My neightbour has X5 and few days ago, his camera stoped to work. Ussualy it just shows black screen when you start camera (no bottons, can't take a picture, anything). Sometimes shows error: camera has stopped responding.... Force close...
I've tryied different application for camera it doesn't help. Also tried clearing camera cache. Any solutions or ideas'

Sounds like camera is broken. Try to do factory reset if possible.

I tried other camera apps., tried uninstalling and reinstalling the moto camera app, reboot, nothing. Wiped cache of the app as well.
Going to try other things as well but really hope the camera itself isn't broken.
I accidently factory resetted in TWRP.... anyway, the camera still display black ****, I think it's broken

Hello, I have p8lite few months and I see very often, almost always, when I run camera app, it looks that is is working, but..
when I left the application by HOME or BACK and return back to camera, here are various behaviors:
1) black screen and after some time camera app restart itself, and again and again
2) camera shows the screen but unable to get focus to object
3) camera works normally - this occurs only some times, 1) or 2) wins
Sometime helps end of app from tasks or clear data of camera.
I also made the factory reset and I camera is doing it again - the same on the clean system after some time.
When looking on LOGs, here is strange error about some buffer which launch app again and again.
I have original Android6, EMUI4.0 - C432B574
Any idea? Anybody see this problem?

Try downgrading to B560 or lower.
Hello all,
I've had this problem for the last few days and can't seem to resolve it. My phone has been extremely slow lately and apps are taking a long time to load up. However, when I needed the camera to snap a picture, I must wait about 20 seconds and the following message appears:
"Camera Error: Unable to start Camera. Check if any 3rd-party apps are using camera resources (such as Torch). Close them and try again."
I have since checked the Torch app and see that the light is on, but no visible light is emitted from the flash sensor. I turned off the Torch and the camera still displays the same message. Going back into Torch, I discover it is still on and I am unable to permanently turn it off. I also don't see any other apps that may be using the camera, so I'm really confused.
If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated
The only thing I can suggest you do, is to make a backup, then do a factory reset. As soon as the phone boots up, then check the camera to see if the issue persists. If it does, it is most likely a hardware issue, and the phone will need to be repaired.
If not, then there's a rogue app that is preventing the camera from starting up, so you'll need to install all your apps individually, to see which one is the problem. Good luck!
Hi everyone!! I am having camera crash issue with my Oneplus 5. It crashes every time I open the camera app. It opens for 5-6 seconds and crashes each time. I tried clearing data of camera and also clearing cache from recovery, but no luck. I have tried hard reset the phone, re-locked the bootloader, completely back to stock, but still no luck with camera, it still crashes. Recently, I tried open beta with android 9, but still same with the camera.
Does/did anyone have such problem with the phone? Any solution would be highly appreciated.

Hi people! Recently I've been having problems with stock camera app on my s8. Normally using both cameras, taking some photos and and when I click to exit from it, camera keeps working, all buttons on screen would freeze and I wait like 5 seconds to actually exit and even worse, sometimes it won't start recording after i clikc REC button, just stays there and does nothing. Is this like common problem, maybe due to pie 9.0 update? Maybe any possible apps that causes interference ? One more thing, after exiting from it i get a notification something like this "gallery app keeps crushing, using too much battery, put it to sleep?"
I have tried solving it with clearing camera and gallery data and app cache, whole partrition cache, uninstalling gallery update, problem still not gone. Thanks.
