Everything works fine but I cannot access AD Recovery from MAGLDR after I flashed clockwork recovery to 3.1.0.0 from Rom Manager, I found out that messes up the clockwork recovery from MAGLDR, how can I undo this?
Did u tried to reflash recovery ?
Ultimately you can task 29 the phone right ?
Same Problem
I Have been having the same issue, any solutions?
I don't think MAGLDR can used to flash recoveries using Rom manger. I think only cLK can do that.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Same problem here! i tried 3 things:
1. removing some apps as suggested here: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/4198-cant-boot-into-the-new-cwm-recovery-heres-a-quick-fix/ and then went to rom manager and "reflashed" it says succesful but when selecting "boot into recovery" the phone just reboots back into andriod.
2. after 1 and went into magldr and manually selected AD recovery: still get the red errormessage
3. I also tried reflashing by going into magldr and using usb option and then running the DAF file. It says it is connected (so does my pc) but flashing from the DAF executable gives message
---
An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (736)
Error Description: EnterBootloader missing
Info: .\RSPL\BootLoader.cpp (176)

Strange thing is: i also get this message when my phone is not at all connected and i run the DAF.exe so i presume there is a connection problem?
What to do now?
---------- Post added at 05:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:30 PM ----------
Ah, hope i can be of use. I solved my own issue: i forgot to run DAF with admin rights.
I also forgot that this reflashing wipes my android installation. Especially because i just wanted to make a new backup with CWM recovery. Gosh... how ironic.

Hello there!
When you've got <ERROR: ERROR: Cannot read ramdisk image> there is also a solution.
You've to be sure make a back-up of your SD-card onto you're PC and after you've copied your SD-card then have you formatting this SD-card onto PC or AndroidPhone.
Then when SD-card is formatted finished you have to download magldr 1.13 again and update via datacable and you're phone onto bootloadermenu (color-screened).
Than you've to download CWM recovery 3.2.0.0 and you upload this recovery also via bootloadermenu again (volume down) and when 100% ready you're phone gonna started up and you've push your powerbutton on and let button not go after you seen magldr 1.13 menu.
Then you gonne volume <up/down> and go to AD recovery and you wil see that the message <ERROR: ERROR: Cannot read ramdisk image> disappear and your phone works again normally without these error(s). :victory:

Hi Everybody,
I am a newbie, i was trying to install aliba's gingerbeard rom via rom manager, but i dont know what happenend and just my device stopped working, and hanging on cyanogenmod symbol,
Pls guide me to unbrick, i have read some threads in our XDA itself, i am not so clear from where to start to unbrick,
and i placed some roms in sdcard/update.zip via card reader and used the recovery screen (i knew that recovery is not clockwork mod) but the error is
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
and finally after retry 10 it is showing
E: Can't find /sdcard/update.zip
Installation aborted.
Pls help me to sort out this,
Thanks in advance
This should be in general (I wish I was a moderator, I'd do it myself)

Already bricked phone, can you please guide me how to get clockwork mod recovery on it,
as i told i am newbie, dont know where to start and how to get clockwork mod recovery

No such file or directory
E: Cant find /sdcard/update.zip,
Installation aborted
Please note whenever i go to recovery screen i can see below in yellow letters

I see the same errors when I go into recovery, but I can still launch the fake flash version of recovery. Make sure the update.zip is the correct version.
Recovery is failing to mount your SD card. I'm not sure what the issue is
Did you try USB Unbrick?
year!
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RTEY0Q97
get that adb.zip
then you should get some recovery files. Hmmm, how to upload??
pull recovery files to the "files" folder.
just run:
adb push files /
adb shell busybox --install /sbin
adb shell nohup /sbin/recovery &
you could get into recovery and flash rom again.
try searching on youtube
Put the Clockwork Mod update.zip and your backup or another ROM (as zip file) on your SD Card. Then press Volume down + Power Button. Afterwards select Recovery and wait until you see the red triangle. When you see the red triangle press Volume up + Power and wait until the Recovery screen appears. There you select Apply update.zip and your phone should boot into Clockwork Mod Recovery. From there you can flash a new ROM or restore your NANDROID Backup.
heres another way... go download this http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XBAOCSWZ
and find testimage.zip in it. Put it on your phone's sdcard renaming it to LEGEIMG.zip
off the phone and go to boot loader and start back from unrooted eclair...
the link above is form got it form this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=894465
but anyway... since you like e2 recovery so much... you did not do a factory reset... go do that and the loop should go away....
@spiritusrector
THANKS SOO MUCH lol...you just saved me 35 bucks
answer
go on youtube and search for androidreviews123....he has a guide on how to unbrick

Also tried flashing original wm 6.5 rom, wm works without problem but again I receive same error when trying to load ad recovery from magldr.

