[Q] Native USB Tehering Not Working!

Hi All!
I've now spent several days trying to run the native usb teher without 3rd app, on different roms with no luck. Among all roms I tried, only one worked based on sense (I d'ont remember exactly which one it was sorry ).
Procedure
For all non working roms, I first plug the USB to my HD2, then activate the USB Tethering from Android (Setting=>Wireless & networks=>Tethering & portable hotspot then tick "USB tethering"). The phone displays "therered".
Observed Result
I tried both on windows 7 64 and windows xp 32 with the same behavior: windows do not detect new hardware and the device manager does not show question marks for unrecognized devices.
Unfortunately it doesn't work for my favorite roms, whereas the "What Work" section of those roms says it should.
Here are my favorite roms :
NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.7
HyperDroidGBX-v12
BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA DESIRE HD V14*GINGER 2.3.4_Sense&HoneyComB V22*MIUI V3
I would really be pleased if someone could help me, give a feeback or share its own experience with those roms.
Note: for each rom, I tried different rom installation methods (MAGLDR or cLK). I also tried to use 3rd app from the market (none worked), and the following app : android-wired-tether
for which it only works one time on a fresh andoid installation
If you have cLK installed still you can use ROM Manager to download and install a new SuperUser app by opening ROM Manager>Download ROM>Extras. Or you can do a search for SuperUser in the Android Market and install the most recent version if you use MAGLDR or do not want to use ROM Manager with cLK. You can get ROM Manager from the Android Market also but nit only works with cLK.
I recently had a similar issue with my HotSpot in the HyperDroid ROM I use and updating my SuperUser fixed it.
Not everything works like the way we wanted it works. We just have to find a way as long as it work. Here you go.

First thx for your reply, I update the super user app from the market to the lastest version, but the native USB tethering still don't work (exactly the same behavior as my first description).
Do you personally manage to get it working? If yes, which rom are you using?

i install this rom to my hd2 everything is working as it should be after reading all the posts and installing glitch fix, weather fix, raf 1.9 and honeycombe batt fix so dont have any problems with rom . but only problem i have found is when i logged onto android market to reinstall my apps some of them werent there . after logging on market on the internet and check my account all my apps were there . i found that my phone make was down as a htc but the model was down as htc runnymede so google android market doesnt recognize my phone . is there anything i can change or a patch i can install so my phone is recognized as either a hd2,desire,hd,or sensation and not a htc runnymede. thanks in advance

I have been trying to edit it in es editor file manager so don't know if I'm doing it right any advise would been greatly appreciated thanks

If you use ES File Manager, you have to give it root write access. Go into the ES File Manager settings and you should find root options. Check the Root explorer and Mount file system check boxes. Then it should be able to save your edits.
hi thanks for all your help i did manage to edit my build prop but rom was to unstable for me so uninstalled have installed sense 3.0 pyramid rom by dungphp which is a better rom for me more stable and i can now get my apps from market

Did you try reinstalling the rom or using the old market, you can download it in the first post of the rom. It's. Strange I don't have this problem I can buy and install with market.
Here is the link to a older version of my rom try it , if this works just flash the latest one over it , don't wipe anything.
MIX_3C3 = Default A500 font and digits , SuperUser3.02 , Netflix1.4.1+rotation, Market 3.1.6 for beter layout on tablets , linktoFacebook app , Hulu-plus.apk , Updated GPS v2.1 config .
Download Link MIX_3C3:http://www.multiupload.com/FSI4Z9LO5V
checksum:99009A0F4B02CBC36D89CEF630C24F57 *Civato_MIX_3C3.zip
Older version: (for people that want the old market version)
Download Link MIX_3C1: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=88S2IT10
checksum: B55FDB9166F73F6883EB8A2E437D5643 *Civato_MIX_3C1.zip
3C1 : Superuser3.0 (will update in market),, Linktofacebook , Netflix1.4.1+ rotation , Market (default A500 market) , GPS V2.0 config. (NO Hulu-plus apk)
but if this works flash the 3B5 or 3C5 over it and let me know . If this still doesn't work pm me !
had the same issue on the same ROM, but this is typically what I do anytime there's any market issue with almost any ROM. first, clear market data & cache, remove finsky.apk (if it's there) and vending.apk from /system/app (sometimes get an FC at this point. it's fine). reboot, add a fresh 3.1.6 version of vending.apk to /system/app, make sure the permissions are correct (either manually or from CWM), and reboot again.
civato's fix works (well it's his ROM, it should work ) but incase you don't want to change anything other than the market itself and you're comfortable changing system files, this method usually works too if done correctly.

Have you got Titanium Backup installed? If so, you could just make a backup, do a fresh install (might want to try a new ROM as well) then restore all apps.
No, I don't have Titanium Backup installed. How do I install it? Thanks.
Yes, I manually installed new version market
Google "gapps" and install the google apps from cyanogen mod.
On another note why haven't you upgraded to a newer version of android 2.3.5?

I am trying to update to android 2.3.5 but I am not sure where to start. Thanks.
Try going to settings => keyboard and change language to us english, not hd english.
It's a common issue.

I have tried all of these but nothing works. I also try to install american android rom but it was stucked at the start screen no matter how many time I tried.
when u manually added the market,u could still have 2 markets lol,i had the same prob,i had market3.15 AND com.android.vending,av a look at ur system apps, use link2sd from the market to check and remove or move to sd card etc, then delete com.android.vending,i use root explorer personally or systemapp remover, but not everybody as them cos they're not free,i could upload them if u need any, also if u do find u have 2 markets, after deleting the old market, boot into recovery and WIPE CACHE AND WIPE DALVIK,then reboot, ptoblem solved

Well, I would try fixing permissions through rom manager/CWR.
If that doesn't work either, reflash the rom.
Also, concerning the AmeriCan Android rom not booting - how big were your internal partitions (mainly system) for the Froyo rom that you've been using? In case you're using NAND, not SD build. Are you?
The ACA rom requires 190MB system partition, if yours is smaller, then it will not boot.
If none of this is the problem, then I am afraid I can't help you.
That's all I would do.

"Your device is not compatible with this item"

Edit: nvm.. fixed it by clearing data of the market place. Thx anyways =P
I have recently changed roms to hyperdroid cm7 and I started getting this message when trying to download apps in the marketplace, not all apps give me this message. I have tried to change my LCD density from 193 to 240 but till same problem. Any fix for this??
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA Premium App
1. By changing DPI need to reboot and reset settings/cache Market
2. The latest version of Hyperdroid is fixed
3. Not all applications are compatible with your country/operator
