What's your favorite part about Honeycomb on your tablet? Applies to both 3.0&3.1
Mine is the blue Accents between screens and Google search.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
I like the widgets. As I think about other platforms, such as iOS and webOS (on the TouchPad), it's the ability to customize the home screens for real productivity that keeps me in the Honeycomb camp. I'm sure webOS will have good multitasking, as always, but like iOS it's really mainly a blown-up smartphone as far as the UI goes. Honeycomb really makes use of the real estate, though, and I like it.
Now, I wouldn't mind some of that webOS multitasking DNA to make it to Android, but that's another discussion entirely...
I love the stock browser, although I use dolphin browser.. but I really like how they incorporated the services of Google aside with the tablet. Google Chrome + HC Sync was fantastic.

My favourite thing is the cool UI
Favorite thing? It's not boring. When my UI threatens to bore me I just change it around. New wallpaper, new icon layouts on each screen, new widgets (or just resize and reposition the old ones).
The customization allowed within Honeycomb is my favorite part.
I also like the ability to have and resize widgets.
The fact that it's not iOS.
I like the UI and the widgets are awesome!
there are things i dont like though

I'm using ADW EX launcher, and the background is a live wallpaper called World View.
Enjoy!
here my homescreen

Amateurs! Here's how minimalism is done. If it were possible to swipe this tablet one-handed, then possibly there'd be an argument for more than one, but otherwise one home page goes without saying. Black background so that you can always see what you're doing, plus the sensuality of black's depth that makes black the new black.
I can't find a working app sorter to render the system apps tray usable, so Folder Organizer on the top two rows makes everything available--and I still have four slots open. The next two rows are my Dropbox shortcuts to immediately access frequently used file locations. I currently only need four of the sixteen slots, so that next row is devoted to two tider-overs: 1) a widget for enabling/disabling the lockscreen fills in for the Widgetsoid widget that doesn't work; and 2) on the left side is my biggest risk: a reboot button ergonomically placed so that it's never accidentally actuated, which I know will eventually happen at the worst possible moment.
Below that, it's all Widgetsoid with so much room remaining to expand for frequently used apps that I can sculpt my lower three rows into the Michaelangelo's David that you're presently beholding. Top Widgetsoid row devoted to settings, with state toggles separated so that their state is displayed, while the remainder are always highlighted. Finally, two rows of apps grouped in Widgetsoid widgets by the way I consider they function in my workflow. From left to right, then down, you've got system utilities, media, time, word processing, and internet. That bottom left Widgetsoid is getting crowded--I need three pdf readers because they all suck in some way--but the others still have slots open. A ting'o'beauty, no?

Hey!
I thought of a concept that will be hard to achieve, but awesome if it works.
This is it: The OS acts as if there are two screens that you can control independently. This way you can do things like editing a file while looking thing up on the internet. I realize this probably would not work, and in terms of technology I'm kind of a noob, but this is just an idea that would be cool and not actually anything I am working on.

I know of the Sony Tablet P, but I meant that it would be something that any Android phone with enough power could use. But thanks anyway!
If you split the screen in two, don't you think the screens would be way too small anyway? I mean it is a good idea, but who really does anything majorly needing that on their phone?
Maybe if you got the Kyocera Echo's source you could trick the display into doing it
http://www.engadget.com/2011/04/13/kyocera-echo-review/
But it wouldn't be practical on a phone, maybe on a tablet
OP, I think its a great idea!
You would have two 6.25 cm (2.5") 427x480 (or 480 minus a few pixel rows for the status bar) app windows.
It probably could be implemented, but I doubt it will

This is just for multitasking though. The DS was a good idea, but the real innovation was the touch screen - not the two screens.
This might or might not be useful. I thought of it because to me it seems useful when looking things up or something. And yes, the screens might be small. But I do not think they will be too small.
There's.a Nokia dual screen check it on youtube I def was not impressed
Sent from my R800a using XDA App
I would find this useful because you can have your music player on the left/bottom of the screen, and have any other app on the other half of the screen. That way you wont have to change constantly between apps so in other words it is great for multitasking.
Imigine that you can swipe the bar between the two apps to make one bigger or smaller... that would be nice...
EDIT: Heard about Cornerstone? It does something very similar:

Works VERY WELL! I have lived by miren browser... this blows miren out of the water... very snappy to load pages! My new favorite browser! Now they just need to make it work on something other than ics and it'll be the only browser I need!

