Has it been made possible to root 2.3.4 as of late?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda premium
No. Only downgrading will work. IMO, gingerbread for our phone will never achieve full root and S-off... But I had to downgrade and its not that hard! Go here to downgrade. good luck.
Thanks if I helped

All of that should take 30minutes to an hour lol. Not days or weeks
The galaxy s series is so easy to root and flash ....all done without the need for a computer

Yeah but the mytouch 4g root with a computer is so much more worth it

No, after Gingerbread update you have to use a computer with ODIN to root, and once rooted, it's much more painful to flash the idiotic partition system of Galaxy S, requiring you to reflash bootloaders and kernels from PC before flashing the actual ROMs or even for backup restorations, being unable to flash kernel from recovery - because kernel contains the recovery. Actually, if there is a phone that requires PC almost for any type of flashing - that would be Galaxy S.
IMHO, as stated many times - if you can't follow a simple guide to downgrade and root your MT4G, you shouldn't be rooting anyway.

@jack_r1 makes a very valid point. rooting this phone when it had 2.2.x was STUPID easy. Easy and quick enough that i had it rooted before i left the T-Mobile Store, when i bought the phone.
The new method is simple. you downgrade then you use one of two VERY simple methods to root your phone.
If you cannot follow directions and need to rely on a one click root. Either based from the phone or on the PC then you shouldn't be messing with SU access.

That's what a clueless person would say, I guess. If you had ever tried to flash anything on Galaxy S type phone, you'd know. Pretty much all the ROM flashing instructions contain ODIN versions and instructions that require flashing at least bootloaders and mostly kernels too (see "Flash a stock Gingerbread ROM" step as an example), for a reason. Moreover, you can try flashing Gingerbread MIUI and then reverting back without ODIN. Good luck.
And whoever messed with rooting and flashing one phone, if he didn't just have to click "root" button on 1-click-rooter of some kind, but at least to work out ADB, wouldn't be afraid of rooting MT4G. I guess your mouth is going far ahead of your knowledge. It's good that rooting became complicated on all phones, because it keeps dummies from messing with things they don't understand.
This is what happens when one is having a friendly conversation with another and a third party joins in with a ” im better than you complex” and runs his/her trap and makes insults for no apperent reason all in his/her very first post .....if you cant be nice and put in helpful info without insult stay out kiddo......or buckle up and enjoy the ride....I dont care either way I deal with dumbasses on a daily basis and your not gonna find my nerve
lol
I dont let children and childish adults get to me lit-alone on a keyboard
Yes you can root and flash a galaxy s without ever touching a comp.
Yes in some cases odin is required, inwhich involves using a comp.....omg Im so sorry ..... Although that was further along than the conversation I was having with invasion....lol you just wanted to come here and play the ”all knowing” part and the ”im also a cyber tough guy” part wich are both laughable and pathetic at the same time.
Now you can stop your childish anticks and allow hair to grow on your balls or continue crying like a little girl.....either way im done with you youve already waisted enough of my time inwhich im certain you were not worth! :-D
Go ahead, feel free to make another attempt to make yourself feel big and bad.....after all thats what you came here to do in the first place.....and seeins as im giving you the oppertunity to have the last word.......nows your chance to turn it around or fail as you so boldly have.
Have a nice day kiddo
Or should I rephrase:
You posted without searching, one of, if not the most posted question on the forum. Then, when you got the response that indicated you as a not-so-brave person, you tried to start bragging to lift your self-esteem, taking this thread off track. Then, when you understood you've got caught bragging, you've read the regular line that shows on these forums 3 times a week - "if you can't follow the guide, you shouldn't be rooting anyway" as a personal insult - and got all cocky and started name calling. When you got paid with the same money, you still keep being cocky.
The funny thing is that I didn't write to catch you on your bragging, I couldn't care less. I just can't stand wrong info, which you happened to be spilling, so I corrected. This is not a private chatroom, there are no "friendly conversations" here. This is XDA-Developers, not XDA-group-hugging-team.

