Youtube not playing in HQ - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

After I updated my polish 10.1 to stock 3.2. I was unable to watch Youtube in HQ.
I got the Error: "There was a problem while playing Touch to retry"
I had to disable Wifi to watch Youtube in Lower Quality via cellular data.
After reseting/wiping multiple times and flushing the Nordic 3.2 Stock Rom, I tried changing the CSC from XEO to NEE
It is working now and even recognised by KIES
I have discussed this issue on a German Forum and it has turned out that it should be enough only to change the CSC with "Samsung Galaxy S / S2 CSC" from the Market(Changing CSC will wipe your phone)
So I'm curious if there are others with the same Problem?

I have the same problem - trying right now
.... and it works .. Great - Thank You

Odd issue after flashing to JM6

Hi guys,
Well I've flashed my Tab up to JM6, but now I have a rather odd issue.
when I go to *#1234# it shows like this....
PDA: Blank
Phone *****JM6
Modem: Blank
I've tried reflashing back to JJ4, and everytime it is failing on boot.bin. This is with both the P1_Blank and P1_EU PIT files.....
I'm now a little lost on what has happened. The device is working fine (From what I can see) on JM6, but the fact those two options are blank and I seem unable to revert to JJ4 are concerning me.
If anyone else has flashed to JM6, does yours display the same?
Have you tried clearing caches and erasing data to factory default before flashing ?
pda p1000xxjm6
phone p1000xxjm6
csc p1000xxjm6
I'm pretty sure that this is fine. I get the same (PDA and CSC blank) on JM6 and everything works fine as far as I can tell.
My guess is that the Samsung-specific *#1234# menu is just there to keep track of carrier-specific customizations (CSC). On the internal flash storage, there is no such distinction; rather, the CSC overwrite part of the base system. In particular, you get a 100% functional device if you don't apply the CSC.
This was my first tab which had a fault and was replaced. Now working fine.
Old post, forgot to update it.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
How did you fix this problem? I got the same? I have no way of replacing my tab since there is no service center near by.

Market problem after JMC

Hi,
Just upgraded from JMA to JMC then did a factory reset using the XEF CSC. But now I cannot download anything from the market, and I still have the old market it doesn't update itself.
Anybody know what I can do ? I tried using my wifi and with 3G
EDIT: Ok seems to be solved, after the 4th reboot I can now download applications, but I still have the old market.
I'm not sure, but I had a similar problem with the CSC and had no applications in samsung app, then I flashed the JM6 of CSC and has put everything in place could be the csc of jmc to you

Import change to Australian Stock assistance...

Hi all,
New here. Just bought myself a Galaxy S3 (first smartphone). It's a bit tricky to get use too but is fun.
I basically purchased the phone as an import, so it came with French(?) software, though I wanted to change to Australian Firmware. I downloaded the latest Australian Firmware from;
sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-I9300&pcode=XSA&os=1&type=1#firmware
along with the "Additional Files" which came with Odin 3.04
I booted the phone into Developer Mode then loaded Odin, left "Auto Reboot" & "F.Reset Timer" checked & other boxes unchecked/unchanged.
The phone detected (0:[COM9]) highlighted in light blue.
I then loaded the downloaded Firmware into 'PDA' section (.tar.md5), then clicked 'START'
The phone and Odin did its thing then 'Green PASS' appeared and phone reset.
I input all the details into the phone and details from *#1234# are as follows;
~~~BEFORE UPDATE~~~ (French stock ?)
AP: I9300XXALEF
CP: I9300XXLEF
CSC: I9300XEFALE1
~~~AFTER UPDATE~~~ (Australian Sotck ?)
AP: I9300XXBLH3
CP: I9300XXLH1
CSC: I9300XSABLH2
Afterwards I went into system settings and did a factory reset. After phone loaded up again, re-did all the details, but, when I went to update (there was a system update available), it failed to update. I loaded Kies and it said "your device does not support software upgrading via Kies". After this, I remembered the PDF Flashguide from sammobile said to Factory Reset using *2767*3855#, which I then did, re-did all the info again. Attempted the update and it seemed to work (unknown if anything was actually installed as it was quite fast). Now Kies says "This is the latest Firmware"...did it work?
If this is all good, what went wrong during this process? (so I know for future reference)
Is there anything I can check to make sure everything else is all good ? I basically want Australian Stock Firmware and don't really want any issues downloading updates via Australian networks.
Another thing, I read a couple times where people are saying UK firmware is 'better'?...something to do with faster updates ??
Sorry for the long post, kinda new and wanted to be clear as possible (noob video told me to ).
Kind Regards,
OZ Thread .

