My kindle fire can't flash rom - Kindle Fire General

someone can help me ??
my kindle fire can't flash rom
how can i do
my kindle fire is dead ??

Looks like you download a bad rom or incomplete. Redownload it, and push it to your fire via adb...

Turn off signature verification in the TWRP settings. That's why you're seeing this line:
E:Signature verification failed

it helped for me to label it "update.zip"
i had to manually change the .bin to .zip in MS dos prompt. Windows 7 was being homo-esque at the time

Oh boy. Help

TWRP installed. was on pre 6.2.1 Factor reset to deliver as a gift for xmas.
Reboot and stuck in TWRP. factory reset from there but just goes right back in to TWRP. I'm stuck.
Suggestions?
Flash a rom, and never factory reset.

have you tried
adb shell
idme bootmode 4000
or vashypooh's kindle fire utility to change the bootmode?

Linux. Adb isn't seeing it. Is there a specific mode within TWRP I'm supposed to be in? I can mount and I've tried installing Update zip with a rooted 6.2.1 and CM7. says installing but then gets the misc error and after reboot just bounced back to TWRP
Can get zipped ROMs on there. Says installing. Complete. But nope, just back to TWRP. Damnit
Reinstall the drivers.

[Q] Cyanogenmod7 problem

Hi everybody. I was trying to install cyanogenmod7 on my rooted kindle fire. I got halfway through the process i rebooted the kindle fire, it started to load clockwork i got the message cwm-based recovery v 5.0.2.7. Apply update from sdcard. Then all of a sudden i receive a message saying: Install from sdcard, finding update package, opening update package, but got error saying can't open /sdcard/update.zip (no such file or directory) installation aborted. Now when i turn on the kindle fire i just get the same message. Can't access nothing at all. Just stuck on that message. I was hoping that there might be a way to fix this problem.thank you.
Is the name of the ROM file called update.zip saved at /sdcard?

no it is just sdcard/update.zip
At the given state of your KF, can you see your KF via adb command i.e. adb devices.
If you are able to see your device, then the fisrt test I would receommend to copy the update.zip from your PC to the KF via adb push command i.e.
adb push x:\update.zip /sdcard were x: is your PC drive where the ROM resides.
Then reboot your KF either via the power switch or adb command.
See if the recovery boot will recognize the ROM or not.
If not, I will recommend to chnage your recovery startup program to FireFireFire. You may search the original thread of inatlling FIREFIREFIRE to your KF instead of the one you have now.

Turn off your KF.
Turn on and wait for yellow triangle (in older FFF) or logo(in FFF 1.3).
At this moment press and hold power button until light goes red. You will boot into TWRP.
I did and the screen flickered and turned on. I used Kindle Fire Utility with BurritoRoot3. Once it was on my kindle i used BurritoRoot3 to install FIREFIREFIRE and i dont think it flashed TWRP but i didnt know if i could still flash TWRP and if you can how?
You still can use fire utility to flush TWRP. Get the last version from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399889.
Or use gscript : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500935 for install touch CWM. It not recuire adb, but with CWM you cannot restore TWRP backups.
Or try :
http://liliputing.com/2011/12/how-t...ire-backup-restore-flash-custom-firmware.html
or
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/12363-how-to-windows-install-twrp-20-on-your-kindle-fire/
check recovery.img in the recovery folder of kfu - has to be ~10mb
if not delete the file and redo the installation
there is a little error in the current run.bat of kfu (0.9.3) - use the run.bat from this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23536888&postcount=1007
I actually re rooted my kindle after the 6.3 update and it automatically installed twrp which I use to install cm9 kang.

First, make sure the installers are installed. Then try installing TWRP and FFF with KFU. Also, shouldn't this be under Q&A?

Thanks for your help but i don't have a factory cable. :crying:

Then you will need to use firekit and usb install fff and twrp http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1430038 so you will need to remove the back or see about purchasing a factory cable and fastboot flash fff.bin and twrp.img