I agree, its pretty snappy and it feels like it should have been there all along.
I like it very much.
I just downloaded it and I really like it so far. The tab system is really smooth and good looking and there are a bunch of nice optimizations (like the magnification bubble that pops up when clicking on small links, like page numbers on a thread). The desktop bookmarks is SUPER laggy though, it takes a good 15-20 seconds for it to load and let you click on something.
Been using this on my PC's for years and I love it on my phone. Fastest browser yet! I just hope they come out with a dark version. Previously I used the dark dolphin mini and blacked out miren, chrome is soooo bright!

How often do people go to Kongregate on their phones through the browser to play games? There's enough apps with similar games, and you will still have the stock browser with flash if you really need it. I find that I barely use it in the browser. The Chrome browser is really well put together and will only get better!
HTML5 is just about ready to bust out; youtube has a whole branch for it. I am thinking really soon HTML5 will get the big push. (in that non-computer geeks will know it exists)
i agree flash is out dated but alot of sites still use it. thought it deserve a mention for people like me that dont want to have multiple apps for one purpose cluttering their phones. chrome beta is a great browser but until flash is completly gone it wont work for me. just my prefrence.
Running this on CM9-alpha1 and loving it! Tab management is the best I have seen to date, very clean. Also, syncing bookmarks and history is a huge plus. I type "f" in the address bar and it auto-suggests straight to the Epic 4G Android Dev page on XDA, just like it does on my laptop and desktop.

Irrelevant. It is a browser's job to show me web pages. If there's an old page with useless flash content, it is the responsibility of the browser to render it.
Regardless, I downloaded this earlier and wonder why it hasn't been part of Android all along, or why it wasn't just an update to the stock browser. Google now has two very similar mobile browsers for Android.
I honestly love the split bars but hate how all the launchers look like a big phone. There's just too many Roms to go through so which ones would allow the launcher to run tablet style while the rest of the ui stays in hybrid?

You could switch a rom or stay with stock. If you just want the launcher to rotate, look at the 5th post on this thread. All it needs you do do is add a line in the build.prop in stock.

Yeah I know making the launcher rotate is possible but I'm wanting to have the launcher run in the old tablet ui
Overall the hybrid ui is an improvement in many areas but it needs more work. The launcher layout is flat out terrible IMO. They should of just kept the old honeycomb style for the launcher. Also the lack of dual pane settings is a fail too

Dear sir:
As you may be aware of, due to recent litigation against Samsung USA, the courts have upheld Apple's patent on rounded corners in all present and future mobility devices. We respectfully request that you do not download, distribute or promote the use of anything that produces rounded corners with anything other than an Apple approved device. Failure to comply will result in a multitude of rabid, foaming Apple fanboys being sent to correct the issue.

Use a third party launcher they will have a black bar, at least that's how it is on my Nexus 4 running 4.4.
Or if you have a Nexus 4 and running custom rom or Xposed modules, you can set the status bar and navbar to be transparent, switch to a third party launcher, and blacklist that launcher using RoundR Extrensions, of course you'll lose the Okay Google in the process.
The app's blacklisting the Google launcher itself doesn't work right now.
This app is pretty awesome! If only the notification could do something useful like battery life or something and if it worked with the transparent bottom nav bar I would totally keep it!
This app works great when opening apps, and the status/nav bars turn black. The dev should have the option not to enable on homescreen and only activate when apps are open. (if its possible) then this would be a beauty.
