here is my xperia specs:
phone: xperia play R800i
android: 2.3.4
build: 4.0.2.A.0.58
i cant remembers kernel version!!!

Don't "play" with your phone if you don't know what you are doing!

Did you pull out the battery? My PLAY didn't respond before until I pulled the battery. Happened from installing an incorrect kernel.

The fact that your phone vibrates when you push the power button means it may not be dead yet...
Pull out the battery and re-insert it, but don't press the power button. Hold down the search button and connect the usb plug to see if fastboot mode starts up.

If you read the output, you have a bad block in boot partition, so doomlords kernel is too big now, your stuck with stock kernel.

i'll keep it in mind!

I've often had bad block encountered error messeges when things have not gone well, but i've never had anything actually stuff up permanently, despite the rom being damaged being the logical conclusion from that error, u can always try other versions of the kernel or another version of fastboot tool, either might fix your problem... hell, it might just not like that particular kernel for some reason, similar things happened on my old phone but there was never anything wrong with it, even 6 months later, so dont give up just yet.

Can't unlock bootloader on my Nexus 7

I'm trying to unlock bootloader.
After command "fastboot oem unlock", I get the error:

Drivers installed. Device is new. Bought yesterday.
How to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.
What bootloader version?
Try this:
- Power off
- Power on into bootloader/fastboot mode
- on the PC: fastboot reboot-bootloader
- now try again
this usually fixes those kinds of problems for me.

Bootloader version 3.34.
fastboot reboot-bootloader did not help(( displays the same error.
I haven a friend with a new N7 delivered with 4.1.2 on that same bootloader, 3.34. He cannot update to 4.2 OTA. I even tried to sideload it for him with no luck. All I can deduce from this is that that JB version should not exist with that version of bootloader. Something seems borked.

How to enable debugging mode in fastboot or recovery mode? I think, that I cant unlock bootloader because debugging mode turned off. I cant turn on my device, it hangs on boot animation(like letter X).
Yesterday I download file via uTorrent. My device freezes. I turned him off. And he refused to boot(hanging on boot animation).
I've booted my device in APX mode.. How to flash bootloader on my device with NvFlash?

Sorry for my english, I don't ynderstand you.
I did so:
Connected my device to PC.
Booted into fastboot by pressing all keys.
Selected recovery mode. Displayed "android with !".
I holded "volume up" and "power" button for 15 seconds. And then apx mode booted
Don't hold the buttons like forever.
Press them and release them again, also try some other combinations if that one doesn't work.
If you keep torturing the powerbutton, of course the device eventually reboots.
Be creative.
Use common sense.

Thanks... but when I'm using "wipe data/factory reset" - my device freezes, and when I restart him there is no changes, and I also can not unlock my bootloader.
I think that to unlock bootloader needs debugging mode. In recovery mode there is menu item "apply update from ADB". So I can enable adb. How to unlock bootloader or flash by this way?

Unbrick Yureka ( Fastboot not opening ) 100% working.

Now, The real pain of your phone in a boot loop or being bricked is understood when you brick yours device too...!!!
I just did Brick my Yu Yureka today, and after a lot of internet study ( not from IIN lol.... ) i just unbricked it.....
You must know what went wrong so you could have :-
Tried to downgrade Yureka to kitkat ( coz you didnt liked lollipop ).
In the process of rooting, flashed a 32 bit recovery. (LOL)
Were trying fastboot for the first time and didnt end well.
Now call it a day and Focus.
What i pressume that you know is how to install drivers and all and are having fastboot and adb installed in your pc. ( Else you couldn't have bricked your phone. ) now
the main problem is to boot into fastboot.
[Solved] -
1.) Open the yureka's case and pull out the battery.
2.) Press the vol up button and then insert the usb cable. { Remember first press then insert cable or it wont work. }
3.) while holding the vol up button pressed insert the battery, wait for a sec and then you would be inside flashboot. kudos....!!!!!
The second part is to correct the mistakes you commited in past that is to reflash the correct zip.

Could you please explain what you did so that i could check.... I have used this method to unbrick 12 yurekas.... so chances that this doesnt unbrick is ~= 0 . but still your feedback is always welcome.
At what step are you facing problem ?
I removed the battery, preseed the volume up button, while holding it i connected it to pc with cable and then inserted the battery!
Only thing that happened was that as i connected it to pc, red light appeared in led!
I would be very happy and thankful if it worked!

Dude am unable to record a video, I think till Sunday it'll be done.
But still you can try the given steps..... Remember remove battery... Press vol up.... Insert cable.... Vol up must be kept pressed.... Red light will appear.... Insert battery.... And boom into fastboot.
This thing ll only work if ua cell is soft bricked, not hard bricked!!
This ia for solving a soft brick.
As of now in yureka it is not possible to.plve hardbrick because we dont have needed files to revive our hard bricked yureka through download mode.
yeah it is for soft brick.!!
Dude, it is butunderstood that this method implies fir soft brick only. Hard bricks require JTAG which is a resource only available with service centers. Try calling them as your warranty is still present. But I would still like to ask, how did you hard bricked your phone.?

