Hi, Are there any way to have blurhome from froyo in gingerbread blur roms? I really like 2.2 design but I hate the blurhome 2.3.
Thx in advance.
No Suggestion? Assuming there is no way.
Motorola as a company policy ,.,, did not release blur in many countries.... infact the back cover of defy also is without blur embeded

Are you talking Indian phones? I believe the majority of Defys have Blur and it is imbedded on the back cover of my phone. FWIW

Any word on when this will come to the N1?
The Desire has it today and in my book is the largest plus for the Desire when comparing it to the N1. I could care less about Sense UI, actually.
Edit: Actually the Desire doesn't have it, so I am just foaming at the mouth, it seems. Still, it would be a nice update.

Not the solution I am looking for. As it is in alpha that's not a good day to day ROM, even according to the developer. It introduces bugs I am not willing to live with (blue tooth, camera, etc) and like I said, I really don't want the Sense UI. Maybe once the ROM is fully functional and past the alpha stage I'll give it a try if I can disable Sense and still get what I want.
I think the solution for the N1 involves a kernel update and is not something Adobe can just "release". The Nexus One was supposed to be getting updates faster than anyone else (since they are coming from the Android source itself - Google) but in this case, that's clearly not so.
So my original question remains - does anyone know anything about when the N1 will get an update including Adobe Flash Lite?

I think here, the release is dependent more so on adobe, and not on google, seeing as they are the developers.

It doesn't appear that way, since HTC has released it on the Desire. It looks like Google is dragging it's feet on an N1 update. Are you suggesting that HTC has some exclusive agreement with Adobe? That would be a first.
Does the Desire even have Flash 10.1? I thought it had HTC's flash lite 4.0, and we were all still waiting for 10.1? Please correct me if I am wrong, but running the shipping version of Desire on my N1, and I am not experiencing flash 10.1... I am experiencing flash lite 4.0, though.

Correct.
The OP's "Adobe Flash Lite 10.1" makes no sense.
There is Flash Lite 4
And Flash 10.1
No combination of the two.

Oh really? Since you haven't tried it, how would you know?
I've been using the Desire ROM for about 6 weeks now, and plenty of others have been as well.
Don't knock it just because YOU haven't tried it.

I stand corrected about the Desire having Flash 10.1. Evidently, it is Adobe holding things up.

I am going on what was posted by Paulobrien regarding the rom - that it is alpha, and that there are issues with Bluetooth and camera implentation.
paulobrien said:
Known Issues
Bluetooth does not work reliably
FM Radio finds stations but does not produce any sound
Footprints camera view is rotated 90 degrees
SMS over 160 characters are not sending successfully - urgently investigating!

If the Desire doesn't have Flash 10.1, then what functionality am I gaining in exchange for reliable bluetooth and a properly functioning camera?
If these items have been corrected, then perhaps post #2 of the Desire rom threads need to be updated.

See comment 151. I wonder why you need a lot of RAM for that. So I guess only the Nexus One and the Milestone and the future high end Android phones will be able to display animated gif.

5.0.6? And in the browser?
Does it support only in the browser? Or will it support it in the gallery too.

The changelog for Cyanogen rom is here: http://github.com/cyanogen/android_vendor_cyanogen/blob/eclair/CHANGELOG
Looks like he took Google's source and added it to the browser, but it doesn't say anything about animated .gifs in mms's

Oh well i just remember I came from Cricket and a samsung messenger (I didn't need a smartphone back then) and it always looped the gif, and played it in the gallery. I kind of miss that lol.
They work perfectly in the browser. Don't know about just normal gallery..

I will likely never run another rom other then the one from Google.
I played the whole rom game on Windows Mobile and it never made me happy.
I'm not doing it with my beautiful Nexus One

Then you shouldn't expect the updates at the same rate rooted owners get them, you get major updates fast compared to the likes of iPhone OS and Web OSs

Is there any stable 2.2 rom in the stock?
No 2.2 as yet, but there may be one (or more!) very soon -- from China and/oe Japan. Whether they'll work on any/all the European Blades without any modification remains to be seen. But if you want 2.2, MoDaCo has a very usable Alpha 4 based on the pre-release Froyos.

I think Orange in UK has responsibility to release offical 2.2 rom for their customers. Most of the other brand name android phone are going to release 2.2 rom upgrade for their customers at the end of this year.
Did the links work for you?
I just wanted to download the ok-mobile rom as a backup. Just in case i should get a hardware issue during warranty time....
But I always get a 404 error or a not allowed.
Thx in advance

We've had mixed messages from Orange about 2.2. Perhaps they'll go straight to 2.3, assuming they bother at all!
The only European provider that has indicated they'll soon be doing a 2.2 for their version of the Blade is the Greek one. But AFAIK it's not confirmed and it's vaguely coming "in the New Year".
Wind announced that Greek version will get an official froyo update in the beginning of 2011

I have no background news or previous details but I would've thought Orange will not be that bothered about a pay-as-you go phone they are selling for less that £100 (at least here in the uk)?
That's one of the reasons I got it; it does some amazing things considering the price. Ah well, wait and see I suppose...

I think you may be mistaken, 1 gig will be the minimum requirement for 3.0. There is no minimum for gingerbread afaik.
The confusion may have came from when gingerbread was fist announced and we all thought it was 3.0, at around the same time the system requirements for 3.0 were released.

Could someone please reupload the finnish stock rom (onevstarting with EFI). I'm in desperate need in returnig to stock rom because I noticed my ZTE Blade has a yellow tint at the bottom of the screen and I can't replace the handset with custom ROM.
All help much appreciated.
Has anyone successfully made the screen shutdown animation work on the leaked gingerbread rom? I see posts in other device forums for a modified framework-res.apk that enables it on stock roms. Anyone know of one for the Evo?
I'd personally like a framework-res that enables the battery % and shutdown animation without any other changes, but would happily settle for one that just enables the shutdown animation.
A buddy of mine was all excited about how he got the 2.3 update for his DroidX. He was super-pissed when he realized they didn't include the screen-off/on animations, haha

I thought those animations were 2.3 aosp only. If they could have been ported to 2.3 sense wouldn't someone have done it already?

I thought it was a defacto feature?
i thought they came in with the package too. man that sucks!
Don't have an answer for you, but I'm amazed by just how much I love those animations. They seem like such a small little thing, but it puts a smile on my face every time I turn my phone on or off.

For whatever reason, it seems that HTC and Motorola (and probably Samsung) didn't want to include it in their updates.

Is ICS likely to be available on the Defy+? I'm thinking of buying one, but would like to know first.
Cheers
Google said, that all devices with stock Gingerbread, should got ICS ... but who knows ... I hope so. But I guess, it should have - Moto is part of Google, so why not.
Of course moto got bought by Google. But this doesn't mean Google will get involved to the politics of moto. I hope you'll understand what I'm triying to say xD.
