Hello!
Here is the list of some Custom ROM's floating in this forum-

Not possible unless boot loader gets cracked.

Xperia X8 custom ROM
I want to add proxy support for Wi Fi on this phone,
after rooting the phone , it is asking for ip tables on my ROM,
one more thing is the boot loader of Xperia X10 cracked ?

Im sure people are working on it, but none has succeeded so far as to my knowledge.

Thanks!! Its great to have alternatives roms =) i dont like so much the Original ROM.

erm.. it's 100% percent possible, almost every1 did it, go to google and search for the roms. u need to install xrecover and root explorer 1st

Take look after Ginger 2.3.5, download move to SD card, make sure you have xRecovery installed as well and proceed, but easy for u is to use on YouTube on your computer few movies about install new room ...good luck!

Install the PC Companion, as it also installs all the drivers you need.
And: don´t plug the phone and click root, just click the button without having your X8 connected, then wait until it says "waiting for device" and then plug it.

problems in instalation of busybox and xrecovery
hey guys...... i jst rooted my x8...... but now to get 2.3.3 u need to install busybox and xrecovery.. but when i try to do so... derez a error sayin... dese files cannot be pasted here because dey r read only..... PLZZZZZ HELP:confused

Arc stockROM

Might be premature but can someone say if the Xperia Arc Rom, being 2.3 will be compatible with the X10? Some apps are bound to work.. Looking like a good Gingerbread phone and potential ROM solution for the X10

I am sure that Bin4ry, jerpelea, zdzihu and all the other awesome devs will have no problem finding a way to port and flash the 2.3 Xperia arc ROM onto our X10's!

I will have my Arc very soon, get to play with it on the 21st and then i should fingers crossed have my one very soon after that.

TripNArc is already on it for X10! looks like the days of getting arc on our X10 is getting nearer

Yea, good luck with that one.
Two months ago I've just accepted the fact that my X8 is a garbage and I have to buy a better phone in case I want something done.
X8 is a entry level phone, sad but true :\

There is nothing wrong with X8. It is a great phone for its price.

Amazing value. SE really make great hardware. The software is clear and clever also, very modern architecture.
Only thing letting this highly impressive stack of accolades is this drm on the bootloader. This will not effect most daily users, they won't even notice I'm a Dev... I unfortunately do though :-(

I like to know that to. I have LT15a generic user world rom which I thought it will help some people to use this.
Any help would be nice. I did the update with SEUS and the files are in the folder but don't know how I can decrypt them as didn't work with Flash Tool.

I never did it but logically:
USB debugging ON
plug the Arc to the PC and don't bother change the ''connect'' feature.
Open DOS window in the SDK tool folder where the adb executable is, then:
ADB devices
ADB pull *.* /system
ADB pull *.* /data
It should copy all your system and data files to the adb folder in your PC

Last two questions before I make a dump of my LT15i. Do I have to do it on a unix system or there is no matter if I do it on a windows ?
Do I have to reset my phone before the dump to have a clean filesystem dump ?
ps : the two commands give me the same results for the contents of the directory /system and /data on my computer.

You can use windows of course!
It would have been lot easier if we had recovery on Arc, you just have to nand backup and voila! but we still don't have root

you'd be a legend if you did, so many ppl love this ROM, is too good to leave...
I read tho that there isnt enough system space but I bet you could remove certain elements to squeeze in other parts...
If you go ahead with this i'd be more than happy to help in any way I could...If you need someone to sit and type stuff or in depth testing i'd do it....but im not a dev unfortunately

do you want some help? i'm not a developer, i'm a code amateur, but i could try to help you fixing this.
i think i can fix the wi-fi if someone solves the SD Safe to Remove bug (so i can access System files)

The main problems are in libhardware_legacy and tiwlan drivers, as those are incompatible with Sense.

my beta-testers are using the rom ... it may be uploaded next week

i thik we will have sense full working in january

We acsualy need just to fix Wifi,Gsm,Gps,Bluetooth and bunch of other things. I think with my last attempt was working, and i got error 6. I done tons of research on Error 6 and i done it it is a badly packed file. And what is the problem is that i lost the rom, We nikola,Rokitout11 and me will be fixing it. Expect the rom to be out fully fixed in january maybe if we be lucky well do it before chrismas but it depends on everything.

Gonna upload new links for few roms so that no 1 gets into trouble while downloading !! If u have problem than better not comment !!

If the Rom builder didn't update the download links for old versions it might be a hint that he doesn't want to.
A lot of them do not like alternative download links (statistics, control of distribution etc.)
And maybe the original Rom builder doesn't want to give support for old versions anymore - with new links and downloads there will be support requests (like "Is it safe to...?" or "How do I install...?").
So you must ask every Rom owner if this is acceptable for him.

Its better to seed them on torrent. So that only those who really have the knowledge of that rom will search and download it. Or those who have previously used it.
There are people who like to use the previous roms for educational purpose.

Yeah seems a good idea !!! Lets start with crash 1976 !! I'll ask him if he allows me to add additional mirror for his roms !! Itz really necessary coz JB leaks are still buggy ........ And all the mirrors of crash rom are dead !! I Have V9 of his rom !! Tried uploading on 4 shared today ( was done 78 % and all of a sudden started from 1% again ) !! Gonna try again 2morrow !!
BTW DOES ANY1 KNWS WHICH SITE WILL BE GR8 FOR EVERY 1 TO DOWNLOAD ...... COZ I LL UPLOAD EM BY ASKING TO DEVELOPERS !! :good:

You didn't ask anybody for permission until now, you didn't succeed in uploading only 1 Rom, you don't have a "new fast server", there is no visible demand for old ICS versions.
If something's dead why revive it as "zombie"?

Xperia Arc S-Failed to load CFW

Hey guys,
I tried to put the jj's on my Xperia Arc S over the following link:

I did everything like it stands there but I think my phone is broken now, cuz when rebooting at first the Sony Ericsson logo appears and then there is a blackscreen and I can't do anything so help me pls...
And if you can help me try to give me a good link on how to put a customfirmware on my phone that makes it fast... PLS

use flash proper kernel for ur rom and then check...
some kernels are built for special roms

Search under Xperia Arc Android Development, there are plenty of guides there about how to install custom ROMs.
