I'm using ADW EX launcher, and the background is a live wallpaper called World View.
Enjoy!
here my homescreen

minimalist, maximal functionality
Amateurs! Here's how minimalism is done. If it were possible to swipe this tablet one-handed, then possibly there'd be an argument for more than one, but otherwise one home page goes without saying. Black background so that you can always see what you're doing, plus the sensuality of black's depth that makes black the new black.
I can't find a working app sorter to render the system apps tray usable, so Folder Organizer on the top two rows makes everything available--and I still have four slots open. The next two rows are my Dropbox shortcuts to immediately access frequently used file locations. I currently only need four of the sixteen slots, so that next row is devoted to two tider-overs: 1) a widget for enabling/disabling the lockscreen fills in for the Widgetsoid widget that doesn't work; and 2) on the left side is my biggest risk: a reboot button ergonomically placed so that it's never accidentally actuated, which I know will eventually happen at the worst possible moment.
Below that, it's all Widgetsoid with so much room remaining to expand for frequently used apps that I can sculpt my lower three rows into the Michaelangelo's David that you're presently beholding. Top Widgetsoid row devoted to settings, with state toggles separated so that their state is displayed, while the remainder are always highlighted. Finally, two rows of apps grouped in Widgetsoid widgets by the way I consider they function in my workflow. From left to right, then down, you've got system utilities, media, time, word processing, and internet. That bottom left Widgetsoid is getting crowded--I need three pdf readers because they all suck in some way--but the others still have slots open. A ting'o'beauty, no?

Anyone know of a reliable, functional clock app? I just rooted, got rid of some bloatware & followed Daswolven's advice to replace Twiz with Adw & my phone has never run better. But I'm looking for the right clock to replace the Weatherbug clock I was using. Found TypoClock from a link on the techbuzz widget & it looked & worked great until it started to eat up ram like crazy (75Mb in an hour). Anybody have any recommendations?

Currently using Tajm. Beautiful Widgets is a good choice, also Weather and Toggle Widget.
for a clean, simple, efficient clock widget i use Digital Clock Widget by Notes. free in the market.
I use Beautiful widgets smaller home weather. the skins are neat.
For a dock clock/alarm clock I use Klaxon.
Beautiful widgets is my personal favorite.

I like the Sense UI type clock so I'm using Fancy Widgets. You just have to get one of the older rev's since HTC complained and the developer changed the current version.
I like Beautiful Widgets for my clock widget. And in case anyone cares, I'm running Alarm Clock Plus V2 in place of the stock alarm clock. I really liked the features of the alarm clock on the Fascinate, but I discovered that it was simply too unreliable. The alarms would maybe go off one day, and not the next, for no reason that I could see. The third party one has worked without fail, and has some interesting features of its own.

Working perfectly for me and is one of my "new" all time favs! although I like clockr as well and I find beautiful widgets to be beautiful, it is a bit heavy on the resources at the moment in conjunction with launcher pro, at least in my phone.
Beautiful Widgets + skin. Done.
Thanks to an XDA user named Lef.teris here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970643&page=1, the system dump for the Sony Xperia Arc has been posted. Another user named Paolo599 ripped the home launcher (called Sony Ericsson Home)... this can be found:
http://www.multiupload.com/2YETWLF218
I've been using it for the last 20 minutes with no force closes. Sony decoupled it's launcher with it's Time and Mediascape apps, so I'm guessing this is why it's relatively pain free to use.
Try it out, it's very cool. You can drag and drop apps into the dockbar and it has a folder management system FOR the dockbar. 5 screens. Very clean looking. It's app drawer also has "pages" as well. Only thing I see wrong is that it's made for slightly bigger phones because the dock text is cut off.
Lemme know how you like it. I don't know if the demand is there, but I'm sure if the home works this good- all we need to grab is the walls and the sounds and we can transform the look of our Vibrant's pretty fast.

