App to stream video from phone - Kindle Fire General

What is a good app to stream media from my phone to the KF? I use my Epic 4g Touch as a hotspot anyway, so connectivity shouldn't be a problem.

i use mx video player for streaming content - ok not from phone but from any resources in my network (nas and computers)
for me it's the best for streaming video
if connection is not a issue it should work for you too

will check it out
Only works for WiFi network

Your Fire can only connect via WiFi...so I don't see what the issue is.

The phone must be on WiFi as well. When using a hotspot the phone is on mobile network.

Best free music streamer?

Can anyone recommend a good free music streaming solution for the Desire Z? (i.e. to stream music from a PC server). I currently use Squeezebox Server, but I don't think there's a streaming solution for it so I'm looking for an alternative.
are you looking to do this over wifi or via 3G too?
Just wifi would be fine
you could try vlc stream and convert however the free version does not allow playlists. i dont think many free ones do to be honest.
have you used audiogalaxy? free & amazing.
here's the app download, but you need to get it configured on the PC side before installing the app if I remember right.
I stream in "high quality" mode via wwan or wlan without issue several hours a day.
Ive been using Amazon Cloud drive. Got 20 GB of storage.

how is that working? I've heard that there have been some streaming issues over mobile networks with it - is it functioning as it should for you?

[Q] HDMI out

Hi all, I was looking at my shift, and even though it says it doesn't have video-out capabilities I see that the charging port is micro-hdmi. Is it possible to buy a micro-hdmi to hdmi cable and watch netflix and stuff on my TV?
That's micro-USB, not micro-hdmi. You use it to connect to your PC or Mac.

There is that samsung media streamer that got posted on the portal awhile back. That would be the only way I think, and it would require you have a compatible samsung tv. Or you might be able to use one of those google tv devices to stream from your phone (was that one of the features? I forget)
I use imedia share to stream to my samsung tv. Can stream things already on your phone but not netflix.

Don't think it will work for Netflix , but it does work for the other stuff on your phone. You can give THIS a try, see if it works for you.

Install Twonky from the market. It works. Here i'll make it easy for you http://bit.ly/yg2XZY < Link to Android Market for Twonky.
You connect to your wi-fi router with the phone. You turn on your Playstation, make sure the PS3 is conencted to the same network either CAT5e or WiFi. You should see "twonky" servers in your main menu. Under the Pictures, Movies, Music icons.
and it will stream what ever is on your SD card to your PlayStation.

2.5 mb down is not good. It sucks actually.
I experience the same issue over WiFi and I have a 20Mb down connection. But when I'm using hspa I don't have any issues. Hopefully this will be fixed in a software update.

[Q] Streaming Apps that require WiFi

So the other day I was planning on using the Xfinity Player app lo and behold I forgot I can't stream unless I'm on Wi-Fi. Is there any way to make the app stream even if I'm not on WiFi and just use data? Not sure if there is already a question like this posted but I tried looking some up but no posts were found. I know its possible in some form of way since there are tweaks on iOS for facetime while using 3g even though you technically need Wi-Fi.