Hello,
I am running android 2.3.7 [typhone v3.6.9- magldr]. I wanted to upgrade my rom, so I got into magldr and then to recovery, but when I choose "ad recovery" I get an error massage in red "ERROR: ERROR: Cannot read ramdisk image "
plese help ...
How can I solve this problem ?
thank's
Reflash recovery and then see it it's reproduces or not.
If you have do a task29,you have to reflash MAGLDR and the recovery who is needed for this ROM.Task29 delete MAGLDR and Recovery.
Maybe you need reflash your device recovery.
You really don't have to task29 your device.
Just download HD2 Toolbox, connect your HD2 to your PC and hit update in the left corner.
Thats it

Is there anyone who can explain to me how I can remove Team Win Recoverey twrp v2.4.0.0 and how to install afterwards Team Win Recoverey twrp v2.1.3.
My Acer A500 starts only in the Team Win Recoverey twrp v2.4.0.0 modes.
Backups are on the tablet and on the external sd card but it is not possible to install them.
Error error ......
After a reboot I see: "Secure boot: image checksum Link Fail!"
I want to install ROM "CM10-FLEX_V6Supercharged_Rev2.3_GappsIncl_Public " but this is not possible with twrp v2.4.0.0.
To install TWP 2.1.3-Triumph.zip with twrp v2.4.0.0 gives "Failed".
--------------------------------------------------------
17-02-2013
I tried to install:
- Ezterry A500's Pub Recover
- Thor 1.7.3
- Ra-recovery 3.17 (recovery-ra-Iconia-3.17-GNM)
During a Reboot each time TWRP 2.4.0.0. is the only one to start so I can't install anything else.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
18-02-2013
I also tried:
- The hard reset.
- The reset with a paper clip.
- Several other ROMs but these do not work with twrp v2.4.0.0. Only ROM "Acer A500 Slim 01-14-2013 (1st Release)" should work. But unfortunately I can only see the ACER logo. Even after 1 night waiting you still see the ACER logo.
- Start all over with "Blackthund3r_A500_A501_CWM_Root_v2" software is also unsuccessful.
During a Reboot each time TWRP 2.4.0.0. is the only one to start.
I'm doing something wrong but??
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
19-02-2013
I tried:
USAGE-FLOW CHART http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1816560
- Different stock ROMs. Name change to update.zip
But still, the error message "Secure boot: image LNX checksum fail!"
Only a boot with recovery "twrp v2.4.0.0" still succeeds.
This gives a error message "Unable to locate zip file '/ sdcard / SDCARD: update.zip".
E: Error installing zip file '/ sdcard / SDCARD: update.zip ".
Is there anyone who can help me. It doesn't matter anymore what rom I put on as long as it works.
Thanks for any help

Can you install THOR's 1.73 recovery? If so, then you should be able to flash the ROM you mention, That's how I did mine.
I tried to install:

You'll lose all data, so pop out your external micro card, but you might want to try the hard reset...the one where you toggle the orientation button. Have you tried that?
I also tried:
- The hard reset.

Have you tried flashing a "back to stock ROM". That would also install the stock recovery and remove root. There are XDA threads on this.
Good luck...I hope you get it fixed

I have bricked my ACER and phones several times (and a few times it seemed as if I wasn't gonna be able to restore them). But I always got them running again.
Might take a lot more googling, but you'll eventually figure it out.

Yessss, I did it . The problem consisted of two problems.
1) APX driver reinstalled.
2) Installation on a Windows 7 PC. (Windows 8 will not work)
Then start all over with "blackthund3r_A500_APX_Flash_Tool_v0.4" software.
What a great tool.
Special Thanks to blackthund3r