Nice, got any screenshots?
Of it in action on my phone? No. But this is what it generally looks like minus the widgets and the dock text (it's made for higher res phones) http://topnews.net.nz/images/sony-ericsson-xperia-arc-01.jpg
That's pretty clean.. I like the silver battery mod.
Pretty cool, always nice to have new options. It does look a little cut off at the bottom though.
Well, according to the Arc section- Sony has made everything in the launcher open source to distribute and mod so maybe someone can mess with the resolution?
Maybe a full on port?
In the short time you've been using it did you notice any selling points of the launcher beyond the look of it?

Folders, the app drawer looks nice, at least unique with custom ordering. Btw, its free, small, and you can switch off at any time, why do you need to be sold?
I dont need to be sold. Every launcher has its own set of features.. Was wondering what this launcher had.

Love the dock/folder integration.
The bottom dock icon doesn't line up. Maybe just mine. Posted some screenshots of the launcher.

The bottom doesn't line up because the Arc has a higher resolution than our phones. A dev is going to have to mess with it if they want it to be perfect.
I'm gonna add a screenshot or two of yours to the main post and give you credit.

What's your favorite part about Honeycomb on your tablet? Applies to both 3.0&3.1
Mine is the blue Accents between screens and Google search.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
I like the widgets. As I think about other platforms, such as iOS and webOS (on the TouchPad), it's the ability to customize the home screens for real productivity that keeps me in the Honeycomb camp. I'm sure webOS will have good multitasking, as always, but like iOS it's really mainly a blown-up smartphone as far as the UI goes. Honeycomb really makes use of the real estate, though, and I like it.
Now, I wouldn't mind some of that webOS multitasking DNA to make it to Android, but that's another discussion entirely...
I love the stock browser, although I use dolphin browser.. but I really like how they incorporated the services of Google aside with the tablet. Google Chrome + HC Sync was fantastic.

Oh my god I never even knew that existed!
My favourite thing is the cool UI
Favorite thing? It's not boring. When my UI threatens to bore me I just change it around. New wallpaper, new icon layouts on each screen, new widgets (or just resize and reposition the old ones).
The customization allowed within Honeycomb is my favorite part.
I also like the ability to have and resize widgets.
The fact that it's not iOS.
I like the UI and the widgets are awesome!
there are things i dont like though

center- time/weather widget, messages/facebook/dolphin webbrowser/twitter/people/gmail/market/camera app
right- music widget, youtube/google voice/netflix/wifi tether app (upper half empty)
right- empty
right most- empty
I want to fill the two blank pages but idk what is useful (maybe a page of games but i dont really play games)
I use only two or three screens at most - many of my apps are in scrollable GO Launcher docks.
Left screen: GO calendar widget
Home: clock, battery mA graph widget, news/mail/xda shortcuts, Switchpro power widgets

Some are just pics I enhance in photshop. I just sit and do searches on Deviant Art, Flickr, etc for cool high res pics and then I tweak 'em.
Some are graphics that I put together from scratch. I wanna start making my own icons in the next few weeks. hopefully something different than what other people are making, becasue tbh, a lot of the custom icon packs look pretty much the same to me.

Because that's what some manufacturers do.
Last year HTC only allowed one lockscreen widget with the 4.2 update to the M7.
what the crap? I have been looking for a way to add shortcuts. Seriously? gone?? Man, this is a cool device, but i have only had it for a day and have already been annoyed by several things! this one is pretty critical for me though. 13 days left to decide if i keep it or not...

Would you mind reporting back on this once you try it? I don't want to buy widgetlocker only to find out it doesn't work.
That being said. In an attempt to try anything/everything to get lock widgets to show up, I enabled daydreaming mode for charging and while trying to get dashclock and such to work I enabled its day-dream widget and to my surprise when I put my phone to charge the dashclock widget shows up while my phone is charging/in day dream mode.
Is there seriously no way around this though? Is this something samsung will change if enough people ***** about? I don't have an alternative phone to go back to but I will seriously sell/switch off this phone asap if this is the case. This was one of the biggest features I was looking forwards to when switching to android!!
