Hey everyone,
Im a web developer by trade and run one of the largest game sites on the internet. I love this community and would be great to give back to the developers etc.
Im thinking of creating a new site, purley for hosting developers latest cooks and products.
I personally hate downloading apps from rapidshare etc, especially with download limits per 24 hours etc.
So as mentioned, this new site will allow developers to sign up and have there own personal hosting space free of charge, some other features i have begun to implement are as follows.
- Free hosting for Dev files and finished products.
- Built in donation system with donations going straight to the developers.
- Revenue share for the top Developers.
- Built in Shopping cart for developers finished products if they wish to sell the product. Finished products can also be download for free if the developer chooses so.
- Custom developer homepage, with all projects listed on each developers homepage.
I aim this site at developers who cannot afford to run there own website, and want to cut costs on bandwith and also make some money from donations and revenue share from the site.
I would appreciate anybodys comments on this service aimed to developers.
The site should launch in a few weeks time.
Hey there to all Devs who might be hanging around. I have been following this site for years now, and just got a HD2 and playing with Android. I noticed that most of these roms are on megashare, etc. I have unlimited bandwidth and diskspace. I am willing to donate said services for any and all android devs who want/need the space, or who don't want to mess with these share sites. If you would like pm me or respond to this thread and I will send you ftp information.
Thanks to all who have the time (as I don't I have a wife, kids a day job and a consulting company I run) to create these roms and to hack the phones, etc. If this is against the rules or in the wrong forum I apologize.

Ive been using various roms for the droid inc. so to give back to the development community. I have a server (with root ) being unused located in a datacenter in Orlando Florida. I have an extra 200GB in bandwidth id like to giveaway. So if any developers would like to have a very fast mirror for there ROMs let me know and ill have you setup in no time!

I am offering my website as a free file host for rom/app developers. you will be able to use my site to upload your kernels, roms, updates, themes or anything android related. pm me if you are interested. I am doing this to be kind because i have multiple websites that arent in use and i hate file host that make users wait or have slow download speeds.
We really appreciate your help, but I think developers also benefit from those hosts.
For example, they may be given $10 per 1000 Downloads. And it is not really a big deal for us to wait 45 seconds to download, as long as the ROMs are provided to us for free .