Help, I know it's been asked, can't find the answer, can't boot past the LG logo

Please help, I went to update my magisk to 11.6 as it said, everything else is fine. It's rooted has NATFs ROM on it, 3.2 and everything else was otherwise fine. Then, it rebooted to install the Magisk update and here I am stuck with a phone that won't boot past the LG Life's Good screen. The screen dims slightly after the LG logo is displayed and then nothing. Absolutely nothing at all. I can't boot into recovery or bootloader, and the device isn't recognized even though my computer makes a noise as though it's connected when I plug it in to the computer's USB port.
Please help, I'm really stuck here.

I'm a moron. Can I ask for really stupid steps here because I'm kind of nervous about making this worse.
1. I was able to oem lock and unlock, however I still can't get past the LG screen. I can get to fastboot, nothing more
2. I'm sure everything is wiped, I'll worry about later, I just want to be able to get to recovery and nothing is registering at all
3. ADB reboot recovery isn't working at all I get error: device '(null)' not found
Currently, I'm sitting with the device plugged into my computer on fastboot mode displayed on the screen with the command "use fastboot reboot" if the fastboot is available.
fastboot devices shows the following:

Is there a way to get to recovery from fastboot?

Make sure to do this after locking oem and before unlocking oem.

After you do that button combinations it's going to ask you if you want to wipe or factory reset etc, you choose YES twice!. If you flashed recovery before then it'll take you over there after the choosing yes (it's not really gonna do anything just suppose to take you to recovery)
Edit: Okay let me be clear. When you lock the oem you should do the buttons combination. If you do them successfully then it should take you to a white screen. Asking you about confirmation twice. Then it will wipe and factory reset.
Now when you already have oem unlocked, you do the same procedure and which will take you to white screen then you choose YES twice then it'll take you to recovery (if you have successfully flashed it before)

The proper command is;
Fasboot flash recovery image.img
And make sure the twrp file is stored locally from where you started the command prompt.
If it worked and flashed then try: Fasboot reboot recovery
To go to recovery.
I was able to run the following command from fastboot (looked it up):
fastboot flash recovery image.img
I see the following error message:

I do a daily backup at about 3am to my SD card. Thought about restoring from it, but then realized this is an opportunity to start all over which is something I was leery to do because I didn't want to set the phone up again. Yet, I'm doing it now to see what was causing the awful battery drain.

Samsung J3 stuck on boot after installing TWRP

So I installed TWRP and my phone won't turn on. The samsung logo appears and thats it, I cant access the system recovery or anything. Please help

Hi, what model of this phone do you have? If you have the J320FN I will find a way to dump the recovery I'm using.
Please let me know!

Okay cool.
Open ODIN, connect your phone and tick the box next to AP/PDA (Depending on your ODIN version).
Click on AP or PDA and select the recovery I'm about to send you.
Press 'Start' and wait for it to finish its process.
If you are successfully able to boot into TWRP try Wipe>Advanced Wipe and deselect all apart from Data (This will erase all of your settings and app data).
Try to boot your phone!
If that doesn't work let me know I have a flashable zip you may be able to use.

I don't quite understand what you mean?
Just flash the recovery through ODIN and let me know if it's working.
Don't forget to boot the phone with Power, home and Vol+ held down to access recovery (After you've flashed TWRP)
And sadly I'm at work at the moment so I can't access Skype.
I will be on here frequently as you can tell so I'll reply as soon as I recieve notifications.

Sorry!!! Forgot to mention, pull battery and put it back in and power it on using Power + Home + Vol Down
You should see a message asking you to press the volume down, press it and then you should have entered ODIN/Download mode. Try ODIN then.
No matter what you have flashed you should always be able to access Download mode.

Hm... Maybe the battery is drained from attempting to fix???
Try charging it with the phone off and try again. (Using an AC adapter)
Download Mode shouldn't be affected at all...

Okay Ill give it a quick charge for 15 minutes. I dont know why it keeps shutting off, i dont think the battery is drained as the phone can turn on multiple times
Yeah I know what you're saying. I believe the batteries actually have leftover capacity to help stop it discharging low enough to kill the battery

It seems you corrupted aboot partition. If sbl is still from Nougat you can try entering download mode with EDL cable (or do a makeshift EDL cable with tin foil). You can read how to flash sbl/aboot using emmcdl here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75457489&postcount=49 or find similar posts

You can buy one on ebay for $7-10. You can also try a trick with tin foil (just google "nokia 6 edl tin foil")