everything Jack_R1 said is absolutely true.
he is a very great helper, and many people respect him. if you don't have the quality of respect, then i'm sorry, but you must not have been taught any morals.
i COMPLETELY disagree with anything you said. Samsung makes the worst products out there. i mean seriously? WHY DO I NEED TO FLASH MY GALAXY S VIA ODIN OR WHATEVER GARBAGE TO GET A NEW ROM??? that's plain crap! pointless. you must not have very good experience with HTC devices.
let me show you how HTC does it:
Rooting
very easy and simple on most devices, main thing is to obtain S-off.
Flashing
even easier.
this procedure goes for every HTC device out there:
reboot to recovery
make a nandroid backup
wipe
flash
DONE.
what about Samsung?
oooh first you gotta flash the "bootloader" or whatever crap, then the "modem", then this, then that via ODIN, and then you gotta do this this and this, THEN you finally reboot into recovery and flash.
i will let you decide which you think is easier, but don't go about saying that i have "no idea what i'm talking about" because i do. my dad has a Galaxy S, and flashing to that device is complete crap. i don't know WHERE you got that info that "flashing to a Galaxy doesn't require a computer". BECAUSE IT DOES.
stupid ODIN...
anyway, back on point. if you think you're so great and pro, maybe YOU can make an easier way to root 2.3.4 Stock MYTOUCH. cause i think a lot of us would appreciate it. maybe then, you'll be worthy enough to be here. because all you've done so far, is fill up xda with your retarded garbage.

It sounds really complicated and risky, and some of the posts I've read seem to indicate that wifi tether might not work after installing froyo. I can live without flash on my phone, but wifi tether is my only at home source of internt and there's no way I'm paying Sprint's greedy asses thirty bucks a month for something android's capable of doing for free.

Its really not that difficult. Just backup your phone (boot into clockwork>backup+restore>backup), flash the new PIT+modem through Odin, and install quantumROM (or any other rom) from zip on SD through clockwork. No issues for me here. ^,^
Plus, you can always restore if something goes wrong or flash to stock and restore the data from your backup.
I'm pretty new to android and I was kinda worried at first as well, but seriously its not hard at all. I cringed when I first rooted my evo and now on to my epic and I'm not scared at all now. Rooting my phone was the best thing I've done to it and I don't regret trying. I know there are "risks" involved but as long as you read and follow the instructions posted in literally every post then you'll be fine. And flashing to froyo was way easier than I thought. I was gonna stay on 2.1 till the official 2.2 release came out but I can't leave stuff alone. And it was super easy! Odin worked exactly as described and flashing roms is a simple process. You just have to read and read again. So have fun and happy modding.

Nothing risky about it just need the capability of following simple step by step directions (seeming to become a rarity today). Most the people on here should have crapped their pants in the early days of android flashing SPLs to load roms that would have a high probability of bricking the phone requiring a JTAG repair to get working again.

request? I don't see a request from the OP, just him stating that he thinks it is risky to flash 2.2.1 and we were telling him why we didn't think it was risky. Is the forum getting so controlling that an opinion related directly to an OP's post is labeled invalid??? My post didn't call him any names or make fun of him, just stated that its a developers forum, not for people who can't live without problems.

Hello friends,
For reasons I do not even want to bother to understand, as I am on the waiting list for the Evo 3D and will never again buy any Samsung product, though I would like to have at least basic mobile phone capabilities until the end of June, my Epic has died. It got to the point I would have to remove the battery every 10 minutes and restart. I would get all these Touchwiz errors. So I decided to hard reset, at least so I could have a phone. I'll reinstall apps when I get my Evo 3D. So I removed the SD card, and went to Settings-Security and initiated a hard reset. That was four hours ago and the SAMSUNG logo is appearing as when you restart the device, and staying put. Is the hard reset this long? What should I do? This phone, which I've had since last fall, has been the worst experience of my life, and that doesn't even count the Froyo fiasco of a few months ago. Good riddance to Samsung. I bought a Moto Xoom, which has worked flawlessly over the past month on Honeycomb. It's nice to know that there are some Android devices that don't cause so much pain and suffering that you want to scream as does this horrid Samsung phone. But I need a phone for the next 2 and a half weeks before the Evo 3D makes an appearance, so I would dearly love to know what to do at this point! Thanks in advance.
Hard reset shouldn't take more than 3 or 4 minutes.
Is your phone rooted? Are you on a custom ROM? Do you know how to use ODIN?
Thanks.

