Can someone please post here stock recovery.img for OPT im now on TWRP but i want to install H2OS OTA normally.
Thank you so much
You may have chosen to keep the twrp recovery on your device from beeing overwritten by the stock recovery. This is done in twrp by renameing the "/bin/recovery.sh" (afaik).
Before installation OTA update checks for all checksums of files it will patch. So you will not only need the stock recover but at least to replace the recovery.sh with the original one.
Much easier way is to flash 2.0.2 full (not the OTA!), flash 2.1 OTA, flash SU and reboot in one session from twrp . I have done this and it worked without a problem.
Just make sure your battery is fully charged before
I'm getting an updated binary error. Started getting it in TWRP after flashing a custom kernel. Could you post your stock recovery? Or the stock kernel? (preferably the latter I suppose)
I've tried digging into the full 2.0.1 and 2.1 ROMs to find them, but I can't track them down...
Yes,i need the stock recovery
Well I need stock recovery because of hydrogen OS hope someone have it..
All you need is recovery paparapapa ahahahah
I managed somehow to have back stock recovery
When i flashed TWRP and then Gapps for Hydrogen OS it asked me to stop stock recovery to flash or something so i press dont stop, and voila im back on stock recovery

Hello everybody, I come here because I have unbrick my A500 with a zip named "root-3.2.1-V4", this zip use EUUS acer tool to flash Android 3.2.1 (it seems like a stock rom with superuser installed and OTA disabled) with CWM 5.x and HC bootloader I presume, so I want to flash an ICS bootloader and lastest thor recovery for flash the lastest Android 5.1.1 but I don't find how to flash the newbootloader without the OTA and update.zip (because all link are dead), I have try this tutorial but i can only select the fourth recovery/bootloader and it make nvflash error :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773323
Now I'm lost behind the dead link and the tutorial who failed to flash.

Please help me.... I want to install custom rom but the twrp not installing in my phone it showing error when I flash it by fastboot.... After unlocked my phone one time i flash a stock rom and after that no ota update install and no recovery install please help me give me a solution plzzzzz..........
1) With flashing TWRP - what error did you get? If it was an error such as 'Image not signed or corrupt', that's normal. I think it shows up as we don't have the cryptographic keys to sign the recovery, but as long as adb reports [OKAY] at the end of the response, you've flashed TWRP. Ensure you reboot into recovery straightafter to prevent the stock recovery replacing TWRP.
2) Which ROM did you flash, and what do you mean by no recovery (i.e. are you able to boot into recovery, or does it come up as a blank screen?)
maybe the information in the bootloader are already of interest..

Stock ROM will automatically overwrite TWRP if you don't boot into TWRP and enable system modifications. And, flashing stock ROM will also overwrite TWRP.
Please READ and SEARCH the corresponding threads before posting such silly questions.
Hi Experts,
I've flashed TWRP and the stock rom posted into XDA with GAPPS included , everything is fine and working.
Now I want to disable TWRP and deploy the stock recovery image bacause I need to sell the phone and after an factory reset TWRP comes up, to me it's acceptable but for an simple user this can be annoying.
I was not able to find the factory recovery.img for Nubia Z17 to flash it. Do someone knows if it's possible ?
This can cause problems ? I don't want to lock the phone again I just want to deploy the stock recovery and let the phone with the actual ROM.
Any help will be appreciated.

I think you need to flash the "recovery.img" from the stock ROM to the phone.
And befor that flash the stock ROM
And I have to admit that I have not tried this but have also thought of doing it.
Let us know what happens.
Thomas
Understood. So I need to flash the Chinese stock ROM without GAPPS and other stuffs.
I think maybe just flashing the Chinese stock ROM it will replace TWRP.
BUT in order to install GAPPS I MUST have TWRP right?
What I want is to flash everything to have the phone functional to sell to an simple end user, this means with PlayStore, GAPPs and without TWRP.
well flashing the chinese ROM will NOT replace TWRP. I believe I tried this once.
I would do the following:
0. keep TWRP
1. Flash the chinese stock ROM
2. Flash GAPPS depening on your customer
3. as a last thing flash the stock recovery image

