Well, I got a second kindle fire, and I noticed something... the color temps are different. This is very annoying seeing I am used to the cool temp, and not the warm temp. I hope this isn't a widespread issue, and just isolated to me.
Here's a pic:

(the new one doesn't look as 'warm' in real life)
Even tried backing up my original kindle and restoring on my new one, and it's the same.
Changing the render effects in CM7 doesn't make it look anything closer either.
Does anyone else have this issue?
my kindle fire'color temp like the left one.

Call customer service and have them replace the new one. There've been other threads with similar comparisons and something isn't right there.

does anyone remembering seeing a phone like this that was seen with a either google or t-mobile excutive
no, but they probably saw an early prototype of the g1 which looks similar to that and made a mockup of that...meaning the executive's "g1" either looked like that, or it looked similar to the current g1 but the person who saw it and did the mockup didn't get a clear view of it and improvised the bottom.

YES!! i never thought the day would actually come where i could say i own the google phone. it seems like i have been following this phone (and android itself) for years.
How do I test for the color on my Nexus 7 to make sure its up to par and not yellowish or anything? I mean as far as I can tell its not but I want to make sure so I can replace and get the best tablet I possibly can.
I would just say if it looks good to you and pictures and movies look similar to how they do on you computer its fine. The problem worth looking for is screen lift.
Take a picture of a magazine with a good camera. Send it to your n7 and see the difference.
Please report feedback.
Put this message up on both your computer monitor and the Nexus, and compare:

Has anyone encountered this before.
It happens or is most visible on dark areas of the screen and gives off a twinkling effect when scrolling. I have tried different Roms, Kernels and resorting to stock but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.

wow. thats strange. if it was a physical defect (as in the LCD is damaged) then it wouldnt translate over to the screenshot. so it must be software related...but youve changed roms....this hurts my head a little bit. can you RMA it?
oh wow, that reminds me of what would happen when i overclocked my video card too high on my old computer. i would definitely say thats a hardware malfunction... a legitimate RMA
So I recently bought an lg g2 and I've been noticing this weird faded black dot on my pictures. I thought it was the thingy you get when you use flash but I didn't use flash. Tried wiping it a few times though, might be stuck inside. But how the hell did it get inside if it was something.

This happened to Marco Agas from my color screen (themer launcher creator). I don't know if he found a fix, but many said that it was likely some dust that got in there after he dropped it the other day. Check out this post on g+ and see if he ever found a solution.

I need help with my Note4's display. I paid a local phone repair shop to fix the cracked glass. when I got the phone back things looked different. most noticeably everything looked washed out, kinda greyish. I took it back to them and they replaced lcd. they said there was nothing more they could do and blamed the issue on the software. I reloaded the original firmware and the phone is now completely stock. I made a test pic with some gradients that confirmed my suspicions. the first pic attached, test2, is my phone side by side with a friends phone displaying the second pic, test. does anyone know what possibly went wrong?
