[Q] Apocalypse beta 3 problems

y have 2 mayor problems, first of all my batery life went from 60 to 20% on less than an hour. and y dont really know what could be causing this... and also, i cant find the calendar app nor on the home screen nor the app list.
now i've formatted the SD card but it's taking forever to reboot

but i can't find the Beta 2 !!
an when i flash the 1.3 on the clean JPM i have red message when i wype ..

Still some other isusues.
i cant get a fix on my location on google maps
and my internet (g3 mainly) is awfuly slow.
plus the phone is laggy. it gives the impresion for the no ROM version of froyo to be much faster.
wish i could post this on the Apocalypse thread but im still not alowed to do so :S
some advice pls???

im using beta 3 too and its butter smooth (even with full OC )
after you flashed what was your internal memory free space??
and as for the gps fix use the fasterfix app they gave inbuilt in the rom..

and i have a problem too..
if i install flash 10.1 or 10.2 and open any site that contain flash contents, the browser just closes..(any browser.. and not force close, just exits )
PS:i had flash 10.1 working in stock 2.1

Mine is menu is smooth, but when i play games he's really laggy..

Well i didnt xhecked for free spaxe at that time. But i ran the mad app2sd and havent has space.issues. And i am using gps fix but still it wont aquire my position. Y think i will reflash jpm and flashing the rom again and see if that works. My battery drained very fast yesterday. It went down to 20% in under 10h

Im using froyo ddjp4...i am facing problem of restarting device at the time of downloading movies or any large file...im using ucweb 8.0 for downloading...d same thing happened with other browsers also...also back button is not working when i was open my contacts...plz give me d solution...map shows my location unavailable??????...plz help me.....

Is it a Stock Rom or Custom Rom?

try clearing all open applications before downloading anything. sometimes your phone restarts because there's very little RAM available (at least so i feel). does your back button light up when you press it at least? does the menu button work when in contacts?
and try enabling GPS and wifi (even if you're not using it). are you using 2g/3g or wifi? try using maps using a faster internet speed.

Its time you flash a custom rom!!
And to download movies use an app called byte tornado. Works good for me!!

I hv alredy flashed custom rom bt im nt satisfied wit dat.light wil appear wen i press contact back button...ther is large space always available in ram...i dont wat is d exactly problem...plz help me...now its hangs. ...

Flash a custom ROM. See if the problem persists.
If yes then problem is with the battery.

JPQ network problem

i have flashed stock JPQ from kyrillos thread....
now my networks goes off suddenly and comes after sometime time.....
and also there is call dropping i need help what should i do....????

May be thisrom is not supported where you live..

Bro you may try switching to Manual Network mode and see if the problem is actually with the ROM, you may also visit the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125387 incase some apps were not properly installed, you can browse down to your ROM version for system apps and other resources.

Random reboots

Need help here..i have been having this problem since two days..tried two different roms but not solved..
Problem: phone reboots most of the time while composing msg or rplying to msg..
Tried check's dk v2 rom and currently on touch x-treme 2.0 sp2..using ragemod t-30 kernel..
Plz help..
P.S:tried everything from wiping data/cache and dalvick cache..
Reinstalling rom..installing stock rom and custom rom but no help till now..
Tried samsung kb and gingerway kb..go kb..just in case kb problem bt no improvement..
Plz help..

Happened to me on Cognition v1.5 ,
Solved by removing un-wanted apps,
The problem might exist in some app, mostly in the one asking SU permission.
Try removing some suspicious apps, see if the problem exist.

There are lots of posts about reboots (many by me!) but I don't recall any reboots specifically relating to text entry.
In my own case, my phone misbehaved in a truly random way, with about the only consistant part being that it rebooted normally when it was doing nothing.
You don't say if you just have your phone for 2 days or if this is a new development?
All I can say is that I sent my phone for replacement (a painful process!) and the one I have now is fine. The SGS2 is a great phone when it behaves !!!

i have my phone since 2 months..this issue has been 2 days..tried ninpho kernel ragemod kernel..and 2 or 3 roms but the phone only reboots when entering text in stock messaging app..i surf net for hour..or cal or even use go sms pro then it doesnt happen..and I use the stock msging app which comes with rom..without modding it..dont use bln..I just cant seem to figure out y this is happening on multiple roms!!!

does it happen when using the messaging app on a stock rom

found the problrm today..
The problem is with jkay mod 9.1..I dnt knw wat it causes the reboots bt as soon as I uninstalled the mod and application..the problem ws solved..I m currently on batista rom and sppedmod kernel..and using jkay mod 8.2..no problems nw..
Gonna report it to jkay nw..
Any1 knws hw to get logcat of a prob??

Have you followed all the steps of this tutorial ("[READ THIS] Got a Boot Loop? Don't post a New Thread!" by Pulser, in the Q&A section) correctly?

it wasnt a "boot loop" boot loop is when the phone keeps rebooting from boot screen..it was phone random reboot..phone rebooting itself randomly(in my case in text entry)
anyways the problem was solved..
anyone else if having these sorts of problem in new roms(using jkay mod 9.1)
or using jkay mod 9.1 try removing it..or else using 8.2 jkaymod version..

Ive had several of these every like week on stock ROM not rooted, my suspicion is Weather widget, I terminate it by taking out battery, not ideal, but ......

urs must be a kernel problem or something..in my opinion dont be so harsh on ur phone reflash a new firmware through..pulling out battery everytime led me to broken proximity sensor...

Samsung galaxy s2 random reboots
hi
i have a new samsung galaxy s2 which was originally from bell canada but was unlocked(by imei unlock i think) the firmware is stock
model number : GT-I9100M
Baseband version: I9100MUGKG2
Kernel: [email protected]#2
my issue with this phone is that when im listening to music through the stock headphones via the stock music player it crashes, makes a sound while doung it. gives the media scanning on the bar on the top and the phone signal is not there.
i read from the other posts here that it may be from the sd card so i removed it but its still happening.
any suggestions?

I know this is an old post but I fixed my reboots by removing all apps from SD card, not had a reboot in months, cant use card for programs, stock ROM

I solved random reboots downgrading from 2.3.6 to 2.35.
Hope it helps.

Move everything from /system/etc/init.d/ to another directory on external_sd.
Flash a rock stable kernel like speedmod k21 without undervolting.
If it doesn't help flash a rock stable rom like Criskelo v38.

[Q] Calls and graphics problem

it's my first post here, my English is regular so i think you will understand me
I'm using Reincarnation Rom based on CM 7.2 and percy_g2's [email protected]#2 kernel.
There are my problems:
1. I can call people, but nobody can call me. They are hearing normal signal but i don't even see they called.
2. When SIM card is put to the phone, i've got that black curtain after entering PIN(in attachment) or sometimes i see 4 parts of desktop but in bad places.
I hope that anyone knows why these things are happening.

1. which version r u using ?? make sure it is the updated version !! the older version may have some bugs of calling !!
2. all i can see in attachment is the pattern lock screen !! nothing else !! so please say clearly what is the problem..

1. Version of caller app or what? If Rom&Kernel im using newest versions.
2. It's a gif, you need to open it to see.

They r hard to b fixed ... so i wud suggest u to change the rom ..... Try Hyperion ....Its stable fast and bug free

I've had Hyperion, it's a cool ROM with some good features but i like to have polish language.
Anyway, i reinstalled stock firmware, installed percy's kernel and PureKat v2 ROM and everything is working perfectly, thread to close.
EDIT: Tried installing CM7 a few minutes ago and it's also working perfectly, so reinstalling stock rom and then flashing CM7 is the solution.
