All new activations and add a line with 2 year contract on T-Mobile.

• Waived Activation Fees ($35 savings per line)
• Free 2 Day Shipping

Call 866-464-8662 option 3 and give promo code 13997 TMOFAV. Say you are a member of student rate if they ask
Can you apply this deal to a family plan or only one line?
is there a promo code I can use instead of calling?
your best bet is to call. you MUST state that you are a member of Student Rate in order to get these discounts.
---------- Post added at 04:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:34 PM ----------
also!! here is the phone number: 866.464.8662
and hit option 3 - - use promo code 13997TMOFAV
my stepfather just used the code, so I know it works.
ugh ok i guess i will have to call.
thanks though!!
They asked which school i go to. I blanked lol
sent from my Sensation on CM7 Alpha#10
lol you don't have to mention a school.
instead of a school you need to mention that you're getting a promo via student rate.
i decided to call and it was just above all easier to activate and receive my discounts over the phone.
i was also able to confirm that i was getting a discounted phone as well as a discounted monthly bill.
your best bet is to just call instead of trying to obtain the discounts online.
this is an awesome promo for the fact that you can apply the discount over the phone.
more deals should be put out this way so people feel more comfortable.
there might be a limitation on the number of lines you can apply the discount to, but i know you can.
Please don't use T-Mobile. 5 months of living hell with T-Mo for me. they broke my contract many times

I don't know if that's the discount I got but I combined two accounts into a family plan and got a free GS2 for the line I merged into my account. It wasn't due for an upgrade for 6 months. I also got a discounted family rate. I pay $120 for my account. 1000 anytime shared + $20 Android 5gb per line and unlimited texting = $120
Great deal. Gave my Sensation to my wife and got the GS2. Took a few phone calls and I was ready to move to Sprint but I finally got a Loyalty supervisor who earned my business. My bill still says I owe $600+ since they haven't removed the phone charge yet. If you can handle the bull**** TMo is the best.
Thats about what i pay. $125. That includes $15 per line for a g2x and sensation. $30 of which is phone payments

Are you on that new unsubsidized phone - lower monthly rate plan? $95 a month is pretty nice. After insurance and tax I'm up at $130 and change. Better than the appx $160 I was paying separately.
Well i have a sensation mine, g2x is the girls. We both financed the phones so thats $15 a month per phone. She gets 2gb of data for $10. I get 5gb for $25. 1000 whenever shared and unlimited txting. Its $125 and some change but after the phones are paid off our bill will be really cheap. Its a good plan in my opinion. Service is great ect ect

I was with them for 7 years. Added a line, they took away my Fave5s, gave me Truly Unlim on all 3 lines, but on the one that talked the most on the phone... they only had 500 mins and we were still charged the quoted $170 + fees for the overage on minutes. Then we called, complained, they said it was fixed and apologized. Okay, next bill, it's even MORE expensive! We call, complain, rinse, repeat, and since they had broken our contract, we called, asked for waived etfs... 2 months later, a letter came in the mail and basically said "We don't feel we did any wrong, so you have to pay the $600 in ETFs." I was really furious at this point. Basically I lost over $1000 to this company.
Wow. Thats ridic. Ive never ever been overcharged with tmobile. They have been nothing but perfect.

I wouldn't settle for that $1k. Take them to small claims court.
I've had tons of bs with T-Mo in regard to billing. Take this month. My bill is $675. They still charged me for the free phone. Supposedly that was to be taken off on Feb 6th. Nobody told me that until I called wondering why my bill was wrong again. In the past year my bill has been wrong 9 months. When I bought my Sensation they screwed up the payments every month for 6 months in a row. Every month my bill was $400 and change and I had to call up and go through bs for 30 minutes to an hour.
And see this is why I probably will just move to Sprint. Tmobile is totally inept. It's now the 8th and nobody has fixed my bill. I call up and the moron on the phone can't even read the notes. I tell her the relevant dates. She puts me on hold and comes back and says it doesn't say anywhere that the phone was free and that they can't remove the charge. These ****ing idiots make me sick. I'm right to the point where I would pay more to get better service. I won't pay a cent to cancel this contract either. I will gladly sue them in small claims court for fraud. smh
Of course all departments shut down their lines before she transferred me to cancellations.
I hate these people. Now for 30 more stories from 30 different morons at Tmo. I will record my calls and just sue them. It will probably be less time suing them in small claims court than trying to find a person with a living brain cell in their call center. Pathetic.

