" Void" sign on back inside cover of Wildfire - Wildfire General

Hey everyone,
Just yesterday as I opened the back of the Wildfire I noticed on the lower left corner (with the back being the screen ) a small opening like a screw opening. But inside the opening it said "VOID" . Anyone know what this is or anyone have the same thing? I will post screenshots when I can get to a desktop.

If the VOID sticker is peeled off, then say goodbye to your warranty. So leave it alone; every Wildfire has it.

It's a general feature on almost all consumer electronic devices, where almost all of them have some sort of a sticker over a port / screw. It's there to prevent you from disassembling your device in any "unauthorized" manner. (If you care about your warranty, obviously)
(Mine has it as well. Remove the backcover, and the bottom-left screw (Just below the SDCard Slot / Silver bar of the battery below the point of contact) has this sticker)

I know where it was! Lol

So you disassembled your device already?

My Wildfire looks good when assembled... So, I'm not interested in trying to view that screw

Oh, thanks. I thought it meant my warranty was void

it should probably state, void if seal broken, but that would be insanely small and impossible to read so actually that suggestion is quite pointless, still, it would cut the confusion, even if u did need a magnifying glass

Fabric room?

Sounds like you bought a brick, try booting into bootloader by pressing power and volume down at the same time and you should see a white screen with androids on skateboards. What does the text in the top left corner say?

[Need advise] tiny lint under glass

I just received my second mytouch 4g. But with my uber luck, it has a tiny little lint under glass straight out of the box.
Does it mean that other lints can get Tere? If so, will HTC repair it under warranty?
This time I got a good screen, a good chip, and a camera in the middle of its space. I do not want to gamble again and willing to keep it.
The lint is barely noticeable, would you suggest me try exchange again?

Take it apart and clean it. Great things involve great risk... Just do it

Im afraid after that there would be dozens of lints more.
I probably will call htc and mail it for waranty repair. Do they have there a clean room for that?

My phone took a massive hit and now it keeps turning off :-(

This one had never been dropped. Tonight I was pulling it out of my pocket when some douchebag bumped me and it flew across the bar. Amazed the screen didn't crack but it broke my heart.
Time for yet another exchange...

Does anyone know if a last.kmsg will reveal anything interesting? I know it's a hardware problem but maybe it could tell me where?

Bet the battery is missing contact with the points... Try a folded piece of paper between the battery and the cover.
Edited cause I suck at Swype!

Removable back piece?

Does anyone have any idea where the top part of the back plate is removable? Seems a little weird as there isn't anything under it.
My only thoughts are that it could be a place to store the SIM if they bring out a 3G version, or its for some sort of official case which would clip into this
its for the case to attach on dude

Stupid question

The speakers holes+rain...easier to get water damage?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I wouldn't think so as my DHD had holes on the speaker and I have never had the problem. However the holes were a lot smaller but I still highly doubt it.
Well lets hope so eh lol
