Sounds like you bought a brick, try booting into bootloader by pressing power and volume down at the same time and you should see a white screen with androids on skateboards. What does the text in the top left corner say?

ive used the "TORCH" app and my mytouch 4g flash is broken.

Sounds like you burned the led up. apps like that come with a warning most of the time saying you could break the led. New phone should fix the problem.

If you're running Sense 3.0/3.5 then its power button and home pressed at the same time.

I think that's with the mytouch period. I was using that to take screen shots way before I rooted my phone.

These days, a lot of custom ROMs have built-in screenshot capabilities. Sense 3.0/3.5 is holding down power and home, and CM7 has an option that pops up when you hold down the power button. If any ROM doesn't have that feature built-in, you can use a third-party Market app.

Bet the battery is missing contact with the points... Try a folded piece of paper between the battery and the cover.
Edited cause I suck at Swype!

Are you serious? They had that for ages.
Settings> Call Settings> Additional Settings> My Phone Number
You can verify by going to Settings> About Phone> Status

Thanks I just called my buddy he actually put a lock on the simcard on purpose and didn't tell me about it so everything's ok and I got miui running on it now