sprint bills a month in advance. Since you're new you're seeing a charge for your first month and next month but this should be pretty clear on your bill.

The prorated charges aren't that bad at all... Generally I buy things I can afford.
don't forget the activation fee of $35 or $36 on the 1st bill
I'm so scared to move from my ancient $50/month plan/bill onto these $100 and more plans but i also have new tech fever.
My Treo Pro is like the last bastion of phones allowed on legacy plans and i'm between a rock and a hard place moving forward. I wonder if Win phone 7 on sprint would allow legacy plans...,

Really? I did not know this. Is it too late since I bought my phone (and ported my number) 3 days ago? You just call 'em up and ask to have it waived, or what?
88.69 for me and I'm a new customer.
I think they waived my activation fee because they added corporate discount.
I think if you have any sort of discount they will wave the activation fee. I'm a State of MA employee and sprint gives us 15% discount. (nothing amazing but it helps).
Mines $1510.41, but its soooo wrong!

195.55 after tax, but no including my 23% disscount.. thats 3 phones (2 evos, and 1 hero)
EDIT:
and the guy at my sprint store matched the down payment i put at best buy, so i had 100 right off the top. and guess what i still kept my best buy cards. i <3 sprint ..
$167.38 for me and my wife.
1500 Everything Data + $7 insurance each.
It actually comes out to $10 more than last month as promised.
Did anyone else notice a mysterious $1 fee for "June 4 - June 6 Premium Data"? Could that be pro-rated from the $10 charge? Maybe that time period was before the June billing cycle?
Hi guys, this will be my first android phone and I am EXCITED. I'm coming from.....a sidekick LX.....haha sooo much needed upgrade.
At first, I called T-mobile and after much convincing they gave me the phone for $150, waived the $18 phone activation, and bumped my internet from $30 a month to only $20......GREAT! right?....but...
..then, my dad, who's the best person I know in getting deals and stuff, told me to call them and tell them I wanted to cancel my order because I could get an iphone 3GS for only $100 and could easily switch. So we did that, and guess what? They actually gave us an extra $100 mail-in rebate!!!
sooo my Samsung Vibrant cost after everything is settled.....$50

Yeah they do give great deals if you haven't upgraded in a while. Unfortunately, people like me abuse it and they give me good deals, but not killer ones like this.
I got my 8900 for 60 bucks, when it was 200 also. And they gave me a free Razr2 and such.
yeah i'm pretty excited, do you still have that BB or did you "abuse" the system again and get a vibrant haha
How the hell did you get $20 internet?
I have T-Mobile for 8 years and had my grandfathered Blackberry $20 data plan for 2 years until I switched to Vibrant and they told me they will need to bump my data plan to $25 Android plan. I am 18 months into the contract with 2 extra family lines on the plan (24 and 20 months into the contract).

You gotta say cancel as son as the automated service asks what you want. Them tell the rep you have been with them for awhile but feel like you're paying too much. They should offer to drop the bill a little.

