Guys, apparently Motorola has abandoned Xoom in Brazil, it still in version 3.1 and Motorola Brazil is evaluating the possibility to upgrade to 3.2. I wonder if i can use the U.S. ROM and receive the OTA updates. Thank you!

You can change your rom to US: http://ivansotof.com/2011/05/flash-xoom-us-firmware
Aí, não encontrei mais o tópico aqui, já troquei alguns e funcionou de boa. Qualquer coisa, manda uma mp.
For the brazilian wifi only xoom it's Ok to flash the US rom, but for the 3G version you must use the European version (mz601). I have on my Vivo 3g (mz605) the european tiamat honeycomb for the mz601, with 3g working, and the American EOS ICS, ( no 3G). The EOS team is cooking an ICS for the european/asian/south american xooms. Sounds like it will be released soon.

hi guys
Recently like today in turn on my Iconia and guess what? updates arrive but i have a question i have 3.1 rooted but i want to know what its the diference beteewn each and other... if had root? changes? or if i have to wait to do the update??
sorry for my bad english!!
Don't apologize about your English.
Spanish is now the # 1 language in the USA and you are a citizen.
I wish I knew Spanish as well as you know English.
Thanks--
Anyone can help?
As far as I understand it, the 3.2 update is mostly under the hood improvements, with the exception of the resizing feature for those apps that aren't displayed full screen. I would think hard about updating though since we don't have root for the 3.2 yet. I haven't received the update here in the states yet so I haven't had to decide. I'm hoping that by the time I get the ota update someone has figured out how to root 3.2. Hope that helps.

If you do this update you will need to root first, and you will lose root on 3.2.
Still no root for 3.2.
You need to root it first, install Clockwork Mod Recovery, and install a custom rom based on the acer 3.2 update. Im currently running one that's basically the stock rom with root, and works well. Y yo tambn soy de Puerto Rico, so te puedes comunicar en confianza.

Recently update with a ROM from BRASIL i'm from El Salvador, when a try update with Motorola Software update , my phone appear how VIVO from Brasil, is posilbe get the rom for El Salvador o change in build.prop this information?
there are apps to unlock all market stuff (with changing country i think)
maybe it works...
If you received the brazil update Over The Air, even though you're in El Salvador its likely that the update you received is the official update from Motorola and there isnt a specific ES update. the other option you have is to Root, Unlock and then load a different ROM manually. There are plenty of guides on here that will help you with each step.
I get the rom from other Site, the official 2.3.6 with weptop and root ok, but i have the dude about where i get one rom for my country,
Redgards
I am contemplating buying a Samsung Galaxy Note International version from eBay and the seller posted the MPN is GT-N7000ZBADBT.
Looking at the "Development" section, under the "Root" thread, I don't see this MPN at all. So does this mean that any MPN that is NOT SHOWN in the above thread is NOT ROOTABLE?
I have still not heard this ROM,
Have you confirm this is not carrier restricted?
I recommend to purchase N7000 with regular available ROM.
I found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1452024 and this:
http://www.notebook.de/samsung-galaxy-note-n7000-smartphone-p-43124
Looks like it's a LA4, with GT-N7000ZBADBT being just a German product code?
Yes I have note with open German product code DBT and is ok. Even for the updates on official Samsung is quite fast...

I was concerned earlier because I don't see this MPN in the list of all N7000 ROM thread in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
I think I should buy the note from Global Mobile in Amazon, just in case...
GT-N7000ZBADBT is the pcode from the zba=16gb blue note dbt=open Germany device. The nothing to do with firmware.
zbe=32gb
xba=16 white note (not 100% sure)

You don't have to email your seller. Just go to settings/about phone, take a screenshot and post it here. We'll help you root your phone as soon as we get some more info.
It won't be a major issue, Recently purchased devices are usually comes with non rootable ROM as preinstalled ROM
You can downgrade to rootable ROM, and after rooting, you can update to any latest ROM with mobile Odin/CWM.

Hi. I have been offered this one: N7000ZBAXEU
But after a search on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997 nothing was found.
I am guessing that while the first part,ZBA stands for 16GB, XEU should stand for the country code (I don´t know where do you get this info guys, but I understood that it works this way)
XEU looks quite european to me, but I just can´t make risky assumptions. Any idea where this ROM comes from and if there are rooting solutions and so on for it?

No, not every ROM will work smooth in our Note, but some roms are nice, faster and with good battery life. I'm using Ultimate ROM LT4 and works brillant!
Next time, please use English to post here, XDA is an international forum with that language.
Thanks/Gracias!

