Kindle Fire Bricked? Please Help! (In panic mode)

I was following the tutorial at http://rootkindlefire.com because the tool wasn't working. I got to the point where I typed in these commands and thats when things went downhill in a hurry.
adb shell
su
idme bootmode 4002
reboot
When it rebooted I was instructed to reinstall the drivers but, this was unsuccessful and I tried to reboot both the device and the computer. Afterwards when I tried to access the device using these commands
adb root
adb remount
It said the device cannot be found.
The device is listed as Android ADB Interface with and exclamation point by it. At this point I have no Idea what to do because it is stuck on the Kindle Fire logo and I think I may have bricked it for good. I hope that someone can help remedy this. I booted it into fast mode to try to install the twrp recovery if that information helps any. I am running windows 7 64 bit.
First, What where you trying to do on the kindle fire? Rooting it or something else?
Second, Do you have TWRP installed on your kindle fire?
PS: Don't freak out yet. Always stay calm there will almost always be a fix.
Search the forums. This has already been covered more than a dozen times.

Don't panic yet. I am guessing you are stuck at the yellow triangle and not the Kindle Fire logo?
To reinstall drivers right click on the device in device manager and point the installation to where you have your kindle device drivers. (should be .android folder)(if you have followed the instructions to root then you already updated those files to contain the Kindle drivers)
Then you need to change out of fast boot mode (4002) back to regular boot mode ((4000)

I seem to have gotten it working. After several reboots with both devices the KFU finally recognized the device and allowed me to change back to normal boot. Now I dont have to buy my dad a new KF

[Q] Any Suggestions?

I recently rooted my kindle no problems and installed android market and TWRP with no problem using kindle fire utility but one day i accidently pressed 4 on the Kindle fire utility and it did the stock update.zip on my kindle and i lost my root + TWRP recovery but regained root access by using kindle utility again but i cant seem to get TWRP back on there. every time i go to press 5 for install twrp it says TWRP img found and tries to install but i end up waiting forever and i power off and on like it says any suggestions?
I was never able to get TWRP to install with KFU. I eventually gave up using KFU and just installed it manually, which isn't hard to do at all:
http://liliputing.com/2011/12/how-t...ire-backup-restore-flash-custom-firmware.html
a few notes on the link: there is a typo in there, make sure you type adb. another suggestion i'd make is to put the img in the platform-tools folder

[Q] cannot install TWRP

I am trying to install TWRP on my dad's kindle fire. when he got the kindle fire, his jobs computer support guys installed clockworkmod and market on the kf. now i am trying to install TWRP and i always get stuck at (idme) permission denied and can't carry on. i have been trying to get this working for days now .. and i have not posted enough to ask questions in dev. so can anyone please tell me how to use the current recovery or how to restore the kindle to complete factory setup so i can install TWRP
i am running a window 7 32bit and ubuntu 10.04

it dose not go to fastboot
to switch to fastboot use:

maybe you would have to update the drivers at this point
then resume with the next point

Turn off your KF.
Turn on and wait for yellow triangle (in older FFF) or logo(in FFF 1.3).
At this moment press and hold power button until light goes red. You will boot into TWRP.
I did and the screen flickered and turned on. I used Kindle Fire Utility with BurritoRoot3. Once it was on my kindle i used BurritoRoot3 to install FIREFIREFIRE and i dont think it flashed TWRP but i didnt know if i could still flash TWRP and if you can how?
You still can use fire utility to flush TWRP. Get the last version from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399889.
Or use gscript : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500935 for install touch CWM. It not recuire adb, but with CWM you cannot restore TWRP backups.
Or try :
http://liliputing.com/2011/12/how-t...ire-backup-restore-flash-custom-firmware.html
or
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/12363-how-to-windows-install-twrp-20-on-your-kindle-fire/
check recovery.img in the recovery folder of kfu - has to be ~10mb
if not delete the file and redo the installation
there is a little error in the current run.bat of kfu (0.9.3) - use the run.bat from this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23536888&postcount=1007
I actually re rooted my kindle after the 6.3 update and it automatically installed twrp which I use to install cm9 kang.

still not working but plz keep trying to help me this is my sisters kindle i borrowd it from my 11 year old sister
if you can get into twrp select mount. it will mount it on your computer normaly then download SuperSu.zip and put on the root of sd (means in no subfolder) then flash it. it should boot normaly
When you root your device (Kfu method) you wont have FFF or superuser or galls. You have to do those things manually. On all the guides in this forum it says that.