Just need to mention that my first instinct was to criticize too. It comes from the tone and attitude of your original post. Most of us in this group like our Epics, and in my case it has been the best phone I have ever owned. I have found that the few problems I have had with it have come from my mistakes, installing poorly designed ROMS, etc. I'm back on the stock Sprint ROM and have a rock solid well performing phone. Maybe you have a lemon, but without knowing the history I'm not going to judge.
Anyway, best of luck getting the phone revived.
Got it to work.

I followed POIT's recommendations, and I have my phone back, worked like a charm, thanks. I understand the issues, but this phone has been a challenge. When I got it I was "promised" a 2.2 upgrade within weeks, quickly ran out of space with no ability to put apps on the SD card, and then what ensued was four months of FROYO chaos. Enough. I hope you all enjoy your Epics, shortly I'll be in Evo 3D land, and I think more content.
Once again, to those who helped, many thanks, especially POIT.

First off, when a person seems to know enough to go and root their phone yet doesn't bother to go about finding the information to setting it back to stock which is a sticky in the dev section, yes I'm going to make note.
When a person goes and creates problems for themselves and then wants to blame the product for their own inability to follow directions and be ready for a failure, that person needs to learn the hard way, I'm sorry ignorance should be painful.
Now, I wish I was being paid by Samsung, hell, I'd take a free WiThin, but alas I'm not, I actually came over from the EVO because I had too many issues with it.
I'm one of the first people to call a company out for a poor product or poor service, in this case the issue arrived from neither, the issue was your own doing.
I made some of the same mistakes and semi-bricked my Epic, I was able to Odin it back to stock by reading how to on this forum, not by posting a thread bashing the Epic because I was too lazy, impatient and ignorant to educate myself.

Your quote above speaks volumes about yourself. You do not spend your time assisting others, instead insulting them, calling them names. Apparently this community should be in reverence to someone of your self-described qualities. I am not lazy, a bit impatient, and not ignorant. Perhaps I don't have your skills in searching through archives, but I think the skill you might want to focus on for yourself in the future concerns developing social skills. Why would you want to contribute or be a member of a forum when instead of assisting you decide to deride? I have had many issues with the Epic these past nine months, and God forbid a little bit of my frustration bubbled to the surface. I am about to leave this forum for good (thanking again those who did assist me), and so there will be one less person for you to insult.

Use Odin. The hard reset wont help /system/ corruption (TW, etc.). You have to odin or flash a rom at this point. Pull battery, hold 1 on keyboard and power, set up odin/heimdall on computer, plug in phone, flash using odin.

You know you are the reason xda came to be. A massive community forged behind your products, and your old model of 'keeping things open'.
Xda has become a HUGE COMMUNITY.
you will become zero and lose your place in the US if dev HTC unlock continues to be the halfass joke that HTC made and that actually is more likely to screw HTC users. We need full unlock, then we can fix our own software, not rely on you.
I love HTC hardware, but I'm buying galaxy or something in about 10 days.
Please listen to our recovery builders and take into consideration the VALID points I KNOW they have brought to your attention. They know Android better than YOU, HTC.