Philz kernel and recovery causes some kind of issues with AOSP ROM installations, please use CF-Root, Siyah, CM or Dorimanx kernel before flashing SuperNexus.

Ok guys so i Decided to take one for the Team and tried the indian version of the 5.1.1 g920i rom.
Good news! Everything works perfectly, even the 4g, with was main main concern. I just suggest a dirty flash to keep your phone in the same language you have now.
You can also use locale to change your language back if you did a clean flash.
Well, that's it, give it a try if you want a taste of lollipop....

Sorry to bother you here, but I created a thread asking about a similar procedure I want/need and so far nobody has replied.
I have a Sm-G920i with Australian Firmware (PDA and CSC), I just want to be sure that I don't screw this phone as this is paid by my office and can't take the risk to trip Knox or disable any of the original feature and future ones like Samsung Pay.
So, are you so kind and answer me a couple of questions?
1-) Did you use Odin, if so, just selected regular options and flashed, nothing special for this kind of things?
2-) It's obvious it didn't fail you, there are people saying that doing this fails with odin, but now that you flashed it, do you have PDA and CSC from India also? Do you know if future OTA updates are possible?
3-) Is everything working normal, all radios, fingerprint etc...? I'm assuming it should as it just an official version flashed, but just want to be sure.
4-) Have you read or do you know something about that supposedly, once you flash this Rom from India Samsung Pay won't work on it?
5-) Do you know the previous specific Region you had (PDA and CSC) can you check the ones that it's currently showing?
Thanks in advance, you'll be helping a fellow latin american guy that it's not a newbie on rooting and flashing roms but definitely I am a newbie with this specific procedure and because it's not a phone that I paid for, needs to be more careful than before.
Eu uso a operadora vivo.
I use a live operator.
I despaired when I realized that I installed 5.1.1 Rom had English and Indian, but had not en.
After giving up, I formatted my system and was already disconsolate and accepting defeat, but do not know because I decided to recover a Back-up my samsung account (I had done a few days)
To my surprise the Pr-br was activated, although if I am in languages and input not there exists our language

hi buddy
1. yeap, used odin, nothing special.
2. Pda and csc are from india now, and since i haven't rooted i guess OTA will work fine. Since the model is the same and i can't wait for brazilian carriers to update the phone, i'll keep instaling whatever rom is released first for this phone.
3. Everything is fine and dandy
4. I thing samsung pay won't work on this rom. They don't have it in india or Brazil, so no changes for me here.
5. i had the brazilian pda and csc. Now it's from india.

I really appreciate your response. Just one thing, about Samsung Pay, right now, it hasn't been released yet, so nobody had it, but a quick Google search for Samsung Pay India tells me sonething different, according to dozens of articles I found, apparently India and most if not all regions will be able to use Samsung Pay.
When I asked about it, it was more like I asked that by doing this something was tripped or flagged and teeth Samsung Pay won't work, but if because of the market, I think we safe by asking that it should work when is released.
Thanks.

Mine was an Australian baseband, I flashed this Rom with Odin and everything works as expected, only thing you will notice is that if you connect to Smart Switch app for PC or MAC it will still detects the Original CSC, I was curious about it and installed Phone info apk and it shows correctly the information, both PDA and CSC are now from India but it shows that the Original CSC was XSA (In my case), Firmware's CSC code is INU (India) and Active CSC code it says XSA/INU, so I'm assuming that it's showing multiple CSC.
Does somebody know if having the Active CSC showing XSA/INU causes future OTA issues?
**Edit**
I decided to remove the Re-activation Lock in Find My Mobile settings, and after that and enter to recovery mode, it changed the CSC to India, so for those of you with same issues, remember about Re-activation lock.
I live in Honduras, central America, got the 920I and yesterday I got a message about the OTA update which said it was 5.1.1. Haven't tried it because I'm not at home and there's no Wi-Fi in here.

Go to Settings-Language and Input-Language and choose Portugues (Brasil).
I've seen various reports of people saying they've got the update for their XT1640s.
But only three reports about the regular, non-Plus G4, XT162x.
So have any of you got it?
Build number is NPJ25.93-11 -- This is the final version and has been rolling out officially in Brazil since December 6th, although in stages, and very few (and i mean really few) users were able to update their phones.
Mine didn't get it yet.
If you received it, what is the size of the OTA? And is it fluid and stable?
