according to reports it will have a locked bootloader. not sure I'll be getting it at all - might as well wait another couple of months for the next nexus.

Oh yes, been waiting for it. It was either the G2X or the sensation. I'm going with the Sensation.
It's almost like the MT4G, except dual core and a bigger screen. But it's all good. I can't wait!

Why not just wait for the mytouch 4g slide?

I recently got my MT4G and wont be getting this...Guess I will wait for the Quad-Core android devices in 2013!
This phone should be good enough till then, or I can buy one from ebay and put it on the contract I have and sell the MT4G.

How can you guys manage to pay for phones like that? I mean, the earliest you could have gotten the mt4g was like what, 7 months ago? Do you pay full price for them or trade in your current phones or something?

These guys are trillionaires they can get things quickly, I wish I was so lucky to get a new phone that often . But I like my MT4G and I can always put Sense 3.0 or 3D on this thing

not true, I upgraded to the samsung vibrant back in july after it came out, then the mt4g dropped and so i bought it full price, which was like $400 and then sold my vibrant for $350 on ebay, so out of pocket it costed $50 for the "upgrade", so not trillionaires, just smart shoppers lol

true, if you keep a phone in great condition you can get a good resale value. as for me, I upgraded my sidekick 08 to the mytouch 4g and it cost me around $200 and Im keeping it as mint as possible

Yeah its pretty easy to sell a phone on Craigslist or eBay for a good amount then go purchase a new one at full retail.

I was only joking, i've been doing that with old phones when i see something new. Went from Instinct-->SK09-->G1-->MT3GS-->MT4G
But I had to get a contract to get the cheaper price, so now i have to keep this and cant sell it

Like i said, I work for an indirect dealer. I have my tricks, but get 3 or so phones on New contract price over a yeat

Guys, DO NOT GET THE SENSATION, get the g2x instead the sensation has a arm a8 processor (even though it's clocked at 1.2ghz), compared to the g2x's arm a9(clocked at at 1ghz), so it's actually a better processor, regardless of all the other specs.

So I am selling my Evo and jumping to the 3d thanks to Sprint granting me an early upgrade. I just wanted to get some opinions from you guys if my price on CL is fair or not, I am asking $250. Honestly, the phone looks brand new. There is no cosmetic damage whatsoever. Been having a hard time pushing it on CL though and was hoping to order the Evo3d early tomorrow morning.

I guess I will see what happens, worst case scenario I will. Just really wanted to order it early tomorrow online so I know I will have one. If not I am sure I could sell it by friday, pretty firm on the 250 but worst case I would probably go to 200.

Why don't you give ebay a check? I know, if i were to sell my MT4G i would sell it nothing short of 250, $230 at the least being its with mint condition and it has the "good" screen.

Thanks.I already checked on ebay.Noop.In here MT4G is lower than 230$.I saw for 200$ on ebay.But the shipping cost is high.

on ebay around 180 to 200
on here however 150-180 though i saw a couple sold for 125

ya its pretty safe i used paypal, also sellers might be willing to deal. the way it works is seller pays shipping and 10 dollar fee to swappa. i bought a sensation from there no issues at all good luck.

very true i bought mine of craigslist for $190 in very good condition and i bought my girlfriend's off it for 200 in mint condition more or less

Thanks for letting me know.But I already bought a HTC Barvo few days ago.I really wanted a MT4G.But it was hard to find one.Then I found a bravo.My gf told that she likes bravo too(I was looking a mt4g for my gf).So i bought it.

I guess I am Super lucky... My bro n law switched from ATT to Tmobile and got 2 new MT4G's. Used them for 2 weeks, and switched back to ATT. He sold me both of them for $80. Also Im not much a beleiver in the "good screen" or "bad screen" because I have had 4 MT4G handsets, all of which had the "bad" screens but they all were very vibrant and colorful...like looking at HD. Anyway, just wanted to say that MT4G are still one of the best handsets around imo....

General Thinking about buying used MT4G to bring to Europe...

Hi all.
I am thinking about picking up a solid, older model android phone to bring with me to Germany. I am moving there in a couple weeks and will immediately get a German prepaid sim (probably Simyo).
I have read a ton of good things about the MT4G and I think they run about $150 or so used. Just wanted to hear any opinions on whether or not you think it's a good idea or if I should look into another phone as well.
I would also love some help on what to look for when buying one of these used. I remember reading somewhere that some cpus are better than others. How do I know?

I would look into other phones. But if $150-$200 is your budget, go for the myTouch. If not, I'd try for one of the new HTC One Series (One S, One X, One XL). Very nice phones. Hope this helps you in your decision

I have seen a few Sensations sell for right at $200, not too bad of condition either (battery backing all scuffed up, light nicks around the bezel- easily covered by a case or buy a new backing) but the MT4G is still a good choice for under $200

Not the best phone on the market, but for a almost 2 year old phone ain't bad at all

Non-existent. They are amazing screen protectors and it is difficult to even tell you have one on when it sets.

Yes this is tru. If your half way decent with wet install protectors, you will be fine. Had one on a T959 awhile back and you could not even tell it was installed.

I'm glad you appreciate it They really are the only SP company that gets my business unless I can find a cheap Zagg.
The customer service is also great. When I had my unlocked Droid 3, they accidentally sent me a protector for a Droid 2 (it looked like) all I had to do is contact them, and with no questions asked they sent me not 1, but TWO replacements for the D3.
The only other issue I ran into was when I ordered one awhile back for my Atrix HD, it must have gotten wet or something in the envelope and was stuck to the instructions they provide. Again, all I had to do was contact them and they took care of me :good:
Their excellent customer service, price, and quality keeps me coming back for SP's for all of my and my gf's devices!

I got mine today in the mail (well yesterday but checked the mail today) and I'll start first by saying they feel really durable...which is good.
On that note, though, they are BY FAR the most pain in the @ss protectors I've EVER tried to apply in my entire life. I gave up on the Kindle Fire one and just left it slightly off on the screen protector. It's manufactured to go to the EXACT edge, which sure you can argue is a good thing, but it makes it nearly impossible to apply correctly. I'm a perfectionist, and I usually can get these things on by the 2nd or 3rd attempt and get them perfect. The GS3, just the back cover, I literally spent so far about an hour and a half applying it. Just finished, finally, after many many curse words. Debating even bothering doing the screen portion for my GS3.
I told my wife she has to do her own because I'm going to end up throwing her phone.
