If you had changed your wifi -wpa suplicant file before for adhoc purposes then you need to change it again with the original.Even I had the same problem and was stumped to the core! Try Acer Wifi fix also.
It gets stuck on 'connecting'. I'm like 2 cm away from the router and it still won't connect. Didn't happen before the latest Cyanogen Mod Nightly, could it be that?
Reading (& now posting) this thread via my grouper's WiFi - CM10.1 20130413-NIGHTLY (+faux r57 no tweaks).
What's "latest"?
Update
Hmmmm don't know if this is related or not but I see that the CM ad-hoc wireless patches were approved for the grouper kernel on 20130413 - 3 days ago...
I have a home server, running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS with Amahi. It has OpenVPN support and the Open VPN server is infact working, according to the Amahi dashboard on Amahi's website (not my local server).
I have two Android devices that I would like to connect to my OpenVPN server, one is my Verizon Galaxy S4 (running the Hyperdrive rom). The other is my Nexus 10 running the latest Cyanogenmod Nightly.
I have followed this tutorial, but there isn't an OpenVPN setting in either device's Network settings menu. Does anyone have a good how to on setting up OpenVPN for Android?
Does anyone have a guide for this? I have searched quite a bit and haven't had much luck in figuring this out.

Have you tried the OpenVPN Connect client from the play store?
Maybe have a look here:

If you did not add VPN support during the install OpenVPN will not work. I just re-flashed Hyperdrive RLS 9.1 safestrapped on my VZW S4 and upon adding that option during the aroma install - OpenVPN started to work. I unfortunately wanted to do a restore from my old one (without the vpn support option) because I had everything setup perfectly. Is there a way to later add the VPN support that the aroma installer takes care of during initial setup?
I think you can dirty flash, since it's the same rom and same version.
I did select VIN support, but that doesn't have OpenVPN support.

Hey,
Can anyone that have unlocked (the non-tmobile version) OP6t on official stock rom and kernel (9.0.5 should be latest rom) that their 5.0 Ghz hotspot works? I can create it (no errors or anything) but non of my devices detect it. Both my laptop and OP3 does not see the 5.0 Ghz created hotspot even though both have dual band support... I did a quick XDA search and found that some people have complained about the same issue on OP6 forum when they upgraded to Android 9, so was wondering if I have defective device or the rom broke something.
EDIT: Just to clarify 2.4 Ghz does work perfectly but would like to use 5.0 Ghz

I am seeing the same thing (and landed here to see if it was a known issue)...
It works for me. International Version, stock 9.0.5 ROM. No issues so far.

Are you sure it works? Like can other device connect to the created hotspot? Because I can create fine but other devices cannot see it (possibly UI just showing it being created but have actually not been created)
EDIT: Might be Android Pie (9) problem? https://piunikaweb.com/2018/08/22/g...hotspot-tethering-issues-after-android-9-pie/ and https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/help/hotspot-issues-android-pie-t3851548/page2
EDIT 2: Found a fix -> https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/hotspot-not-working.769592/#post-17794877 this works perfectly for me
Hi guys
Do we have any other solutions to this I tried the ADB shell via USB and that didn't work for me? I'm currently on Three network.

It works when the network is Open but not when I put the WPA2 PSK on...
Other devices can connect to network but not the laptop!!
Mine was with a PSK
USB tethering works though so I'm kinda stuck not sure how to progress...
Edit:. Finally sorted changed the settings on my laptop to dual and it picked it up yay