I agree completely. It is sad to have one of the only manufacturers outside of Google phones that offer an "unlockable" product, yet see so many struggling almost more than without unlock!
Looking a device is understandable from both manufacturer and carrier points of view. When a grown adult, who spends their hard earned money on a device, wants to upgrade and develop their own software why lock them out? HTC will only benefit from the developer community as Android a a whole exists on the theory of open source. CID was found out explored and corrected all within this community and HTC got praise for it. Where is our returned gratitude?

Could you please clarify for me, and others who aren't completely sure, how this affects devs and users? For example:
1. Can I root?
2. Can I get superuser access and use SetCPU?
3. Can I flash a custom kernel?
4. Can I flash a custom ROM?
Those are some things I'm wondering. All I want development wise on my new toy is improved battery life, which I assume will come via kernel change or SetCPU. Does this seem possible?

Do you currently have your EVO with s-off?
The new bootloaders are locking us out from flashing the boot partition from recovery. This means that if you want to flash a ROM you need to flash the boot.img from the ROM through fastboot first, then enter recovery and flash the ROM. Also, you are blocked from flashing from system, i.e. flashing from inside the ROM, like using ROM manager or something like that. As for the kernel I am not so sure... but maybe, unless it is in the boot partition, which I actually think it is...
So, you will use htcdev to "unlock" your phone, then you can use:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Click to collapse
This will get your custom recovery, however your options from there are limited as stated above.
Then, to flash a ROM, you need to issue:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Click to collapse
Using the boot.img from the ROM, then enter recovery to flash the rest of the ROM... As far as I understand. Then you will be able to use recovery to flash su binaries gaining superuser access, if necessary.
So, really you are going to be tied to your computer, issuing a lot of fastboot commands just to update ROM's, this severely slows down, and complicates the process, however, it will still be possible.
This all stems from more of a frustration, that HTC is locking things down making hell for users to customize their own device. This is what some 3vo users and many Sensation users and almost all Rezound users are experiencing. With the One series there are many working on this but it is difficult and frustrating.
I do plan to get the EVO LTE, despite the turmoil, and am trying to quickly learn some dev work so I can be a contributing member to the community. Believe me there will be those that stick around, but to lose the likes of toastcfh and cyaniarb... that would be a major set back...
Viperboy has opted for the Galaxy Nexus, but may still come to the EVO LTE, which would be a big help as he has done some great work for locked HTC devices. Though, in the long run, we do need to let HTC know what we want and that we are valuable and indispensable as a consumer group.
Thanks a ton! That is very encouraging to hear that there are still ways to go about doing things, just not as easy to do them. Honestly, the only reason I am a flashaholic now is that there is nothing that satisfies all of my needs. I feel like the EVO 4G LTE will satisfy everything I am looking for, and I'll only need to do little tweaks instead of massive wholesale changes regularly.
Now that being said, I'm still not happy to hear it is making devs run elsewhere, because we need them to create stuff so we have an opportunity to tweak our phones, whether in terms of big changes or not. Is there a way we can draft an email together and everyone who cares on this site can send it to them? Kind of flood their email to send a message?

I went into there Facebook told them I'm the tech of the family and they ask me what's the next good phone told them to go with the iphone or Samsung since HTC is locking down yup I'm the one that convinced them to get evo's and evo3D in the first place. You see what they dont take into consideration is we tell people what's the next up in coming hot phone including me I could sway away 8 potential customers not one. Just my two cents

Someone from the One X thread, where toast laid out the rant I quoted, already submitted said rant to HTC Facebook page.
Another problem with S-on is you can't flash radios. And from what I've seen in the rezound forum, once you update your main version (or firmware), like 4.54 to 4.67 for the Evo, you can't go back. So I believe it you wanted d to test an ICS ROM, and it was buggy, you couldn't go back to GB (using Evo current situation for reference).
As for kernel, I'm not sure how that is affected. As for recovery, I've changed recovery on my Evo using terminal emulator, meaning from within system (android). That can't be done in the current state of development, hence the need for fastboot and to do everything from a computer. I'm not fond of that.
The best way to see the current state of affairs is to do some serious browsing in the one x and rezound forums to see what users are up against.
Glad to hear you're studying up imheroldman. I need to, too. Hell, idont even know how to use cmd prompt or fastboot or adb. Never had to with Evo. Lotta people gonna have to study up, it seems.
Unless HTC gets their **** together. **cough cough cold day in hell**