Hey,
Thanks for the link. I've copied and paste my question to that Aus thread so this one can be locked/deleted if mods wish.
Thanks again

Samsung Galaxy Express I8730 - No sound at all

I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy Express (GT-I8730), international version.
I updated my firmware using Odin to a newer build. The firmware was downloaded from SamFirmware.com.
After the update finished and my phone restarted I've got no sound at all. I tried doing a factory reset but no luck. I thought the firmware was corrupted and after downloading and installing a new one, the exact same thing happened.
In the video posted below I am doing a factory reset from recovery, just to show you that I'm doing everything from the beginning.
The phone vibrates but there is no sound.
Before the update I had build version : I8730XWAMB8. After the update I tried with : I8730XWAMD7 and I8730XWAMC4. All these builds have the version number 4.1.2.
If I reinstall the I8730XWAMB8, I have sound but this build is branded and I'm very mad that I can't install other versions. This thing won't happen on my Note 2. I can install what firmware I want from SamFirmware.com.
I also saw that with all these builds my phone will randomly power-off at different times. It can be 5 minutes after I turn it on or it can be 18 hours. After the power-off I need to take out the battery.
What is wrong with the phone? Before these updates everything worked perfectly (before trying these updates, with the initial build I had sound and there were no random power-offs).
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
I also wanted to de-brand my i8730 and had similar issues as you. I tried 4 different firmwares, and the only firmware that really works OK is the original, branded one. With other firmwares (same version, same country but different branding) got me the occasional shutdowns like you described and wifi constantly disconnecting and connecting again.
Now I went back to the XWAMB8, rooted the phone and with Titanium Backup removed all the branded apps.
If you don't want to root your device you can always hide the apps, from the app list click on the Menu button and choose the option Hide applications.
Isn't that weird? I had a lot of Samsung smartphones and flashed a lot of firmwares (both stock and custom) and never experienced something like this. Can you tell me where you bought the phone from (what carrier and country)? Thanks.

It is indeed very weird. My phone is branded to Portuguese Vodafone, I tried flashing other portuguese firmwares and also from other countries, the only stable one is the original one.
I think the phone is designed to be like that.

It is happened to me too, this power of thing in XWAMC4 firmware. (it is happened after less then 5 minuts after i turned out the screen)
finally i went back to the XWAMB8 and it's all work great.
No sound at all - not a problem in Australia
I updated and Optus branded i8730 with the plain vanilla variety and have had no problem.
Is your phone network locked?
99% sure mine is not and that may be what is causing it.
Bazzan
Well, it was a Vodafone Romania firmware but not really branded. I mean, it only had some apps installed by Vodafone. However, I'm getting my hands on an unbranded grey Galaxy Express today. Let's see what's going to happen with this one..
Something similar happened to me. I rooted it via motochoper from my linux desktop. Played a bit with root stuff, and later then I had no sim detection and no more speaker sound. I reflashed /system and got sim detected but still no speaker sound. Now I'm affraid of rooting the new one (I got lucky with my carrier). Something is weird about that phone...
Edit: In fact it seems to be TB that messed up the device... Everything fine now...

Version number: JZO54K.I8730XWAMB8
Do you have any soluce to fixe this probleme ?
Thanks a lot
Wipe and full reflash with odin or heimdall...
Try full wipe and full reflash of original firmware with odin or heimdall...
Does somebody was able to flash a ROM released for a different carrier and still have sound working on this phone?
I either have no sound at all (after burning a new ROM for different carrier) or have strange sound (like "ET call home" - not my problem description, just found it on this forum too) after mixing new ROM with my original MODEM file.
Of course, everything is fine after burning back my original ROM.

hi All
have the same problem
original firmware is AP I8730XWAMB8 / CP I8730XWAMB7 / CSC I8730BOGAMB1
phone freeze , restart , no sound ..........
Solved with I8730XWANE1_OXXANF1 , all is OK , sound OK
After I flashed LineageOS 14.1 for GT-I8730T (mine is GT-I8730) the sound doesn't work, video player and music players too, they open and I can fast forward it, but it doesn't play. I changed it back to I8730UBAMD2 and CM 13.1 but nothing. Please help me!

[Q] Problems flashing official Vodafone Firmware

Hi guys,
I'm having problems with KIES and ODIN updating my i9505 from 4.3 to 4.4.2 (Official Vodafone Spain)
Everytime I try to update via KIES 3 the USB connection seems to disappear when the updater finishes downloading those 1.6GB of data, it says something about losing connection between PC and terminal. Also, when I'm into download mode the grey letters say System Status Custom! I've never touched anything related to the firmware, having it branded and unflashed since I've bought it to not lose warranty.
Same thing with Odin 1.85 and 3.10, I've flashed my previous i9100 like ten times and I've had no problems back then. Now it says FAIL everytime and if I add the PIT file it autostops and fails again.
Dunno what to do now, as I want to flash the new OS to see if it fixes my dropping network problems (I've changed simcard before with no relief)?
TIA,