Guys, there are A LOT of companies that get discounts, they just don't tell you. I used to work for Best Buy and just for that you get a discount, if you are a student, you get a discount, etc... also, he has $20 internet PLUS $15 for text, that's 35... I pay $25 for internet plus $10 unlimited text for all the lines in the family plan, so its also $35
yeah except my college recently got rid of college email accounts. And you cant have student/company discounts on flexpay and i haven't met the 6month good payment history (i have 8 months good payment history) to switch to regular payment but still apparently don't qualify for regualr payment. F**K flexpay!
Very good deal.
I got a decent deal too.
On my existing line 1 with 13 months since my last upgrade, they agreed to give me the $199 upgrade price since I ported over my girlfriend's AT&T number as a new line 2. I got a 2nd Vibrant for that line at $199. They also agreed to give line 2 the unlimited data plan for $25/mo to match my line 1, since I have the grandfathered G1 data plan with 400 text messages. I also have unlimited loyalty minutes for $90 for both lines.
So... $45 each line for unlimited voice, $25 each line for unlimited data, $199 per phone. That's a non-subsidy phone plan price with a subsidized phone price.
Been with T-Mo about 7 years.
I actually got a similar deal on mine as well.
My contract ended back in December but I'd been using an iPhone for a little longer than that. I wanted to upgrade but T-Mobile didn't have much that could compare to be worth extended my contract. After reading around about the Vibrant and the deals people were getting with them I decided to give them a call. I was connected to what I believe is their retentions department and told the rep that I was thinking about switching carriers to AT&T for the new iPhone. She immediately said that she would like me to keep my line with them and wanted to offer me a deal on the Vibrant.
She offered the Vibrant for basically $49.99 after it was said and done. My account was given a $100 credit and then the phone billed for $149.99. Waiving the upgrade fee and shipping charges also seemed to be standard practice. When I asked if that meant I had to use the $30 data plan she said she could discount the plan to $24.99 before I could say anything else. I gladly accepted.
My household has been with T-Mobile for near a decade now, although I'm usually the only one that upgrades out of our four lines. We have the same grandfathered plan from when we opened our account as well. I chalked the great deal up to being long-time customers with them.
I ordered the Vibrant thru T-Mobile.com almost 3 weeks ago. The order got messed up...BAD. They debited our account twice for $1200 ($600 x 2). After waiting for a week with no sign of the phone, the order status stuck on Pending, and no refund, I got fed up and contacted corporate. The girl who I am still working with has been very apologetic with trying to get the issue resolved. On Thursday of last week T-Mobile debited our account yet AGAIN for another $600. I called her immediately and told her what had happened. I could tell she was very frustrated because all of this is out of T-Mobiles control. From what I found out it's actually a 3rd party company that handles all of the telesales and online orders. She called me back a few hours later and explained all of that to me.
During all of this the order status was still "pending." Well what do you know, the phone showed up in the mail later that day. I called her again to tell her and after she put me on hold for a few minutes she came back and told me we could keep the phone for free because of all the troubles. We've received $1200 back over the past couple of days but there is still $600 that is in a hold state on our debit card. Hopefully it will post back soon. It's been pretty crappy not having $1800 for the few weeks. But we got a free phone and a free month of service out of this whole ordeal so I guess it was worth it.
I was just checking up on Engadget and saw this article. Hope this was the small push you needed to get a G2
The cheapest before was $50 with contract but now it's Free!

Doesnt apply if you have a no contract plan (The extra line that is)
I had been using a myTouch Slide that was given to me way back in April...so my G1 contract obviously ran out a few months ago. The second I saw this promotion, I jumped on it. Couldn't be more stoked.
Just ordered one of these so expect me to start patrolling these forums in the next few day.( I'm not a noob though)

Please be aware that getting yourself into a contract causes you to end up with a service plan far in excess of your actual use, and NO OPTION TO CHANGE IT FOR THE DURATION. The result of this is that you end up spending THOUSANDS extra over the term of the contract than you would by just paying up full price for the phone in the beginning.
DON'T BE STUPID!!!! CONTRACTS ARE THE RAPE AND TORTURE OF PUPPIES!

