Not completely without lags but it's playable. Dead Space is really a great game and you can download it for free in Samsung's Appstore.

Worked on my SGS+ pretty much lag-less, not OCed, Brood ROM RC2 and updated graphic drivers. That said however GTA3 hangs my mobile pretty much every single time during gameplay so that the restart is neccessary after few mins of gaming...
Asphalt 6 is choppy depending i think on which Govorner and I/O you use.
ive found that onDemand and SIO is best for Asphalt 6.
i couldnt play it on a totally stock rom because it was too laggy but with the Galaxy W drivers it was much better.
Real racing 2 works!!

Nova?? I have tried 2 different versions but didn`t work... where did you get it! don`t post the link just give a hint
For some games we should also list the version numbers which have been confirmed to run.
For example, I bought Asphalt 6 from gameloft.com (which they list as compatible with the i9001) and the version they provided me with was 1.0.4. Unfortunately it did not run and always crashed after the intro video. I then found out that version 3.5.5 runs without problems.

im using Asphalt 6 1.0.8, how do you get it to version 3.5.5 ?
9mm hd works fine without any lags v1.0.2, other versions give pink graphics, modern combat 3 works fine no lags (Android market v1.0.1 )
Games like mc2 and mc3 have now been optimized specially for snapdragon chips,
after testing mc2 on i9000 and i9001, the snapdragon version works much smoother with slightly different but better textures.
Can anyone help me i can't see gta 3 in the market ?? i really want this game

Actually version 3.5.5 is an older version. Blame Gameloft's illogical versioning schemes...

Gameloft always used build numbers starting with v3.x.x (sample: v3.1.6) but since Q2 2011 they started with build numbers 1.x.x (sample v1.0.2). To avoid confusion v1.x.x is always the latest/best version to use

Im running hyperdroidGBX v12 on nand.
I have chainfire 3d and has the nvidia plug in too. I cant seem to find the other two plugins though.
anyway I manage to install gangstar 2 and sacred odyssey. both are working well.
then asphalt 6 and modern combat 2 says my device isnt compatible for the game.
How do I fix this or bypass that note? I know it can run those games.

I mentioned this briefly in another thread; It's because each game has different versions and each version will only work on certain devices.
eg. v1.0.1 will work on desire/bravo, v1.0.2 will work on Samsung Galaxy S and v1.0.3 will work on Motorola Droid X.
(These are examples but the point is made)
On the HD2 you need to find the version of the game which was designed to run on the Bravo/Desire (Dependant on ROM port but should be close enough).
I dont use chainfire3d anymore (Tried with all 3 plugins) and I have now found versions of all the games I want to run without any extra "drivers" or mods
I am attaching a list which guided me in finding the compatibility of games to devices!

Dungeon hunter 2 ran great on 3.2.1 ... stock rom... but now that I've updated to to ics... it says dungeon hunter 2 has stopped when I try to run the game. I deleted the d2hp SD data directory and let it re download, and it gave the same message. Any ideas?

Neither Dungeon Hunter or Adrenaline will work with ICS. At least that's what I'm thinking. Gameloft probably needs to update the game to play nicely with ICS.
I've been having this issue for over a month now.
Asphalt 6 Adrenaline, version 1.0.9, works fine on my a500 (which runs ICS since several weeks).
9mm HD too...
Even Real Racing 2 (from EA games) runs on my A500 but with some failures in the menu : the sizes of some windows in the menu are too large - except when zooming, but it means losing the beauty of the images when doing so.
please, put ONLY the games which work on ICS and what kernel and version did you use.

a quick advice to all gamers - as we have to change thr name to desire hd, we can download sd data manually from net . they can easily be googled by name of desire hd ( most common gaming phone ) .
these data are compressed well and can be used anytime . i mean you dont have to download everytime you change rom . eg - asphalt's sd data is around 1 gb but i downloaded a 450mb rar file and works great .

The same with AngryBirds.

Fruit Ninja runs great here.
regardless of what I do I can't get asphalt 6 to work.

I have tried "Real Racing 2". It works for 1-2 minutes then drops to home screen. Used to work on ICS 2.02. Is there anyone working without problem on 3.0beta

lol, that's strange.. anyways, what really matters is that it plays now!
I've tested some more games for the list:
All for ICS 4.0.4 Aurora 2.11a update2, kernel 3.0.8
Quake 3 (ported for android and works very well, 40~60fps all the time)
Dead Space v1.1.37 (working with awsome graphics)
FPSE - Final Fantasy IX (works like a charm)
Eternal Legacy v1.0.7 (doesn't work... crashes on first battle)

Try miroslav_mm's CM7 build or jelly bean
CM 7.2 has rendering from ICS, jelly bean is smoother with some games (fruit ninja, angry birds etc.)

Currrently i'm using Stroke Rom, far better till the date.... With no problems at all. Played Angry Birds / Asphalt 5 / fruit ninja {note: had to use chainfire 3d for better graphics & higher versions of asphalt didn't worked so gave up}. Still waiting for better things to get a working game of frontline commando. not got it yet.

My recent favourite has been Demon Hunter 3. Too bad multiplayer needs wifi. Easy Diablo clone to kill time on the bus
Also a bit off topic but what is your rom & kernel configuration for Temple Run 2? I have only played it with CM10 with several different kernels. Best seems to be latest Phenom kernel, but still game suffers a bit of random lags, especially when you get far. Sometimes makes you just wanna throw your phone to that wall I wonder if it's the alpha JB snapdragon drivers that are causing random FPS drops. Is it more playable in GB or ICS?

have you already tried a 3.4 kernel - like Nexus v9.1? I dont have lags with this kernel, but perhaps i don't get that far.
A alot of people are saying that it is the alpha stage gpu drivers that qualcom hasn't updated. Even though you score good 6500ish on antutu, many high end games will lag. So it is a general problem with all JB roms and kernels for now. Qualcom drivers for ICS and GB should be better. I haven't installed CM9 yet, but have to try it at some point I guess.

And btw, I have a problem. I can't play any Modern Combat with my S Plus. Play store says that my phone isn't compatible I think it might have something to do with my ROM. I flashed CM10 Beta 3 by Ivendor and then incompatibility problems started. They all worked fine with 2.3.6 gingerbread. What could be the problem? Thanks in advance
