Hello everyone,
last week I picked up Iconia A500 runs Android 3.2. I'm on Windows 7 x64 and I've been developing with my HTC Desire without any problem but when I connect Iconia it doesn't appear on ADB list in Eclipse. I downloaded and installed latest drivers from Acer website, tried different USB ports, uninstall and reinstall drivers, etc. but still nothing happens. There is only Acer ICONIA TAB A500 under Portable Devices in Device Manager but nothing appears under Android USB Devices. USB debugging and Stay awake is on. I've been googling and trying all suggestions but no chance.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Sorry I missed that. Can you see the tab in the windows explorer..?
I had about the same problem when first set up. I think my tab first came up in adb as a long string of numbers. Don't rember what I did. If it pops in I will post back.

Yes I can see the internal sd card as a drive in windows explorer. what is weird I don't have such problem with HTC Desire it's obviously something to do with Iconia.

how are u getting on???
u will need to install Acer adb drivers. the ones u d/led from Acer are only yr USB drivers.
also, Acer does not play well with other mobile device drivers that u have already installed.
Well, I should say that mine didnt.
on yr tab uncheck USB debugging and reboot.
on yr PC uninstall ALL drivers both HTC and Acer reboot PC
connect tab to PC and re-enable USB debugging
open a command prompt and run "adb devices" to see yr devices serial number
once u have the Acer set up running u can reinstall yr HTC drivers.
if u don't see the device number, u might wanna check out this post here which will walk u thru editing the USB .inf files for use with adb.
good luck
Hi,
it decided to start working literally I've done nothing what I'd been doing for days. I unplugged the tab, uninstalled the drivers I downloaded from Acer support site (they are coming with ADB drivers) , restarted PC, reinstalled Acer drivers, plugged in the tab (and little magic powder i suppose ) and Windows said it couldn't find the driver for the device, I pointed to the Acer drivers and bang! it simply started working. I think it's about Windows, as ususal it controls what software you have to use in your computer!!! but because of a bug somewhere in Windows code it stops installing the drivers it prefers and says it couldn't find any driver.
Thank you so much for your help guys.
And if anyone comes across same problem just keep trying with different USB ports by uninstalling and installing drivers, after one point Windows stops resisting and accepts the reality that you want to use the drivers provided by Acer

Are you using window 7? maybe try run the program as admin or maybe mess with the compatibility mode. Also you should be using the usb port at the back of your computer not front panel, well thats if your on a desktop. Maybe different usb port

Did you completely uninstall QHUSB_BULK before installing Qualcomm mobile drivers?

Hi,
Before OTA-update to 6.0.1 I was able to connect my Yotaphone to my PC or laptop and browse the contents.
Since ROM-update I'm not able to browse the contents.
In Windows Explorer I only get to see that the Yotaphone is connected, but there are no contents shown.
I already updated to these drivers: https://gsmusbdriver.com/yotaphone-2
Didn't help either.
All other devices I connect get recognised and are browsable.
Anyone that has instructions how to get this fixed is welcome.
Thank you...
When you connect Yotaphone to the PC check in the notification if this is the alert regarding usb connection.
If yes check the right choiche

... If that had worked then of course I wouldn't have to start this thread in the first place .
There is no notification on my yotaphone. On my PC I get a popup screen when I attach the phone. There I select something like 'use FileExplorer to display files' or something like that.
Help?!!
No-one that has a solution for this problem? It's really annoying that I can't access my phone-memory. Can't add any APK-file
Hello, i have the same problem since the update. With windows 8, windows 10 and mac os 10.9.3 - so i dont believe that this is a driver problem, if i swith from USB-MTP mode to USB-loading mode and then back to USB-MTP mode, my computer recognizes the phone fully and all is fine, but i have to repeat this action every time i connect the phone to the computer.
How do you switch to these modes? Within developer mode and usb debugging on, or else?
Thank you.
Yes, exactly as You wrote ... within developer mode, USB-debugging on and MTP-mode chosen.
---------- Post added at 10:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:48 PM ----------
Select in developer options "select USB configuration", choose MTP mode, then back to developer options again, click on "select USB configuration" and choose
"Charging", then back to developer options, tip on "select USB configuration" again and choose MTP mode again. Now your computer will fully recognize the Yotaphone. I meant charging mode - " loading mode" was bad translated into English -sorry

PS: I did just send a feedback form to Yotaphone crew according to this problem. Hope they mend this -with this solution- minor bug.

Hi,
I recently reinstalled Windows 10 on a CSC Wisebook W803T (cheap tablet from Thailand) and ran into severe problems installing drivers as many of them can't be found on the net anymore. Windows Update didn't help because it loaded an I2C driver which was too new, so devices like touchscreen, rotation sensor, sound chip, GPS etc. couldn't even get detected by Windows.
With the help of another tablet owner I collected all the drivers (latest working version) necessary for the device to run properly. You can install the package with the program Double Driver, available for download here: http://boozet.org/dd.htm
Here you can get the driver package: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ebcyopsgdewl4vw/Wisebook W803T Drivers.zip?dl=0
VirusTotal Scan: https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/8...2a9277d74c17aa6d6ae3c75eba2cfe3f48f/detection
I hope this helps someone getting his Wisebook working again!

Yes, you do this on the tablet. Just plug a mouse in with an adapter and use the on-screen-keyboard. Then you just have to restore everything from the driver package.

now u can install any version of windows if its 32 bits I found its another source of driver,
W803T.rar
drive.google.com
this is directly by the thai company CSC and I've tested these drivers on Windows 10 X86 20H2
it works like a charm so now u can make use of this google drive link
