Hi,
yesterday evening my redmi 3s (http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_487801.html) crashed while I used facebook App.
it restarted
i gave in sim-Pin
but normally i use fingerprnt to unlock the phone - this does not work any longer - I tried to unlock the phone with my formerly used pattern but it does not work. perhaps i don't remember. perhaps it is erased, too?
now i can try a pattern each 120 Minutes - then phone is locked if pattern is wrong.
Do you have any ideas how to fix this? this is really important because i do not want to make new rom to the phone.
thank you in andvance

Always you Turn ON or reboot the phone, you must (Yes or Yes) get Unlocked with the Pattern or Pin, the Fingerprint do not work until the phone is unlocked at leat one time.
If you do not remember the Pattern or Pin, you sould to do a factory reset from recovery or flash MIUI rom via fastboot.

Hi
A a few years ago I was a bit of a rom flashing addict and knew a little bit about my devices and stuff but then I went cold turkey and just used my devices. Basically I have forgotten an awful lot and I have a simple problem and would really appreciate it if someone could help me.
I used to use Nexus devices so everything was pretty easy but I did manage to install a custom rom on this phone and it worked great and I just used it.
It is the JDC Team ROM and it's version is 6.0.1, it has TWRP 3.0.2.0 on it.
Just recently I got hacked or a virus or something on my Microsoft account and I use my same email for that as I do for Google, so I changed the password for the google account (on the PC I wasn't even thinking of the phone at this point, I just knew I had to change my password.
Then the problems with the phone began, I logged into the account on the phone ok but when I went to do a backup I must have hit the wrong button in recovery because it asked about letting changes happen or something and whatever I did I am so out of touch and forgotten everything I must have chosen the option were it now will back up but it won't restore.
A year or two ago I probably would have known how to fix it but I am an older gentleman who played about with Android devices for a while a few years ago because it interested me and now after not participating for a year or more I can't really remember anything.
So please help me out and tell me how I can get back to being able to restore my backups again?
Hey guys
Im in a bit of a trouble.
Sitting in front of my dads phone trying to unlock it.
Cant ask my dad anymore. He died few days ago. To get access to his password safe i really need to unlock the phone. He stored all of his onlinebanking accounts, insurance data and stuff there. Need to pays all his debts but i have no clue about what to pay and what is paid.
Already found his secret note about the master password of keepass but not the unlock pattern.
Factory reset is of course not an option.
Any chance that i can skip the pattern and unlock it with the PIN?
Its also still connected to his google account if this would help.
Bootloader locked, no root, no twrp.
Found a thread from 2013 that says i can boot to twrp without flashing to delete the pin data but im not sure if it works on this one.
Can you access your dad Google account from a computer? if so, you can use Google Device Manager to remove the PIN/password of the device, but I'm not sure if doing this will erase the data. Also, you should contact Google for a solution, considering that isn't unauthorized access, and have a good reason behind. There is a form to contact them. Sorry for your loss.
Hi,
Thank you for your condolences.
I tried to lock the phone but it wont let me change the password.
There is a message. You already have a screenlock on the phone so it wont be changed.
The link you gave me also only let me get access to the account but not the phone.
Any other ideas how to get access?
Alright, I'll try to be brief.
I've had my H1711 for a couple of years. Used it for AT&T prepaid. I replaced it with a Samsung about a year ago, so it's just been collecting dust. I recently decided I wanted to try rooting it, Huawei be damned, so I used DC Unlocker and got it rooted using the latest TWRP and Magisk. Root went smoothly. Long story short, I messed up and had to put it back to the stock firmware. However, this left it with a bootloader screen saying Phone: unlocked, FRP: Lock. However, I do not get stopped at verification. I can use the phone just fine as a normal smartphone. But, I'm completely unable to flash or boot anything, and I've been trying for days to clear the FRP lock, to no avail whatsoever. I've searched the XDA forums to exhaustion, tried everything I could find, and nothing works. I cannot clear this damn FRP lock. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of that damn lock, or should I shift my focus to something less frustrating? I'm at my wits end. Please let me know if you have any ideas. I'm gonna consider my other options. Thanks.
does the universal method for clearing frp not working?
Im having the same issue :/
Okay, so i'm out of the XDA world for a couple years, technology probably changed a lot, so no blaming for being noob etc.
So, i lost my phone on 25.12.2020, FindMyDevice and FindMyMobile are completely useless, all their functions are unusable for some reason.
I started panicking really, so i checked on some videos online if people can bypass the password and use the phone somehow. Surprise, it is easy AS FVCK! All they did was go in recovery and just factory reset it. On top, 3rd day i changed my Google password (which i will never regret in my life), so probably the phone is out of my Google account as well.
So my last hope is that i remember i was trying to root my phone and i couldn't. It was from Verizon. Unrootable. It was some bootloader v4 or some ****. Not really sure.
TLDR, Unrootable S10+ with unlockable bootloader, is it able to factory reset? Wipe it out and bypass the password?
It is always possible to boot to recovery mode and erase the device there. However, deleting the entire storage does not mean that the device is usable after that. When a device is not 'officially' wiped; it is mandatory to log in with the last google account that was on the device. It does not matter that you have changed your Google password. This securityfeature is called frp lock. Unfortunately, frp can also be circumvented when a device is rooted. But in order to be able to root, the bootloader must be unlocked and that is only possible if the device is unlocked. Your device cannot be used by others. But as you mentioned before, FindMyDevice did not work on your device so this lock is of no use to you. The only thing you can do is register the imei number as stolen and then wait for the device to be sold and checked.

Sorry for my bad English.
Mate thanks a lot for your answer, you really helped a lot! Im glad those busters wont be able to use my phone now!