I tweeted it, not like any one follows me but ...
With HTC claiming boot and USB are locked out because of "security reasons" is their way of saying "screw you, we will only give you a worthless partial unlock and still void your warranty for using it" and the htcdev.com method flags the device so they know you used it so your warranty can't be "reinstated" by relocking your phone like when they exploit and turn s-off then returning s-on so they don't know reinstates your warranty as far as sprint or HTC are concerned. This is the reason HTC locks the bootloader and requires a tool to "unlock" it. Samsung doesn't lock the bootloader at all, they implemented what is called a custom binary flash counter which triggers a number increase when ever you flash a custom kernel that has been modified. And they put the recovery partition in the kernel so it triggers when you install a recovery. However there are ways to reset the flash counter so they can't tell you've modded your phone. I'm not a brand loyal person, I will go with whoever has the device I want. Which is why for now I'm using Samsung. The build quality while made of a plastic is solid, so solid in fact I spilled some water on my phone on accident and it didn't even seep under the battery cover, my evo was laying right next to it and it had water all inside the cover and enough to trigger the water marks. They have really improved their build quality since my intercept which left alot to be desired but it was also a very cheap budget smartphone to begin with. The epic touch and note are very well built pieces of technology they are solid, the joins are smooth where the pieces are attached or the battery cover meets the housing, and still extremely light weight. Even with my snap on hard shell on my et4g its so light I can't tell its in my pocket alot of times I always double check to make sure it didn't slip out.

The bad part is them claiming they did it for security reasons, it will be hard to get them to unlock something they are claiming they are doing for security. If we can get them to unlock it, its gonna take a lot of convincing. A better option would be to ask for detailed instructions on how to flash firmware to the device with their setup. Obviously they have to flash firmware via OTAs so if they would outline the ROA for the OTA firmware install we could use that to flash our customs
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
That is the second option that toastcfh laid out. Apparently that is what the G1 had, full documentation on how to flash firmware. This might be the ultimate option, seeing as they want things to be locked but give those who just want an unlock that ability and for those wanting to go further the opportunity and the tools to do so.
Hahahaha.
Just saw the same thing CM9 on One X
Just saw this in the Evo 3d forum. So yeah, that's encouraging. But, it doesn't have camera working, and I wouldn't be surprised if that remains the case, due to HTCs new image chip and closed code. Decisions decisions
Granted, this doesn't negate the frustration with S-on.
Edit: see what I did there imheroldman ? Thanks buddy.
Evil, what is the tampered watermark you speak of?

I think this is a great idea as well. Let's speak up!
Well, after some misinformed past rumors, I am finally leaving the Evo. I make this thread not because I feel like I'm 'important' or that anyone will care, but because of the community. Despite the past ICS fallout between users and developers, the Evo community has been one of the best on XDA, and can say that it was nice being apart of it. Made some good friends, and a few enemies, but comes with the territory. I'll still pop in from time to time, but I know I will see some of you in my new home, the Galaxy S III [will be here tomorrow]. Do keep the Evo name standing, as its a great device.

Best investment you can make on a galaxy device man, should be the first apps you purchase once you decide you're keeping the device. Yea Odin is a bit tricky at first, the things you'll probably have more questions with are the dreaded brick bug(idk if the sgs3 is plagued with that nuisance or not, I hope not) and how to avoid it, since its a permabrick if it hits you. The whole method of doing stuff on Samsung is just alien when coming from HTC. Took me a few weeks b4 I was back to flashing like a junkie again with out reading and rereading every step over and over prior to trying something new. I've had a few months with the sgs2 now so if you have questions about samsungs whole crazy zimage/recovery and how recovery is baked into the kernel and changes every time you change kernels I'm more than happy to answer em the best I can or point you in the direction of your answers atleast.