How is it spending "thousands" more, if you already have a plan with the $20 preferred android plan for your existing phone?
If you change nothing on your plan when you take the free upgrade, in essence, the phone *IS* free, you just agree to keep service for 24 months, and if you hate the phone and or said service after 30 days, CANCEL, pay the $250 ETF and sell the phone and recoup your losses. I don't see how "Thousands" of extra dollars come into effect here when most people already have a plan they like with the $20 preferred data plan. I know my grandfathered plan with all the free features is much cheaper than ANYTHING a EM+ can EVER offer me.

Yes, wifi eats out of your bucket unless you have the free grandfathered [email protected] UMA plan on your line, then all wifi calls are free. If you have a EM/EM+ plan you can't get that feature added. Old plans still have a 50/50 shot of having a loyalty rep add the SOC.
Ok. Rep didn't know what she was talking about.

Woot recently switched from the nexus s back to g2 and I love it. Saved me $50! Now I save another $150? Man this is awesome! Time to spend the savings on accessories ie dock and larger batt.
Jumped on this when I got to work this morning. Upgrade was 50 bucks, but comes with 50 dollar mail in rebate. Signed new 2 year, but didn't change my plan from my original G1 plan + some discounts I have had.
I've been running Gingerbread on my HD2 but this free G2 has me interested. I've been lurking on the G2 forums trying to figure out the current state of G2 developement. Still not decided if I want to pull the trigger or not. I really love the form factor of my HD2.

Um, you know that the G1 plan included HSPA+ and you are paying $5 extra for nothing, right?
Just to let yall know, if you are renewing your 2 year contract then you still have to pay $50 up front, you get back the $50 with a $50 mail in rebate which in time, makes it free. Oh and this offer is on the web only, not in stores.
I was going to get my G2 this weekend at the store because Friday is my payday but the offer ends on the 20th so I think I'll bite the bullet and order it tonight online and hope to receive it by Friday.

My ETA when i ordered and got my confirmation email with standard ups shipping was Friday, but when i checked on the site later in the day it was pushed to the 25th, i guess they're selling a bunch, eh?
Well I got my bill for February and what do ya know another increase in my bill. I looked over it carefully and couldn't find where the extra $ was coming from. Of course I called the "best customer support company" to see what the deal was. I was informed that due to "no reason" my "shared" plan is now split in to 2 different lines. 1st- $110 2nd- $19.99. For the last year is was $129.99 (shared). I went round and round with 2 different reps attempting to get an explanation of why they split the lines when you can not have a shared plan with only 1 line ($79.99). They basically told me how sorry they were and to pay up or leave. So now not only am I paying an extra $20 a month (2 epics) for "4G" which my area does not have but extra $ because they changed the math equation. I am sick of getting nickel-ed and dime-ed from Sprint.
I also posted on there facebook and getting quite a bit of comments from other people who are mad about the change. I guess I could leave without paying the ETF......
Old news. They will let you out of your contract with no etf due to the change in the contract. Discounts are material and contractual, regardless of what a rep tells you. Ask for a supervisor or call account services about it. If you choose not to cancel, they will issue you a one time credit for one year worth of the difference. They credited me with 80 dollars to cove the 6.75 per month difference.
If you want the number I called, let me know. Ill have to walk all the way upstairs to get it.

no hold time. a real person answers.
this number has solved more problems for me than you could believe.
i even called them before i even set up my last 2 lines and told them the discount on new hardware wasnt enough to keep me and that if they would give me free phones on both new lines, i wouldnt be forced to switch to vzw. i went to the shack that day and got 2 evo3ds for 99.99 each and got a 200 dollar service credit from retentions on my next bill for adding 2 new lines.
uh, $129.99 = $110+$19.99.
the only thing that changed was how the discount was applied. Instead of it being applied to the whole 129.99, now it's only on the 110.
It increased my family bill a whole 4 dollars, or about a dollar per phone.
Still better than any other wireless carrier bill.