understood, but how do I get the stock recovery image?
Take the Chinese Rom and open it with WINRAR or winzig.
At the top Level you'll find a recovery.img about 18mb in size.
I believe this is it.
Flash it with fastboot utility.
Cheers Thomas
winzig should be WINZIP
Hi guys,
First, English isn't my first language so, sorry if it hurts your eyes :/
Second, I'm new to TWRP / root etc... (since yesterday) and I don't fully understand the exact meening of all words like flash / rom etc...
So: I'm actually blocked in the "Your device can't be checked for corruption. Please lock the bootloader". Apparently it's a normal screen now, when we boot we always see this. OK ( at least that's what I read)
My volume keys aren't doing anything and I can't access my phone anymore.
I can access TWRP if I want.
Thx for responding :good:
Adb & fastboot still recognize your device ?
If yes flash twrp as recovery with fastboot and boot into it with fastboot.

How can I know if ADB recognize my phone?
I can access TWRP so I don't need to flash it again ? Is there a difference between just flash TWRP and flash TWRP with fastboot ?
Sry, my bad, i miss read that you can access twrp, sry, I thought you can't, what happens if you flash a rom, which twrp is installed, what were your steps that you end stuck on bootloader message ?
Edit: if your issue is that you don't know how to start flashing, read the Los thread and follow the op.
Instructions:
1. Install the Universal bootloader and your model specific modem.Failure to do so will not allow flashing the ROM!
2. Update recovery [Recommended -> Official TWRP for Axon7
3. Factory reset if coming from another ROM.
4. Install ROM
5. Install GApps (optionally) [Recommended -> Open GApps (arm64) (7.1) 2017-02-01 or Newer
Download all files from the thread and put them on to your microsdcard, if your twrp is up to date you don't have to do this again. Flash the zip files in the order of the instructions, just press install at twrp and choose the zips, you can add multiple and flash them together.
Man, trust me, I'm not a lazy man and all I want is to have my phone back even if it's stock
I don't understand what you're trying to make me do, sincerely
If you can give me a link where I can have a guide steps by steps or make this guide for me that would be the best thing of my day...
... I really need to wait wtf
update: I wipe all my phone data
I no longer have TWRP installed but the "basic" android recovery
(with those option when you start it:
Reboot system now
reboot to bootloader
apply update from adb
.
.
.
Power OFF)
I'm such a **** wtf
I really don't know your issue, except you seem not to read enough. What guide you want ? How I flash a custom rom to my phone ? How to use twrp ?Why you unlocked your bootloader ? How did you manage to have the stock recovery back ?
I have to guess what you want and what you already did . If you need a guide, here are severals in the guide section.

So you are stuck with stock recovery and not TWRP? If so I would find a guide to "flash" or install TWRP in what is called EDL mode.
If you can do that, you then need to:
boot directly into TWRP and wipe dalvik, system, data, and cache.
Then install universal boot loader and modem for your device. (A2017G)
Next install latest TWRP img found on https://TWRP.me
And lastly reboot into recovery again and install Rom (version of Android you want to try) and any other modifications you want (kernel, gapps, magisk, etc.)
If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask. Good luck!

What? You can flash the ROM after flashing the universal bootloader, then also flash TWRP via itself, and you'll stay on the latest...
Rebooting without a ROM is bad. just bad. even rebooting to recovery. that's how i got my dfu brick

I am not 100% sure what you are saying. But yeah, sure. Flash the Rom after the universal bootloader and modem. Then flash twrp. Then reboot.
If you think that is better for OP then that works. I haven't ever had the problem of rebooting to recovery without a rom installed but you're right that it probably is safer.
I only suggested that because the TWRP that comes with the real old universal bootloader on LOS thread is also very old. So, flashing a rom with the new version I thought would be best to avoid errors. Thanks!

The thing is, after you flash the universal bootloader, the TWRP on the sd gets replaced. but the TWRP that you are using is loaded in RAM. So even if you install a TWRP version you'll stay in the version you flashed before until you reboot. If you install the universal bootloader and then install the TWRP img you'll keep everything as-is on the next reboot. I discourage rebooting without a system especially on a G because any interruption might lock the phone in DFU. On an a2017U that wouldn't be a problem because the phone boots into edl if any software error is present