Much appreciated man, and actually been doing some reason: the kernel and boot image on the G S III were separated so its actually a lot safer to root. In addition I've looked up the G S III root [international version] and actually QUITE painless, even using Odin. Since there were minimal hardware specs, aside from processor of course, but I believe the root will be the same or extremely similar. I originally was going to buy the original galaxy S, but I refused to get the epic with a hard keyboard, so I went with the Evo; though not like it was a bad choice.

That's cool they seperated the kernel from the recovery now, on the ET4G there's no normal boot.img its called a zImage and has the kernel and recovery in the same partition so flashing a kernel changes your recovery. It can get quite confusing going from rom to rom and build to build and having to remember which recovery which backup was made with so you can Odin it to restore we still don't have official ICS or kernel source yet so flashing ICS roms requires first flashing a GB kernel with pure CWM to avoid a blue light of death brick. Talk about confusing, it took me a week of reading before I had the balls to try ICS but now I can mOdin el26+cwm kernel and flash ICS in my sleep. I've been running aokp since march never went back to gb except the few times I bootlooped and had to Odin to el29(latest GB ota) and start fresh. Once you get a feel for it and get any questions you have lingering out of the way its painless but the first few times you're sweating missles waiting to it to flash and boot and praying you didn't just brick, LOL. My first venture to ICS I chewed off all my nails while flashing it, I was so nervous I forgot something and was gonna fry my eMMC chip and be bricked.
ETA: what's even worse for me is I have 4 different manufacturers devices all different methods of flashing and its hard keeping it all straight, going from HTC, to Amazon to Motorola to Samsung and trying to remember which one you flash how is an exercise in frustration :banghead:

Its just a pain in the ass for recovery, only because every time you change kernels if the new one has a different recovery your recovery then changes. On the et4g we have cwm, rogue and acs custom recoveries, and not all backups are compatible across all recoveries so you gotta try and keep track of what goes with what since we have to use the el26 kernel with pure cwm recovery to safely flash ICS without bricking I use it for everything recovery, but that requires me to Odin the el26 kernel everytime I need to do something in recovery and since I run ICS I then have to flash an ICS kernel to reboot my phone. Its more of a hassle/annoyance than anything just cuz of all the extra steps required to flash/backup etc

so I have a bricked MF3 build.
I've read up and down, and at this point it can't be fixed. bootloader locked, etc.
I had an idea of flashing the 4.3 leak onto the S4 in hopes of fixing the /system/ partition since only one file is messed up that is causing the phone to bootloop.
if I could locate the 4.3 leak -- will it fix my soft-brick?
hypothetically speaking it should, right?
all directions that speak of flashing the file ask that the phone be ON the MF3 baseband.
is the odin file for JWR66V on the i337 signed so that I could flash it in Odin and get my phone working again?
sounds like it should work, please any input?
Nope. MF3 baseband is the modem needed. That can be flashed to MDL. The MF3 OTA completely locks your bootloaders... You're screwed.

Needed for what? graydiggy, please fix that partial sentence "That can be flashed to MDL."
Solidus636 might be screwed like you say, but your answer leaves me wondering why.
That is not a partial sentence. OP cannot flash anything on the MF3 firmware update.
The MF3 baseband can be separately flashed onto MDL. At that point, one would be able to flash 4.3.
Since there is no way to flash using MF3, OP goofed.

Why are these people that took the OTA MF3 update from AT&T trying to flash in the first place?
How are they getting root or a recovery? It makes no sense to me.

