I need something very very simple, first of all I have LT15a & LT18a prototypes, I don't trust the FTF posted here on XDA, some write that they Gneric and etc, but we can't compare the SI numbers, so what I need is:
- Flash using Wotan client.
- Repair using SEUS (just to download files in blob_fs folder)
- decrypt and create bundle from SEUS files in blob_fs
* the second task will be enough for me.
I asked many times, but no buddy helps me, and the devices can be flashed only by "Flash Tool" with FTF, so maybe some $$ will help ?
PS, not sure if an A flash will repaired on I HW and etc, but everyone welcome to help.

Let me get this straight: you don't trust something that's on xdadev, so you're asking xdadev to help you do what the thing posted on xdadev would do anyway?
If you're talking about firmware, what's your problem with what's here? Many of us, me included, have used it successfully.

Ok, I explain, The ROMS from xda-dev do work inded, but for now any user who want to flash Stock SE ROM, can use
Wotan as they free, or try other fee/free service, but my situation different, my devices are BROWN certificate, so no software any than EMMA (SE service program) flash them, but "Flash Tool" still can do it, but I don't have access to all FTF (or SIN, SIN SETS). Also how can I be sure that FTF posted here is Geberic Trade US? I know that the main thing that differs it from other, by "Books" app from Google, and still I can't be sure, as there no CDA numbers to compare with (Wotan also not post em). So in conclusion, my only way to get FTF for specific ROM is to flash it with Wotan, and then repair with PC Companion, I'm not sure if there also a way to just backup flashed ROM straight from device.
*BTW, the files from Wotan looks like SIN SETS, but people here tried to bundle FTF, with no luck, they different from SEUS files, I successfully made a bundle from "Omnius" files, unfortunately they miss many in compare to Wotan.
It's probably a stupid question but... can't you just flash directly from Wotanserver?
That the problem my friend, I also try gsmserver, and davinci, there no such support for brown prototypes, that why I ask for help.

SE PC Suite doesn't work with the X10. Sony Ericsson PC Companion 2.0 does though.
You are able to back your messages up to a SD card and sync your contacts to google. However, i am not sure about the application side of things.

Hello, I'm trying to debrand my HK x10i via SEUS. I get to the step where i navigate to the program files and DB folder after i run SEUS but the 100mb and 15 mb files are not there. I'm a noob so can anyone help me with this problem?
Also, do i have to use the HK generic firmware? or can i use the Nordic unbranded firmwares to get 23?

It has Hongkong generic R1FA014 files there. Do the steps again to get latest firmware if it is available for Hongkong.
If you want 23, Nordic generic is also there.

I might be wrong, but I'm not sure that method works any more as I too had the same issues, that the files weren't there, and I'm sure I read something the other day when I was trying to do mine that it no longer works, which is how I ended up coming here and using this method - Newbies Guide to Rooting X10 and giving you the newest firmware!

hi everybody I have tried to root my xperia x8 because i wanted to update the android version to 2.1 , i downloaded the superoneclick 1.5.1 and i did all the steps i've read here but at the end it says "FAILED the device was not rooted" and in my phone it appears the superuser aplication but i can't access to the root explorer because this message appears:"Root explorer has not yet managed to obtain root access.Because of issues with Superuser, this often happens the first time the app is run but is usually fine from then on."
I have no idea of what is happening , i did all the steps:i put my phone in debug mode , then connect the phone and click "root" and it is still not rooted :S
If someone can help i would be very happy , i'm about to become crazy :S

If you have android v1.5 Donut and you want to upgrade too android 2.1 just install PC Companion (Sony Ericson software that you get with the phone in the box) and let the aplication search for any update of firmware for X8.
actually i have 1.6 version i've tried to update it with pc companion but it says that it has the latest version....

You don't need to root your android to do the upgrade.. xD just upgrade with sony ericsson update service, and after that you can root your phone normally using 2.1 firmware..
Although, you need to substituite a file in superoneclick: "thecage.." to "neuter" but rename to the original.. (sorry if i can't explain well, but i'm portuguese and i'm 16.. xD) search on the forum or wait so i can post the zip file already working, because i don't have it on my phone..

You can flash with E15i firmware and then flash X8a baseband that you can find in thread in my signature bellow
...maybe there is a way to update with pc companion like he is in Europe...
And I read about updating from other country on development section.
Easy way it's changing the SI number so it solves it like a workaround, still i'm not sure if it provides his language (i think it does) after that he can even install froyo or ginger eh

well... actually i have the flash tool and i found this firmware "X8 Shakira E15i_2.1.1.A.0.6_generic.ftf" but my xperia has the e15a version if flash it with this firmware what would happen?
you should get android 2.1.... and to your root issues you should set usb on debugging mode and you mustn´t mount sd card just set charge phone instead.
so no matter if mi xperia is e15a and the firmware i would use in the flash tool is e15i

I got info that EMMA files are same SEUS use, and can be decrypted to sin files,
so I need some one who have access to it, I need US Generic for that devices:
LT15a, LT18a, R800a, E10a, X10a, I know that maybe some are here on XDA, but I don't thrust the SI numbers of them, anyway someone who use EMMA, can supply me some ROMS? I can pay $$$ if you want

what means RED and BROWN device?
RED, is device that SE sell to retailers and cellular networks, and private customers.
BROWN, are devices that for developers and testing purposes.
there also a BLUE, that just a brick, they not have IMEI or any software at all.
sometime people get Brown devices from eBay LOL.

I agree, just thought you had some more info. PC companion just said there is an update available when I connected my phone to the computer, downloading it now, but still nothing OTA.
