnt work after that so i decided to flash with rsd lite and after doing everything normally its just stuck at the motorola and moto blur symbol/animation thing. really frustrating.

did you find fix?
What SBF file did you use?
Have you tried another file?
get into stock recover (Vol Up + Power) then wipe data/cache
Half Bricked
I have an Mb525 rooted (that was) running stock 2.2 Blurred. I installed the Defy boot loader and hard reset/wiped partitions and (tried to) install cm7 from SD, it installs fine, goes fine, everything is all set. Reboot the device and the splash image pops up with the white LED first, then the blue one for boot loader, and finally the green one. It stays on splash screen. I tried 2 different versions of cm7 and both do the same thing. I'm able to access the boot loader, it just doesn't finish loading whatever I flash onto it.
As my phone is dysfunctional, I would appreciate it if you could contact me through my Skype;

Solution
I had this problem. Found a solution at 4pda.ru
1. Shut down your phone.
2. Hold Volume- button, press Power button for 2 seconds. Then release both.
3. When you see Android robot press together both Volume+ and Volume- buttons.
4. Erase both Cache and Data.
5. Reboot.
Your phone should boot normally.

Hello guys, first, sorry for my bad english.
I'm having some problems with my defy, I was using the CM7 for months but now it start to stuck on Motorola's logo and when I tried to access the stock recovery, by pressing Power + volume down, anything happened, I only can access the bootloader by pressing Power + volume up.
So I tried to flash a old SBF that I have here, but, when the device will start again, it stuck on Motorola's logo again.
Then I downloaded a SBF that seems to be the "original of my phone version" and flashed it, but the device stills stucking at the Motorola's logo.
I think that I need to wipe data/cache, but how?!?
Any advices??
I need my phoneee!!

Sorry, I don`t understand
He is saying you should start over and flash the Nordic SBF again.
But it would be helpful to know which SBF's you've tried which didn't work. What RSD lite version you are using? I'm using RSD Lite 5.3.1 and the 5.1.0 motorola driver and never had issues.
Don't forget to "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache" in Stock Recovery (power + vol down) before flashing.
Also, what did you do before CM7 stopped working. It doesn't break for no reason.

To enter stock recovery: Power up phone and press the vol down button. When you see the android icon push volume up and down at the same time.

Sorry, missed that part.
Well ... I don't recall reading about such behaviour before - unless the battery is dead.
But then you wouldn't be able to get the bootloader either.
I would try again to get into recovery and make sure you press the power + vol up buttons for a few seconds before releasing.
And out of curiosity: what exactly did you do when CM7 stopped working. It doesn't break for no reason.

I got a similar situation as our friend here. Today I had shutdown my Defy (rooted + stock 2.2.1) when i tried to turn It on again It got stuck at the operator logo forever!
I did the clear data from recovery and I got my cellphone back to live. Thanks!
Im Stuck too...
I have a problem with my Defy MB525, This morning I woke up and found the cell with the Android Logo with Exclamation, it was really hot so I turn off pulling the battery.
Then I tried to power ON but still stuck on Motorola's logo, in trying to enter the recovery (Pressing vol+ and Power but nothing, same pressing vol-).
the strangest of all is that my Defy don't display the white led, so it's not charging?
As far as I was to the symbol of android with red exclamation, I tried pressing the volume buttons but none served.
I was looking in other threads but nothing helps me, can you help me please? thanks.
I messed up the defy pretty bad, then I mcgyver'd the battery. That allowed me to flash a new sbf. the sbf got it booting, but it gets caught in a bootloop.
So i realize i should probably do a full wipe, well I try and go to the stock recovery and it just stays at the triangle and the android. I press volume + and - but to no avail.
If i can't get into the recovery menu how do I reset. or can someone tell me how to get into the menu -.-
Thanks haha
Try to press the soft buttons. I'm a defy+ owner, but I think that's how to access the recovery on some froyo builds.
hello friends.....i had got defy plus flashed before also.....currently i was running on android 2.3.6 [default was 2.3.4]....wanted to upgrade it to CM 10.....but the super one click was not working this time.....so i tried to flash sbf file of version 2.3.4 to restore it to default through rsd lite....but now my phone is not even starting.....however in rsd lite software it is showing passed & reboots but once display is gone it is not even restarting nor showing any response from power + vol keys....it is totaly out.....is it possible to bring it back .......please help guys......

try rebooting in stock recovery (UpVol + Power), when the warning sign shows up, press both vol keys (up + down) at the same time, wipe data / cache, reboot again. It should boot now.
Help me, please!
Yesterday, I wanted to make a clean install for the latest Quarx's CM 10.1 nightly (I've been flashing Quarx's builds for almost a year now, he's The Best), but I think I made a terrible mistake.
When I wanted to make a factory reset, I've got this error because the sd-ext, I understand, that happened because TWRP's structure with almost all devices running Android 4.2.2 have a virtual-sd and a sd-ext, so I decided to make an Advance wipe and I every damn box, even wipe system and wipe sd card.
Finally when I rebooted my phone, TWRP asked to install SU, I pressed yes.
Then when my phone was rebooting, I've got this error:
Bootloader
09.10
Err:A5,70,39,00,27
So, I've been flashing Froyo's .sbfs since yesterday, when I get pass verification from RSDLite and rebooted the phone, it just keep bootlooping, I left it almost 15 minutes and still in Froyo's bootanimation, I know it has to do because it's needed wipe data and cahe, but I can't do that because I can't access stock recovery (volume down+power button), I just get the triangle with the little Android in it.
Here's is the .sbf

And I did it with RSDLite 5.6.
Hope you can help me, thanks anyway.

I am new to the Defy, but managed to root and move to CM7 and all seems good. I just wondered if there is a version of bootmenu that uses touch screen rather than volume and power buttons? I thought one of the ICS ROMS had a touch screen recovery, but maybe I am thinking of HTC.
Thanks.

Latest CM10 and CM10.1 have a touch bootmenu, even the latest CM 10.1 has TWRP 2.5 that it's a touch custom recovery.

Thanks for your reply.
I prefer CWM to TWRP, but is there a way to get the more advanced bootmenu 2 and keep CWM? Sndinitdefy seems to only have the recovery using the volume controls and power button.
Thanks.

I think Quarx merged that bootmenu when he started to make his 2ndboot nightlies for CM10, but I don't know how to install it separately from his .zip files, you should download some of the latest ROMs a see if you could merge the bootmenu to CM7.
where are you download this Froyo's .sbfs?

can you gave me a download adress? i am a chinese and have poor english level ,can you tell me the way you fix your phone step by step? think you !
This thread should help (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216982), in there you'll be able to find everything you need to fix your phone.
First download RSDLite, then search for a sbf suitable for your country.
Then flash it, you need to have Motorola drivers installed and plug the phone on bootloader mode (press volume up+power button), you have to paste the sbf file you extracted in the RSDLite folder, then just execute it and browse the sbf file, finally press flash and wait.
When you read "please start your phone manually" or something like that, disconnect your phone, remove the battery for five seconds then start it on bootloader mode and plug it.
Your phone should boot to Android.
If you get stuck on bootanimation, wipe data and cache from stock recovery (volume down+power button, when you see the triangle press volume volume up+volume down).
Your phone is ready to go now.

It's not the country your Defy proceeds, you need to know the country for your carrier's signal.