Thanks, I read up on getting root for MF3 OTA and it says right up front CAUTION THERE IS NO RECOVERY
and rooting looks like it's more complex, I remember the Android Debug Bridge, and I'm glad I was able to get in early with motochopper and then casual and I'm pleased with the GoldenEye Rom. Just a tap and a swipe bar in the TWRP recovery. I see how I dodged a bullet back in June when I froze AT&T Update service with Titanium Backup. I'm lucky. And it took me a long time to grasp all the terminology and what the difference is between root and getting a custom recovery, and I'm sure that it's not the amount of reading one does, but rather comprehension. That's why when I print in here I try not to leave anything out.
Whiz kids like yourself forget what it's like to wonder if there is a difference between installing a zip or flashing one and could care less on articulating the details you take for granted.
There's not a fix in the world for solidus636's handset cuz he blew the E fuse huh? Not sure what that is and barely understood it when I read about it.
I loathe AT&T. Now they locked the bootloader. What a bunch of creeps. I almost didn't get the S4 because of the shrunken SIM but I found an adapter so I can light up all those old phones in my gun safe. It's how I roll. I would never buy a handset you couldn't pull the battery on. And everytime I see a new connector plug I go on a rant about UL listed and deregulation. Instead of making a one size fits all battery, almost every device has a different shape size and fit.
Ok all done complaining now. Beg pardon for bending your ear. I think you like it tho, and will find something to be smart alec about.

i Rooted the phone.
then i messed with the /framwork-res.apk and accidentally renamed it to /framework-res.apk.bak and now there is NO framework-res.apk file inside /system/framework/ meaning i am soft-bricked until I can get the MF3 Odin file or a file higher than that....
i also didn't accept the RSA keys to default to accept on my computer, meaning I can't access ADB it says OFFLINE. if I could access ADB this would've been an easy fix by renaming the framework-res.apk.bak file back to framework-res.apk, but I messed up:/

You are educated and knowledgeable beyond my own level of intelligence. If I could help I would. If anyone comes up with a petition for a class action against AT&T for locking their bootloader I'm all in. Too bad you can't boot all the way up and get root explorer to fix your file name.

The only posts I have seen from you are trying to get people to file a class action lawsuit against AT&T and to start petitions. Why don't you either shut the hell up about it or do it yourself.
First:
AT&T does not have to provide unlocked bootloaders . Those are not open source. They can do whatever they damn well please with THEIR bootloaders. A lawsuit would be fruitless.
Second:
Stop trying to get people to do what you want. If you want it, do it yourself. If you are too lazy to do it, shut your mouth. You sit here and preach all this BS but are too lazy to even sign a petition that was linked to you. You act like you're 12. Only a kid would put forth so much talk but absolutely no action.
I will start reporting every post from you that has anything to do with you trying to get people to do what you want in regards to this topic, if i see one more. I and many others are tired of seeing it. You are spamming the forums with it.
OP Google the odin file you are looking for or use the search function here in the forums

An EXCELLENT scolding! I KNEW you would find my prattle fodder for discussion!
You're dead wrong however, as I am busy.
I have a day job being a g*[email protected] lineman that I won't bore you with, but something up your self righteous research and document alley would be the web page that I constantly try to improve: http://lango.us
If they start the revolution, it might be without you and your own laziness, but I do not intend to be counted out.
So go ahead. Tell me to shut the hell up again.
I bet you're a profile picture of a Libtard.

Congrats on being nothing to me. I could care less how busy you are or what you do. I also noticed you brag about being a lineman... Cool story, bro. Another worthless piece of info. You sound like a conspiracy theorist. Everyone is out to get you, man. We gotta get this revolution rolling, bro. I don't even care to look at the link. I'm too busy with the real world. So... With all that said, shut the hell up. (see? I said it again.) No one cares. If you want to start a revolution, keep it off of XDA. This is not the place for your political agendas or views. This is not the place to get people to join your uprising against AT&T or anyone else for that matter. Take it to Facebook.

This really did work, thanks! Only allows booting into the os and trying factory reset doesn't work but arty least I can use it again until a fix for mf3 is found.
Yup.. I fell right into that trap too... just happens when you think about it too much. Just be happy with your phone and live with it till a dev can make it better in the future.