Yeah I know its only $6 but its the nickel and dime-ing aspect....$6 here $2 service charge increase there....on and on....More money for the SAME service!
Haven't looked at my Feb bill, but mine the shared plan covered the first two lines and each additional was 20 bucks. So now they split out the second line separately as well?
i just hate that they would rather issue a bunch of credits, or cancel contract than just grandfather these things in.
no one would ***** if they said "all new customers from here on out, and for those of you who already have this, it goes till the end of the contract".
i know people who would leave over sometnig like this, but if sprint changed it in at contract renewal time, the same people would be like, oh, oh well, still cheaper than verizon.

correct. first line is billed at 110.00 and all additional lines including the second one is 19.99.
Wow. People are so whiny. It's still a hell of a lot cheaper than Verizon or AT&T and still unlimited data (which continues to increase usage on their network constantly, thanks to rooted users tethering constantly and not paying an extra dime for it, and rooted users constantly bricking their phones and having to get replacements that Sprint can't prove was user caused, which they have to pay for, and still try to keep unlimited data, and still try to cover cost of upgrading their network, and upgrading phone OS's cause people are whiny, and launch new LTE since Wimax wasn't good enough, and a plephora of other things). So they raised your bill in an attempt to cover costs AND keep their service unlimited AND offered you the choice to cancel with no fee. Stfu, seriously.

While his delivery may have been blunt, he's absolutely right. I was glad when they made that svc fee change a few months ago - it gave me the ability to cancel my contract and go to another provider that has respectable data speeds and actually has coverage in my house and place of business. If you don't like the new fee schedule, take them up on their cancellation offer and move on.
I also see your point, it sucks to be nickled and dimed to death, but all the carriers do it. Sprint is still the cheapest nationwide carrier in most scenarios.

His input was useful to me..
Maybe I wasn't all sweet and cuddly about it, but providing valid info isn't trolling. If anything "your" trolling Sprint. It's ridiculous to think it's Sprint's responsibility to absorb all cost of what they "try" to do for their customers, and additionally absorb all cost of customers who rip them off on a daily basis. They are doing their best and being reasonably fair about it.

I get frustrated with the incremental increases as well. But then I just compare my bill to ATT and VZW, and I'm a long way from those types of prices. I've had my FS1500 plan with 4 smartphones for a long time. When you add in all the stuff that's included at no extra charge from Sprint, I'm still saving over $1500 a year.
Frustrated: yes. Leaving: not on your life.

Once upon a time the discount applied to the whole bill. Then it didn't apply to the phone ins. Then it only applied to first two lines. Now it applies to only 1 line. Then they put in the phoney 4g charge. Then it turned into a smartphone charge not just 4g. (Most all phones are smartphones according to sprint). All the while the service has degraded substantialy along with the customer service. Sorry..mini rant

Last I checked, Sprint discounts only applied to items over a certain price limit. It's around $40-$50. It's been that way throughout the life of my contract. If you got discounts on your extra lines, which are indeed addon charges, you're lucky.
Andsamp is right. My corporate discount used to apply to the whole bill, now just to the primary. However, I've been on Sprint for 13 years, and have been on many different plans. The application of the discounts has changed with the plans, and over time.
I also would not be surprised if the application of the discount was different depending what company it was for. They generally work the same, but there may be some differences.

Ok sooo its $6-10 more a month.... Yea it adds up. But eat 1 less fast food meal a month and bam a extra $6-10.
I got that letter in the mail with my bill a while back. Couldn't help but laugh. It's corporate america screwing people over as usual.
Order of financial life: Work> get $$$> spend $$$. Repeat.
If your trying to live beyond your financial means then it's your fault. Suck it up or move on.

I just walked into a att store just to check out some cases and get some information on when I will be able to update / trade in my note 3... I walked out with $15 off my monthly bill! They have a promotion going on right now. Go check it out yourself.

