I have rooted, flashed a new rom and then flashed back to a stock rooted rom.
My questions are:
Is my rom a UK one?
Is there a seperate UK one to USA?
It is currently Acer_A500_7.014.02_COM_GEN2
If it isn't UK, does anyone know where I can get the actual UK one.
I would just like to be sure I can return it back to stock should I ever need to return under warranty.

I need to reset my I9000 to stock so i can send it away under warranty, which ROM should i flash it with?
It came with Branded T mobile startup screen.
Thanks
There is no branded 2.1 rom you will need to wait for froyo. I have a back up of the non branded t-mobile rom but not the branded rom.

I see, i only want to send it back for gps issues with a hope to get a different handset so i dont mind waiting.
If i wait for the froyo release should that not be branded on the upgrade?
Also would i need to change my rom to the appropriate version?
Ta for the reply.

If you cannot see on your screen what's going on as it is broken, flashing stock via Odin seems to be your best bet. You should be able to find the right one for your country on sammobile.
Turn off phone then boot into download mode (power+volume down)
Give it a minute then press volume up.
Connect to Odin.
Put .tar image in PDA section and press start.
It will say pass in Odin when it's done.
That's it, easy.

really? how long would i know before its done? and if i just put a sim in afterwards would it ring with out all the setup? just so i could check its working?
The screen is broken so it would cost me £150 to repair or sell it for £80 to recycle site as it is but with out custom roms.
or sell it on ebay for maybe £100?
Im now trying to find the right tar file thing!
the phone was a EE provided one but i unlocked it so should it be flashed with BTU or just the EE firmware which is I9505XXUAMDD for and old one or I9505XXUFNC4 for a new one.
thought it would be better on a old firmware knox purposes as this phone is pre knox
Anyone help with what version?

i don't think that will be a problem if it is to repair your screen..it'll be a problem when you send to repair your phone software.
Mazumma will give me about 60 for it. But would imagine it needs stock firmware

In all honesty, I'd load Odin on your PC and the flash the Official Samsung Rom from Sammoble. Touchwiz is pretty good these days and has been fast on my T715 for the last 2 years. If you intend to use this tab without LTE, remember to turn on Airplane mode and then wifi. If you don't it may drain the battery looking for a signal etc.

You don't need to get the tablet unlocked and any firmware you download from Sammobile and install using Odin doesn't affect your warranty.
When looking on Sammobile, just look for the latest firmware that's UK or failing that, O2. The UK firmware contains less bloat of course. Once flashed, just use Nova laucher or Google Now Laucher to get that stock feel. :victory:

I'm confused as to your intentions. Do you want to root your device or update it?
If want to update it then just go into settings and tap software update.

You need to make a decision on whether you are prepared to possibly void your warranty. Flashing anything custom trips KNOX and can potentially void the warranty.

I am completely fine with that, It is a second hand unit any way so is probably out of warranty any way. I have flashed plenty before but never samsung, so never had to deal with odin and knox, also with there being loads of different model numbers it is a bit confusing which roms can go on which tabs.

That's what I am looking for. Am I correct in thinking that the only one I can use is the lineage that has been built for the tm-819? Or can I use any of the others?
Really appreciate any help.

If you choose to stick with Samsung stock and don't root, I'd go with this on Sammobile using Odin. https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-tab-s2/SM-T819/BTU/download/T819XXU2BRB2/212254/
Hi
I need to return my S5 to stock firmware so that I can return it to the people I bought it from. I'm looking for the unbranded stock firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus SM-G901F for the UK.
On sammobile, the only UK firmware is for EE:

Does anyone know which one I should go for?

Don't think it will make much of a difference, but you might as well just grab the latest one, even though it is over a year old. It is probably what would be on the phone if you had done an OTA update. I would be more concerned if you accidentally tripped Knox along the way and the people you are returning it to care about such things. There is no way to un-do that, short of replacing the board, but it also may not matter. Good Luck.

Thanks for this but the links are dead in your first link and the second doesn't seem to link to any roms (unless I'm doing it wrong)
Hi, can someone share some light on how and what I need to change my ROM on my phone.
It's currently on three UK ROM with its three branding and I want to use a standard ROM without all of this branding.
But I don't want to upset Knox or bugger warranty up if this is possible.
Thank you
