Hi I was wondering if anybody else has experienced the same problem when installing honey ice.
The bar at the bottom has no Home, Back or menu buttons, the bar is just empty so I have to use the hardware button.
So here's what I did about 4 times.
1. Installed modded stock then run cwm recovery then wiped data, cache and dalvik also tried without wiping
2. Installed latest vegecomb (N)
3. Installed update 3 (N)
4. Installed honey ice latest available version.
All boots fine but then no navigation keys.
Have I missed something obvious?
Any help would be great guys.
Nobody got any advice for me?
Really wanna get it running for my son.
Have you got a screenshot?

Hi, I am really confused
the status / notification bar is not available after update - and if I press notifications, then nothing happens.
Has sombody an idea how to solve it ?
I used the "GRI40_rooted_deodexed_busybox_apps2sd.zip" file.. it went fine..
Thanks
Did you do a full wipe? Required if coming from a different ROM
no, I came from the CyanogenMod 6, so I need to do a complete wipe ? Is there a new ROM with CyanogenMod or its to late and I need to wipe it ? An how ? Thanks !
Boot into recovery and do a full wipe.
Even if you're going up to CM7 RC1 or nightlies you need to do a full wipe.
thanks, it was working well
Hi guys,
I've tried installing CM9 from this post (With OpenGL latest version). For some reason, the status bar is not there! The same thing happened with flashing CM7 and another version of CM9. When I return to rooted stock, the status bar is back. Help????
Also, a popup comes up very very very often that says the process com.android.media has stopped working. Again, this has happened with CM7 and the other CM9 release too. This is prbly because all of the roms I was flashing were update-xxxxxx.zip.
If anyone could just link to a complete 4.0 install that wipes your apps (as opposed to an update), that would be greatly appreciated too.
Thanks,
Mathew

The update- does not mean it is not wiping system for you, because it does. That is just a generic name. But no ROM installer wipes your installed apps, or your system app settings. The only way to do that is with a factory reset. The problems you are having probably indicates you should do one. Back up your installed apps and data by doing a backup with Titanium Backup. Then you can restore them after the reset.
Lately I fished out my old Blade to use as a backup device, installed ColdfusionX on it, but it has this damn navigation bar (soft buttons) on the bottom. How can I get rid of them? There is no option in settings.
Thanks in advance. I'd ask in colfusionX thread, but it seems most threads in development are dead.
IIRC softbuttons where a separte zip to flash, just reflash CFX without it. Anyway, the only ICS rom that still has some activty is KonstaKANG, i suggest you to switch to that build, it has just been updated yesterday, it's smaller (138mb vs 190+) and has some custom options implemented by KonstaT
Question:will someone help me?
I will begin by saying that I have no idea where the problem exists for my individual situation, and it would be great if I could get some help.
Background:
I used to run Dead Rage 1.2.
Now I have been back and fourth between Skrilax nightlies and Bytecode's cm10.1 with little to no hiccups.
Over time I began to notice a little lag(notification drawer, swiftkey, and basic ui elements).
Problem description:
Then I decided to try some other roms to fix my issues.
When I flash Carbon rom:
- It has no lock screen by default (and I have not been able to fix this in lockscreen settings)
- The home button does not work (neither in pie controls)
- the quick settings panel button in the notification drawer does not open the quick settings( nor can I access the quick settings any other way)
- the home screen apps are strangely and slightly above the software buttons
I saw someone with similar problems in the posts of carbon but it was resolved by a single reflash.
I also tried a relatively new rom called Revolt on droidrzr:
- I experienced similar issues with the home button
- I did not delve into the issues more because the issues were similar to carbon
Explained, further:
As explained above I have flashed without issue before.
I am under the impression that the way to flash is:
1. mount system
2. wipe system
3. repeat
4. reboot recovery
5. mount system
6. flash
I have tried every variation on this set of rules I think is possible for carbon. I initially had TWRP 2.3. I have flashed without rebooting recovery, without mounting system, with a factory reset on the previous rom, wiping cache and delvik as well. If I don't wipe the system I get weird crashes and the home button still doesn't work but it fixes other things like quick settings. Sometimes when I would wipe system, and not do a factory reset, and flash carbon all my apps from the Bytecode build persisted. This made me think it was a recovery problem.
Then I flashed TWRP 2.5. I have similarly tried everything with TWRP 2.5 and get the same results. I have tried 6/21, 6/23, 7/2, 7/4 carbon on both recoveries.
I have a backup of bytecode cm10.1 and I am running that currently.
If some one would help me troubleshoot or fix my problem, I would love to get carbon. And I would be very much appreciative.
If I am in the wrong place please point me.
I did not post in the carbon topic because I do not have more than 10 posts.
I know that people are not paid to help me so I respect when they do.
Also if you need screenshots, I can reflash carbon and take some shots too.

Thank You So Much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know its soon and I am still crossing my fingers, but thank you!
Hi,
I have a N7100 running the latest nighty of OmniROM 4.4.2 with stock kernel. It's a great rom and would like to thank you for all your hard work. Just one thing.. Whenever I reboot my phone or flash something, something from my homescreen disappears. Either a entire homescreen or a folder or an icon or two disappear after restarting. I tried searching for a thread related to this but couldn't find any.
Any suggestions/solutions as to what the problem might be?
Oh, also I'm using the stock Kit Kat Launcher. Also have Action Launcher Pro installed as well.
