It just means if your phone is sim locked ie can only use sim from a specific network make sure you flash the Rom for that network

Hiya guys well to the point I have a hd2 in my possession and I think the usb port is broke some how so i can't install anything that requires a pc.... I was informed I might b able 2 install a custum windows rom is this possible and any suggestions for possible roms any help appreciated
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
Yes you can flash custom ROMs via SD card but you still have to have HSPL flashed to your HD2 to be able to flash a custom ROM via SD card. Unfortunately you can only flash HSPL via USB and not SD card, so you can only flash stock ROMs on your HD2 unless you get the USB fixed. Sorry friend.
Thank you very much for the help at least I know now and I'm not gonna be wasting anymore time looking for solutions tink an unsolvable problem lol thanks again

You haven't said whether its a regular hd2 or a tmous. (Tmous has red and green end and send, regular all white)
If it's a regular, then a goldcard will let you use any stock rom, opening the options a little, if its a tmous, then goldcard is of no benefit and you can disregard this post.
Its a regular hd2 mate plain white buttons ....is there anything u can recommend as in basically I realise I'm never gonna have android inbed here but is any modded or custom rom possible I'm not gettin my hopes up tho

Not cooked roms but with a goldcard you can flash any stock rom meaning non branded (if the phone is branded) plus there are tons of tweaks and mods for winmo, go look up cookies home tab, you wont regret it! and as for android you can run it from SD card, no hspl required, , a very popular way.
Thanks for the tip gonna go look it up now

If you have the time and patience to tweak it you can get an android build running from SD almost as smoothly as a nand build, keep WM and have the best of both.

That's nice of you but you don't have to offer anything on return. There's plenty of us that will help you out with no needed incentives.
But to answer your question, can you still get into your bootloader? Take battery off and put it back in. Then hold down Volume Down+Power button. If so, then all isn't lost. You can try to use the stock PD15IMG.zip for the Panache to put it back to stock.

Idk how to do that. I shouldn't of messed with it now the phone is useless. Cause these asians asking for 80$ at mall but its to much
The problem here is that the op tried rooting the panache the same way they rooted theirs friends mytouch 4g. Problem with this is that the panache come with gingerbread already. So they will have to downgrade.
I figured these steps will downgrade their panache with the stock US 2.2.

To make the process very simple, try this method.
Just follow this steps for an error free downgrade.
1. Download the rom here.
2. Rename it to PD15IMG.zip
2. Place it on the root of your sd card.
3. Switch On your phone while holding the Power button & the down volume button.
4. The hboot menu will update your phone (do according to the hboot instructions).
The original bootloader is 0.86.0000
Now reboot & enjoy your update......This is the original T-mobile 2.2.1 version....so no worries.....

Those steps wont work. You need the instructions on the G2 section. I'm on my phone so I can't link, but its in there. You meed to downgrade back to froyo. ADB is also required. So hopefully you know how to do that.

If you are using the Panache, you should be doing this guide.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16858971&postcount=98
It sounds to me like you need a gold card to downgrade your panache to the old android software. Too bad in order to make a gold card you need access to the panache to push the PD15IMG.zip into the card... You can always ask around to see if anyone in your area has a gold card for the panache u can borrow in order to fix your phone.
She is doing this guide. Actually, I've temp-rooted her phone and "updated" the MISC partition for downgrade, but she didn't have a card reader ready for making a goldcard, and the next day she already managed to reboot her phone and get stuck. So the only thing she needs is a goldcard.
The problem currently is getting CID out of this phone, I'm not sure stock bootloader shows it, and it's required for goldcard. If anyone knows Panache's CID - please share. If not - Panache RUU will be required to return to stock, but there is not a single link on the net now. So if anyone has it - please share, too.
Make a gold card for her using this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970157 ? If you have the panache just insert a 1 gig card into the phone and enable disc mode.
1) Format it first
2) Click MMC2 and click get CID
3) Click on the website on the lower part and paste the CID number onto the form
4) go to email download image
5) Load the image and patch it and you'll have a semi ready gold card.
6) Put the phone back in charge/debug mode and push the PD15img.zip file through and it should revert it to mytouch4g stock.
Ps. I just rooted my panache two days ago and Im successfully running VU rom.
The problem with this guide is that it doesn't explicitly say that the phone needs to be fully booted into Android and with USB debugging enabled - but it needs to be. So if the phone doesn't boot, this guide is worthless. See the method this guide is referring to for getting CID out of the phone, and you'll understand.
In any case, the problem is fixed (or actually, there was no problem), the phone is booting. Hopefully, everything will remain ok.
Yea. The last time I gtalked her she was able to boot into the device. Also she did tell me when trying to flash the stock 2.2 unrooted rom from hboot
She did mention something about CID. Hope she can figure out. I don't use adb because I can't get it to ever work on none of the pc's I use so I don't know adb yet. So I won't be able to help her in that part.

I have O2 HD2 which has a fault, I shall be sending this back to HTC for repair but I would like help to make sure everything is as it should be.
I visited HTC website and downloaded the latest HD2 O2 firmware , unzipped the file and placed LEOIMG.nbh on the SD card and installed that.
my phone now says SPL-3.03.0000 is this correct ? is there anything else i need to do?
thank you for your help.
Yep, spot on.
Amazing how messed up and confused people get over it.
If you search there are many guides that show in detail how to do this. In the future before you start flashing you should know how to revert changes before you flash anything.

In all fairness it was a long time ago that i did anything other than update my android sd build , but I had read how to uninstall the HSPL when i originally did it.
I was just checking incase it turned out i needed to do anything else (I just wanted to make sure) , but turned out it really was that simple
HTC sent my phone back after 1 day (i have to wait until monday until UPS redeliver as i was out) , hope it came back fixed.
Fellow XDA friends,
A couple weeks ago my phone slipped out of my hand and the digitzer broke...
I ordered a new digitizer from Ebay and i managed to replace it.
Now comes the BUT..
i cracked my SD card slot ( i think ) the sd card wont stick in there and when i push it in it won't read it..
Now i'm still on a verry buggy build from Jelly bean so i want to have a stable rom.
Can anyone give me specific directions how i can flash my rom via ADB or anything like that ?
I was also thinking about mounting my laptop as SD card but that won't work out right..
Thankss
You can do it through fastboot. Search the forum or Google for specific instructions.

Thanks for your replies !
Try this link. Step 2 depends on your phone. You need to load the bootloader. For the dhd that's power and volume down. You must be rooted and eng s-off.
