Stop posting in all the tablet forums asking about the eee pad slider. When its announced and official there will be forum for it. Chill out and do your own research about it and wait.
1) there is no where else to make requests like this.
2) It is actually better when more people make requests like this because that shows xda that there is a community behind this product, otherwise they might as well ignore it.
In conclusion. Thank you to the user who made this request and I would like to second this request, though I already have by email.
I really would like more people working on rooting the eee pad slider.

And you think posting in the Galaxy Tab forum is going to help with that? That's what the general section's for. You can also PM the moderator. The only thing I've read about the Asus Slider is that the first run produced had the keys placed too high preventing it from closing and that they'll all need to be repaired or replaced. Not a great start.

There's no point in setting up forums for low volume devices - there's not enough people who participate. Look at the Jetstream forum, pretty sad. Regardless, no one in the Tab forum can help with or cares about getting an Asus product its own forum.

Is you're also waiting for a100 - look here: http://www.tabletowo.pl/2011/05/17/exclusive-acer-iconia-tab-a100-wycofany-z-produkcji/ (english ver. below).
I think it would be best not to post non a500 staff in here. For a moment I thought you were refering to the A 500.

If I recall correctly, when this forum was setup, the mods said it would be home to both the A100 and A500.
Back to the OP though, apparently it is delayed, not cancelled. Shame, becayse I was looking forward to pocketable honeycomb!

Dave

This is good for Asus owners, wish we got the same treatment from Acer.
I hate the kind of post who claim having new info... and redirect to another brand stuff...
stop for sakes to post OTHERS tablet information... if someone got information related to ACER post it, else... I don't get the point.
If I want read ASUS information... I go to ASUS webboard.

Agree 100% with you. It has nothing to do with the Iconia and the title is misleading.

In direct violation of the TOS! HANG HIM!
I think he means the post from today:
Erneute Beschwichtigung von Acer zum Android 3.1 Update für das Iconia Tab A500
on the linked site, but he don't link directly to the right post. ^^
Why not linking directly?
But it's in German. So i think it is pretty useless for many people here...
This is great news for rooted acer owners. We will have a custom 3.2 ROM soon after the release.

I don't know why he didn't link directly but i cant post links until i have written 8 comments. ^^
It only says that there is no release date known yet, the update could be released every day or take even weeks. They apologize and so on ...
still not see the point... they speak about 3.1 so far, not really 3.2///
I found this while looking for the location of the two mics on my A500. I have a low post count so I can't post an external link but you guys are smart enough to figure out how to make it work.

Cool post. Thanks. Now I know how to take apart my A500 and what battery it uses.
So that means we could upgrade the a500 with a 3d card and antenna and convert it into an a501 ? Anyone has electronics knowledge enough to reply this?

What about the drivers?????
Now that I've rooted my A100, I'd love to get the Samsung Touchwiz interface on my tablet, but are there any ROMs for the A100 at all?
It looks like the A100 is being shunned by the XDA community. Currently there is no recovery that works on the A100. Many of us have requested a sub-forum for the A100 by sending the Mod a PM and posting in the various threads requesting such a sub-forum.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1229251&highlight=a100
So as of the moment there are no custom ROMS for the A100.
I did see the Acer released the kernel stuff so maybe there is hope.
Edit... I just saw this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17971869&postcount=23