It's not a promotion it's their new Mobile Share Value plan. Every Next device, device that's completed a two-year contract, and customer owned device receives $15 off the monthly device charge. Here's the catch. While the prices for the data packages remain the same (Mobile Share<>Mobile Share Value) the cost per subsidized device on the Value plan goes up $10. So if you a subsidized device and a non-subsidized device on the same plan you'll end up saving $5 ($-15 non-subsidized device $+10 subsidized device = $-5). I have two non-subsidized devices and my monthly charges dropped $30.
Thanks for the info. I will go into an AT&T Store, over the weekend, and see if I can benefit from this. I have a Note 3 that was given to me by Best Buy, as an insurance replacement. I'm not knowledgeable, but doesn't that mean I own the device?? I talked to AT&T this even, by coincidence, seeing what they could do to lower my monthly bill. I mentioned switching over to T-Mobile, and the offers started pouring in. I got six months free unlimited texting, my bill for this month was reduced by almost half, and I was given 5,000 extra rollover minutes! The retentions rep was also going to give me an early upgrade on the spot, somehow not realizing I already owned a really new phone. It would be cool to see if I can also get this $15/mo off of my bill, too!
Here's a comparison of the new vs. old Mobile Share plans. I don't think the old one's offered any longer. You can see that the new pricing can save you money under certain circumstances and cost you money in others. The old plan lowered the monthly price you paid per device based added to the plan with larger data plans being charged lower monthly device fees. The new plan is flat.
That was a game changer what T - Mobile announced at CES... I'm staying with att though. After 7 years of sprint and horrible service att has been very good to me. Plus the service is outstanding in my area

So what does this mean?
if you have a phone out of contract you can save money? If you upgrade your phone the usual way with the 2 year contract they charge you a little more...and if you go with the next plan what happens?
thanks sorry for the ignorance but the post to me isnt 100% clear

Still confused, myself. Talked to someone at AT&T last night. They were really apprehensive about entertaining my question about this plan, as I only have a single line. There's a lot of conflicting information out there. I've literally seen some reports which state that if you only have a single line of service, and you either own your device or are off contract, AT&T will automatically move you to this Mobile Share Value Plan, and you save $15/month. However, I've seen other reports that mention this plan is only really beneficial for multiple lines of service. And, the AT&T rep I spoke to, also backed up the latter. She stated it would cost more for a person with a single line, in the long run, so she doesn't recommend that plan to people like me. So, I don't know what to believe. Details seem really sketchy and all over the place.
didn't save me any money because i have too many lines to benefit. AT&T already discounts each line as you add more and more. switching to this actually increased the cost for some of my lines from $30 to $40 so it offset the savings of switching to the $15/line plan. YMMV
I still don't know why anyone in their right mind would sign up for the next promotion.

In case your one of those people who like to keep current tech. With this plan you can get the newest phone each year and not have to be on a two year contract or pay a large amount up front for the phone.

You "own" your device. You are still under the terms of the contract you signed when you purchased the original phone. The phone you got as a replacement "junk out" does qualify as a phone purchased as full price. The $15 off per month only applies to AT&T Mobile Share Value Plans, it sounds like you are on the old Minute plans. You are getting a better deal with the promo that AT&T is giving you now, switching plans would could potentially cost you more.
I hope this is helpful.

It breaks down the different plans AT&T offers and thankfully it's closer to plain english.

Thanks for the website btw.

No, he is still under a contract for the previous device. Once the 2 years from the device he purchased originally from Best Buy is over then he would qualify for the $15 off with the new mobile share value plans. As of right now he is still "paying" for the original device as device costs are built into the old AT&T plans.
I hope this clears that up a bit, if not let me know.

Its really a great deal. Nothing down and your plan drops 15 bucks a month to 25 per line and whatever the days is. We have have 10 gigs where we used to pay 120 for it 10 GB has gone down to 100. Each line that is on the next plan goes down to 25 a month from 40 a month.
I thank T-Mobile for keeping he pressure on them
